Overlooking the Les Cheneaux (Snows) Channel, Marquette Cottage provides a front-row seat to the stunning scenery of Marquette Island, the largest of the 36 islands in the Les Cheneaux chain. The island acts as a natural barrier, protecting our mainland property from the open waters of Lake Huron, creating calm, warm waters—perfect for kayaking, fishing, and boating in the island’s sheltered bays and coves.
A Cozy & Spacious Interior - Marquette Cottage features a modern, well-equipped kitchen with updated cupboards, countertops, and appliances, making meal prep a breeze. The comfortable dining and living area is ideal for gathering and unwinding after a day on the water, while pine-wood paneled walls provide a warm, classic cottage atmosphere, enhancing the cozy, rustic charm of the space.
The main level includes a full bathroom and one bedroom with a queen-size bed, while the upper level features three additional bedrooms, with 4 full-size beds and a set of bunk beds, offering plenty of space for family and friends.
Outdoor Fun & Unbeatable Views - The covered front porch offers one of the best views on the property—watch the kids play in the sand, take in the fresh air, and soak up the peaceful lakeside setting.

Four Bedrooms: Sleeps 10. Main level: one bedroom with queen-size bed. Upper level: One bedroom with a full-size bed, a second bedroom with two full-size bed, and a third bedroom with a full-size bed and a set of bunk beds. The living room couch also rolls out into a bed. Bed linens and pillows are furnished. Renters are asked to provide their own bath and kitchen linens.
Kitchen, Dining & Living Room: The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, featuring ample cupboards and counter space. It includes a full-size electric range and refrigerator. There is a table with chairs in the kitchen area, as well as a larger dining table with chairs in the open living room.
One Bathroom: The bathroom has a fiberglass combination tub and shower, toilet & sink.
Covered Front Porch: A comfortable porch extends along the front of the cabin with one of the best waterfront views on the property. Porch chairs are provided.
Picnic Table and Charcoal Grill: A family size picnic table and kettle style grill are provided.
Sandy Swimming Beach: Just steps away from the cabin, the sandy beach and beach dock offer the ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, or building sandcastles with the family. Kids and adults enjoy playing on the floating water mat provided in the swimming area.
Community Firepit: Nestled on the beach, the community campfire area provides the perfect atmosphere where guests can unwind, share stories, and enjoy the warmth of the fire under the stars.
Spacious Yard, Sand Beach Volleyball Court, Basketball Court, Horseshoes, Swing Set: All cabin renters at LCL have access to 250 feet of waterfront, beach, docks, volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoes, swing set, and a spacious, well-maintained lawn area suitable for croquet, bocce ball, cornhole, or most any other yard game.
Docks & Boat Slip Rentals: LCL’s location on the Snows Channel is the ideal spot for boating & fishing enthusiasts. The updated docks (built in 2020 & 2024) can accommodate most any size boat as well as provide the perfect spot for catching some rays, relaxing & enjoying the view, or fishing for a variety of pan fish, including perch, pike & bass.
Fishing Boat Rentals/Kayaks: Outboard fishing boats are available to rent and LCL offers two complimentary, one-person kayaks for guests to use on a first come, first served basis.
Dog Friendly: Your dog is welcome to accompany you on your vacation adventures. The charge for a dog is $20 per night/$100 per week with a limit of 2 dogs per cabin. You will be asked to sign a dog agreement & waiver form. Upon request, this form can be sent prior to your stay, for your review.
Internet Access: WiFi is available in all cabins, though service may occasionally be inconsistent.
On-Site Property Managers: Mark and Esther Engle reside on the premises and are available to provide assistance at most times during the day and night.
