Welcome to Rudders Cottage, nestled within a quite neighborhood yet walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants, ferry terminal and beautiful ocean views. This oversized 4 bedroom home was renovated February 2022 with all new luxe amenities for easy living. Enjoy salty ocean breezes throughout the home or air conditioning on hot summer days. After a day at the beach, enjoy the spacious backyard and deck with a new grill and fire pit for s’morzing with friends/ family.

Easy, laid-back stay!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It was in the perfect location (easy walk into town), had everything we needed, and the hosts were excellent. We will certainly book this home again in the future!

Perfection in Martha’s Vineyard

This property is gorgeous! It is exactly as described, close to the ferry and near restaurants. The owner is very responsive and helpful. The yard is an added benefit- meticulously kept with green grass, trees and hydrangeas - it’s lovely to eat outside or in. Very quiet neighborhood on a beautiful street. A wonderful place to stay!

Great location, excellent property

We enjoyed a long weekend stay at this property. We would highly recommend you choose this house for your visit to the island. High quality finishes and beautiful furniture. Hadley provided excellent communication and ensured we were at the house and checked in. Will definitely stay here for our next trip to Martha’s Vineyard.

Vineyard Haven

The house was more beautiful than the pictures! We loved spending time outside and the location is perfect to get to all the great places in the Vineyard. Our girls also had a lot of fun playing ping pong each night! Hadley the property manager was absolutely wonderful to deal with and was super responsive and accommodating! We had a great trip!

Incredible renewal

My wife and I renewed our weeding vowels during our 20th anniversary and we stayed at the house and we loved it. This was a great moment for a great event and we can’t thank Hadly enough.

An absolute pleasure!

Our stay was perfect! The house is beautifully furnished, clean and fully stocked. The communication with Hadley was fantastic, she was always available and responded quickly. The house had lots of space to do whatever you wanted, from sitting outside to playing ping pong in the finished basement. It’s very close to the ferry and Vineyard Haven shops, which was easy and convenient. We’ll definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks so much!

MV Vacation

Here for a family celebration, the location was very convenient to the rest of the family and was one of the best VRBOs I have seen, well appointed and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the living areas were well appointed and comfortable. We had an evening get together with 15 people and it accommodated that group easily. The outdoor area is also well appointed and is spacious. I would definitely come back again, they offer a 10% discount for return visits. The Vineyard is a special place for me and this property made it all that more special

MV Girls Trip 2025

We absolutely loved our stay at Rudders Cottage in Vineyard Haven! Hadley, our hostess was most responsive and very helpful! Her home provides everything you need plus so much more! The property is so close to all the good things… shops, ferry, restaurants, bars, etc! The home is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood chocked full of beautiful landscaping and flowers! We found the property to be very clean, and comfortable! I will totally stay again when that time comes! It truly made our annual girlfriend adventure so relaxing to come in and night and chill! Amazing Getaway

We had an amazing long weekend here! Hadley was always reachable before and during our stay. We are a blended family of 6, with 4 children ranging in age from 6 to 13 years old. The yard was great for playing catch, and the patio was beautiful at night with s’mores and a glass of wine. Bedrooms were large with just as big closets! The ping pong table in the (spacious) basement was quite a hit with all of us! One thing not noted in the description but to my delight was the outdoor shower!!! Looked brand new and also very spacious. The house was walkable to downtown Vineyard Haven, or a short Uber to other spots on the island. We will come to stay at this lovely home again for sure. We can’t wait for our next visit! Thank you, Hadley, for having us!

Excellent Property

This is an excellently maintained property situated in the heart of the town with restaurants and bars easily accessible. The house is beautiful and the garden and deck absolutely lovely. Host is wonderful and I cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone deserves to stay here at least once in their lives!
