A charming estate for 16 people with a pool and a large garden for relaxation

Leave your worries behind in this spacious and peaceful vacation rental. Gather with friends and family to recharge, have a good time, and relax at the Bel Air estate. Just 15 minutes from Royan, 20 minutes from the beaches of the Grande Côte, and 25 minutes from the Île d’Oléron, Rochefort, and Saintes, this 270 m² 18th-century Charente-style house, with its 5,000 m² garden and large swimming pool, is sure to charm you.
Two adjoining houses, “Cordouan” and “Boyard,” accommodating 10 and 6 people, respectively, furnished in a coastal country style.
7 bedrooms, including 2 master suites, plus a living room/game room with a sleeper sofa (160x200). In total, there are 8 bedrooms sleeping 16, 5 bathrooms, and 6 toilets. For meals, the Cordouan cottage features a table seating 12 and a central kitchen island with seating for 4. Outdoors, you’ll find seating for 18 under the arbors. The cottages are fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and entertainment (board games and children’s games). You’ll also have access to washer-dryers, dishwashers, electric stovetops, microwaves, filter coffee makers, Senseo and Tassimo machines, toasters, and kettles.
The 5,000 m² backyard is perfect for playing and relaxing in the shade of the cherry trees. Two permanent stone barbecues are available near the garden’s water sources.
We live on the estate but have a private garden on the opposite side of the large garden designated for the vacation rentals.
The pool is open daily from May through the end of September, from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and is heated starting in early June. It measures 10 m x 4 m and is 1.50 m deep; it is surrounded by a fence with a gate and treated with salt using electrolysis filtration (no chlorine odor and gentle on the skin). We maintain it every evening and close the cover for added safety and to retain heat.
The beds are made upon arrival, and bath linens are provided for the duration of your stay; however, we do not provide beach or pool towels, toiletries, or food.
A cleaning fee is optional at a rate of 350 euros and must be requested at the time of booking; otherwise, a security deposit check for the same amount must be provided upon arrival.
Check-in and check-out times for the rental are from 5:00 PM to 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Weekend rental schedules are more flexible, with check-out possible until 6:00 p.m.
The cottages are also available for separate rental for those who wish to return in smaller groups.
The property is not fenced but is only bordered by horse gates on the street side and by a wheat field on the garden side.
Pets are not allowed; please do not ask for exceptions.
All noisy parties are prohibited (bachelorette parties, bachelor parties, music, dancing, etc.)
We also do not allow extra mattresses to be added for more people than specified in the reservation, and during your stay, you are not permitted to host additional friends or family beyond the number of people reserved (meals, cocktail parties, evening gatherings, in the garden, by the pool, etc.). We prioritize quiet and comfortable stays for relaxing with family or friends.
