Historic Downtown Chillicothe 1840's Loft

Total renovation recently completed on this historic 1840's loft apartment in the middle of downtown Chillicothe's revitalization area, located above a Day Spa and Salon. Plenty of off-street parking in our private parking lot.
Soaring 11' ceilings. Living room features a decorative fireplace, work station/desk, large comfortable couch, rocker, end tables and more! Primary bedroom is quite spacious with a small desk/dressing table, fireplace (decorative only), armoire, closet, and a queen bed. Secondary bedroom has a twin bed and dresser.
All new kitchen cabinets with butcher block countertops and renovated bath. Fully stocked kitchen with dishes, traditional coffee maker, toaster, and more included. Refinished original hardwood floors throughout. New light fixtures and a 50 inch smart TV with free Netflix.
This loft is a safe space for folks from all minority and marginalized groups. Guests of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations are welcome. Registration #177773

This is a very charming property in a very charming area. The space is very nicely decorated and very clean. The spaces are ample with the exception of the bathroom. Check in was easy and parking was easy. Everything you need is within walking distance. But I couldn’t give it 5 stars due to a couple safety hazards. When you enter the unit there is a change in elevation in the middle of the hall. We both tripped on it several times. But the worst hazard is the bathroom. What the photos don’t show is that you need to go up two steps to enter the tiny bathroom. When you open the door to leave the bathroom, the step is right there. If you forget, you’re going to stumble or fall. So this is a very nice place but you need to be cognizant of the safety issues. We are both 72 years old so that’s probably more important to us than someone younger.

Very quaint place and great location. I highly recommend staying here. However, if you have problems climbing stairs ask about their other VRBO property on site. Met the owners and were such a joy to talk with. Cat is also great to work with - good communicator.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful loft. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and walking distance to restaurants. We enjoyed the short walk to the park and the walking trail by the river. Check in was easy and the host was very quick with responding to our emails. We would definitely recommend this place when staying in Chillicothe.

Beautiful loft

The loft was very pretty and had everything we needed. It was nice to relax and be close to things. We walked to dinner and down to a park close to the loft. Cat was very easy to work with and responded immediately to our question about arriving early. Thanks so much!

Short family stay

We were looking for somewhere close to shopping locations and this Vrbo worked out well. Everything funtioned as advertised and we felt very comfortable here. We felt that the host put time and effort into this location and communicated very well.

A quiet respite

I needed a place to stay in between two different cities. Chillicothe was that spot and this loft fit the bill. Beautifully appointed and great location as many restaurants were within walking distance. I felt completely at home and was able to unwind during my stay. If I find myself coming to the area in the future, the 1840’s Loft will be my first choice!

Lovely loft!

Loved staying here after a concert at The Magestic Theater! Right across the street! Highly recommended! If you have physical issues & struggle with steps, might not want to stay here! Lovely loft! Quiet evening even on a Saturday! Felt very safe here!

Saved our butts.

I work at the local hospital, but I live over 30 minutes from it. Huge snow storm was coming (12 inches predicted) and I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it to work. Last minute I booked this cute loft. It was warm and roomy. I took my shovel, my fan, and my tea with me. However, I didn’t need any of them because the host had thoughtfully provided them. The loft is right down town, could have easily walked to a few of my favorite restaurants had the snow not been a foot deep. Thanks for the last minute stay - saved our butts.

Delightful

Charming, clean, great location, easy parking, good communication with host. Historic building high ceilings, all new kitchen, cute little bathroom up 2 steps from the main floor. Be aware this apartment is up a lovely flight of stairs- the second floor.

Sisters Road Trip

We greatly enjoyed our temporary home away from home. It is nicely decorated and functionally updated. It is close to the Hopewell National Park, which was one of our destinations. Restaurants, shops, and coffee are all within walking distance. Parking is available on the property. The owner quickly replied any time I needed to contact them. We would definitely stay again if ever in the area again.

A very impressive apartment. Way better than any hotel. Large rooms, clean as a whistle, close to the theater and many pubs and restaurants. No driving required. Believe me, we'll find a reason to come back to stay here.

The location couldn’t be better for those looking to explore our historic downtown. Booming with quaint stores, coffee shops, antique stores, restaurants and more, you’ll find plenty to do within walking distance. The historic Majestic Theater is located right across the street. We are a short walk to beautiful Yoctangee Park, the historic Pump House Art Gallery and the Paint Creek Recreational bike/walking trail. Tecumseh Outdoor Drama, UNESCO World Heritage sites and Ross County Parks District’s trails are just a short drive and we are less than an hour from Hocking Hills State Park.
