This cabin was a great choice! We brought our 4 kids and 2 dogs up to this cabin for an end of year getaway and it did not disappoint. Just enough amenities to feel at home yet still has the cozy cabin feel with great fire pits and fireplace and plenty of adventuring for the family to enjoy. Even got to see wild Turkeys eating the deer feed in the front of the cabin. Would gladly choose this place again to see what it’s like during the spring/summer. Arthur was welcoming and very responsive to all of our messages.

The cabin was perfect for my birthday weekend getaway, the smores were great! Nice and peaceful, I love that the community is protected with gate keepers. The 2 lakes are nice for kayaking, everything you need is within 10 miles. Arthur communicated with us throughout our stay, he made sure everything was good.

This is a sweet little cabin. Check in was easy and Arthur is very good at getting back with any questions. We had a good time here. The stream is perfect for children playing in. And it is close to the Illinois River.

Photos are deceiving, furniture very well worn and not in a good way. We are older and we’re looking for comfortable. We only sat on the front porch bench. I did have to sweep it up. It’s the little things. Make it inviting. We didn’t feel this was that place. The plus was that it welcomed dogs. Kitchen could use some new skillets and utensils. Less clutter and less nicnacs. I could go on but will keep it short. Location was very nice. Sad I just seemed a bit dumpy. I would not stay here again.
This is the way we found it. We never used this area. I came to vacation not clean. This is not what you see on their photos.
Shirt was there. On this chair and vomit by the front porch when we arrived to greet us.

Amazing stay

Our stay was absolutely amazing and very grateful for all the amenities and information binder. Property is surrounded buy the beauties of nature and my personal favorites the rivers it was magical and fun! Will definitely book again.

Weekend stay

This was a good, simple cabin that met the needs of our family (and dogs) for a weekend. The location is great, tucked away from the road, incredibly quiet and relaxing. The kitchen and appliances were functional. We appreciated having what we needed, but supplies like paper towels and basic cleaning items would have been helpful. The bathroom setup (only one and accessed through the primary bedroom) was a bit awkward, but it worked fine for our group. Overall the cabin was tidy and we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet weekend getaway.

Love the property and the house. Nicely stocked and clean. We have stayed in another of their properties and were very happy. Host is aways very communicative. Would definitely stay again.

This cozy cabin is tucked away in a forest oasis. It is clean and adorable. The fire pit in the backyard is private and inviting. You will not regret a stay here!

This cabin was an absolute haven for us

We were near the end of a long and arduous process of selling our home in TX and buying a new home in OK. We needed a place to stay for 2 weeks and thankfully found this cabin. The cabin itself is gorgeous and the surroundings so beautiful and peaceful. The stress melted away and our family was rejuvenated. Our pets absolutely loved the cabin too.Arthur kept in communication with us to make sure that we were doing well and had everything we needed. He even let us know when a tornado watch had been issued for the area (thankfully, no tornadoes spotted).Even though we now live close by, my husband and I have discussed coming back to the cabin again sometime, just because it’s such a haven.Oh, and the beds were very comfortable as well..

Great weekend getaway

The cabin was just described with lots of privacy. There were many extra special touches such as the hammock, sky saucer for the kids, grill, patio area, smores, commercial grade waffle maker, and corn to feed the deer. We did not actually see the deer but we heard them eating at night. One bathroom was awkward but we made it just fine. Lots of pillows and blankets for extra comfort. We would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Million Dreams

We absolutely loved the place! It was cute, clean and secluded. The property owner was very courteous, attentive to our needs and respectful of our privacy. It was amazing to watch deer eat in the front yard and the family loved going to the Natural Fall state park to see the waterfalls. Can’t wait to go back and try another of Arthur’s cabins. OK

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY WITH OUTSTANDING ACCOMMODATIONS. ME AND MY FAMILY ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE IMMENSELY. IT SEEMED EVERYTHING WE FORGOT WAS ALREADY THERE AND READY FOR USE SUCH AS: HOOKS AND BAIT, COFFEE, S'MORES, PROPANE, BABY GATE, FIRE STARTERS AND EVEN CORN TO BRING IN THE DEER. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STAY. THE CABIN WAS NICELY DECORATED IN EVERY AREA WITH SCRIPTURE AND POSITIVITY ❤️

Peaceful and relaxing

We wanted a weekend getaway so we could spend time together away from the hustle & bustle of life. The location was ideal for kayaking on the river and evenings spent together around the fire pit. Saw lots of deer in the yard and enjoyed the sounds of nature. House is clean and well furnished. Hosts communicated with us and offered to remedy any issues we may have had. Highly recommend this location!

THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN

Serene, peaceful and very much off the beaten path. Best lodging of our cross country trip! Arthur is just about the nicest guy you could ever hope to have as a host and we will definitely be back!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

It has a babbling brook on the property, feeding into a small creek, you can follow the creek and it spills into the Illinois River. Go the other direction and you can go to Clear lake, enjoy the serene lake, or go on a hike right up the hill behind the house... perfect for those outdoors. Its a Gated community, so access is limited to who comes in and leaves. It just a great place to go and relax!
