Welcome to your hiking vacation! The Mount Walker Inn is set right at the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula and the Hood Canal, making this a perfect retreat for hikers and those who want to explore the outdoors. Unwind in this comfortable ground floor studio, all set up with a modern, minimalist look. If you're coming back from adventures in the forest, just hang up your coat on the rack near the bathroom and step into a warm shower. The mini-fridge can store your restaurant leftovers and all your trail snacks, which you can then enjoy at the dining area. When you're done relaxing in the gazebo in the outside common space, enjoy a favorite TV show. Just pull the room-darkening shades closed when you're ready to drift off. High-speed WiFi and streaming (using guest accounts only) add convenience during your stay, while heating and air-conditioning offer ultimate comfort.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Hiking weekend

Lovely room. Great location! Shower was a bit small and toilet is a squatty short potty. We could not get the wifi to connect. Also it would have been nice to have a couple choices of pillow density. There were four nuce hard pillows, and it would have been nice to have a couple softer pillows. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Very nice and cute room!

Loved the room and location. It was very clean and much better than expected! the only thing was that I wished the tv was already connected to a WiFi for us to watch tv at the end of the night, very annoying to have to try 3 diff connections and complicated passwords. However, not a deal breaker and would stay here again.

A Nice Place to Be

I really love the location! A great place to land in the Olympic Peninsula. Super easy to check in and out. Nice King bed, quiet, and very clean. The two main issues that prevent a 5-Star rating are: Internet WiFI didn’t work and the shower head is not adjustable which is a bummer (unless your 6’5”) It would also be nice to have utensils and plates. I would return if these issues are resolved.

This is a great location and area. Cute place, but we had a few issues. The listing did not list a refrigerator, but the picture showed one. I inquired for confirmation and never heard back except for very general answers and not to my question. The lock is super confusing. You are given 2 different codes (you only need 1) and it took multiple times to get the door open on several occasions. THe QR code above the door to show you how to use the lock doesn’t go anywhere. Very frustrating. I’m still not sure if those sheets were clean. Lots of hairs on the sheets and I killed a bug in the sheets when I first pulled the covers. It was late when we got in and didn’t have time to find another place. I would not stay here again.

Works For Us!

If you are looking for a palace with lots of extras, this isn’t the place for you and yours. But, it was clean, had everything we needed, it was as-advertised, and the process was flawless. A commentary on previous reviews: The bathroom is tight and the shower head is not adjustable, so the tight shower was a little inconvenient. My wife is 5’ 4” and she said the shower head was inconvenient but worked for her (not getting sprayed in her face, etc). The bed was firm but comfortable. Don’t plan on cooking in the room, but you can go out to eat at The Halfway House or Crows Nest, for good food and service, which are 10-15 min away.

Toilet ridiculously short

Nice enough room, but toilet difficult to stand up from after use. Also be aware the bathroom sink is only sink in room and it was blocked by shelf above it. Shower head way to high. It wouldn't spray water on my 5' 3" body. Get an adjustable head. Price of room was outrageous for amenities of room.

We love this “mom and pop” motel near great hiking in the Olympics.

We have been staying here for the past 10 years. The new owners have made some subtle changes but it is basically still the same. Rooms are basic, but clean and the beds are comfortable. Air conditioning would be a good add on in the future especially for the elevated price point. I do wish that the full cost of the stay would be listed up front rather than adding multiple fees prior to payment…especially when those payments are about 3/4 of the entire bill. Hopefully we will not be priced out of this great property.

As far as room and location it was great. We had some super loud guests who came in at midnight and partied all night. Lots of rooms vacant. Why give them a room so close I don’t know. Not the places fault but walls very thin and it was a rough nights sleep.

The room was ok. The bed was really hard like you might find in a cheap room in the 90’s. The shower wasn’t adjustable and was hitting the wall. I didn’t get the door code and waited online a while to get it. I won’t stay there again

Quiet, Clean, Retreat

I enjoyed the well appointed room that had pretty much everything I needed and was pet friendly. The one critique, the shower head was too high and not adjustable, in the narrow shower stall I couldn't properly shower without a face full of water. Everything else was great, they even left a cute magnet as a gift for me and a reminder of my stay!

Quiet and Practical

Nice little place in the woods that’s right off of 101. The only two issues are the bed is a rock and the shower in the bathroom is made for a very tall person. It’s not adjustable and shot the water over my head! However, the place is clean, cozy, and very easy to get in and out of. It’s a great jumping off place to visit Sequim and Port Townsend.

Great place

The room was perfect, it had a fridge and microwave for my food. And they provided dish soap and a sponge! The only two downsides are the only sink is in the bathroom and the shower head was at an awkward angle and couldn’t be adjusted to my height. I would stay there again and recommend it.
