We specialize in larger properties great for groups or families: I prefer a property where you don't have to keep the grandchildren quiet or worry about disturbing the neighbors. I grew up with a large extended and blended family and my Aunt Sadie had a place we could go for family gatherings and milestones, where my dad was born and my grandmother had the first phone installed. Those feelings of comfort, familiarity, and a nostalgic longing for days past made us appreciate our memories and wish everyone could experience something like that so we started Legendary Getaways and Legendary Vacations. We treat everyone like family and want our guests to feel like this is also their place to bring friends and family every year and encourage this by favoring returning guests with discounts. We have been coming to Angel Fire for the beauty and scenery combined with year-round activities forever but it remains small and private with the convenience of larger cities nearby and without the prices of our neighboring Colorado resorts. Drivable from all surrounding states so you can bypass the airports if you desire, making it so much more affordable for the couple with 6 kids!
This family homestead is less than a mile from where scenes were filmed meant to depict the beauty of Montana in the world famous movie, Lonesome Dove. It seems remote without being so (has high speed fiberoptic!) and is fairly easy to drive to. The beauty of this property is truly magnificent and does remind me of Montana. When I am looking out of the windows of the great room with the views of Wheeler Peak in the background, I am reminded of scenes from the John Wayne movie Grit and I wouldn't be too surprised to see John Wayne or Glen Campbell come riding up to the fence! As a matter of fact, our location is perfect for privacy, we host many VIP's and are happy to sign a NDA for your peace of mind.

Rustic Mountain Log Cabin meets Spanish Hacienda, reflecting our local heritage. The moment you turn in the gate you know this is a special place! The sound of the wind whispering in the trees is probably what creates the great healing energy many people have mentioned. The Vintage ranch truck is great for photos!! This ranch has been home to special events for over 100 people, weddings, Holiday parties and social functions for the people of the area. There are spectacular views from every room at the back of the home, even the bathrooms. Sunrise is not to be missed, keep the camera ready as we encourage guests to send their photos of the beauty, wildlife, or of your group enjoying the property or the area and we will share on our websites and social media - starring YOU! The home and cabin are comfortable as well as beautiful with everything we usually need for our own family gatherings, including the Julio's chips from Texas and local New Mexico Pinion coffee if we can get them for you. The Saltillo tile is heated with radiant heating we also provide firewood for the old rock fireplace or the wood stoves and a few skewers for roasting marshmallows. Premium luxury mattresses and bedding make rest like sleeping on a cloud. A steam shower and hot tub with infrared heater, touchscreen game table for 6, stargazer or wildlife telescope are added for your enjoyment. The covered front porch is long and is a great place to sit and watch the elk down below the barn jumping over the rail fence, I check it especially at sunrise and sunset for animal activity. Ask about Concierge services for excursions or special outings, grocery delivery before arrival, meal delivery, rental SUV's, airport pickup, etc
