Hi, we're the Ayers Family from San Antonio, Texas. We both come from military families, but got to Texas as soon as we could! We are a fun loving party of 5 (7 if you include the pups) who love Jesus, our family, and making memories here at The Island Oasis. We're super blessed by this special place, and hope you will be too as you make memories of your own!

Oasis is simply defined as something serving as a refuge, relief, or pleasant change from what is usual, annoying, difficult; a small fertile or green area in a desert region, usually having a spring or well. This is our hope and prayer for you, that you can relax, refresh, and restore by the shore, here at The Island Oasis!

The place was very clean and well-stocked with anything we could have needed. The bed was very comfortable and the porch was a fun place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The hot tub was clean and nice and hot. We would definitely stay here if we make it back down that way.

We had an overall great experience with this stay. A couple of balls were dropped by the cleaning crew between the stay before ours and our arrival, but the host was very fast to respond and resolve the situation! Very friendly and accommodating. Besides some rough around the edges furniture in the apartment everything was super cute. the furniture was comfortable.(and beds) and kitchen had everything we needed. I would stay here again. The complex was also quiet and peaceful as was the pool the evenimg we went!

We loved staying at this pet and kid-friendly condo just off Whitecap Beach. The condo was clean and had toys and puzzles to keep us busy during breaks from the beach. We also enjoyed the pool. Overall quiet and peaceful stay for us. Thank you!

Loved all the extra kitchen supplies. Liked that there were spices and extra condiments. Very helpful. Learned that laundry detergent comes in a sheet. who knew! Thought they were dryer sheets. I bought some laundry pods. Loved the toys for my grandkids. Always fun to play with different toys. Pool was great and close to the condo. The only thing off was a couple of cockroaches in the second bedroom.

We had a great time! This property is nice and very welcoming! The beds are comfy with soft clean linens, the master bedroom & bath were the favorite. Both rooms are equipped with sound machines which were great for sleeping. They even share their beach equipment with their guests and provide beach towels. The hosts are great and communication was excellent. Overall, everything within the control of the hosts was excellent! The downside was the swimming pool. (Which is out of the host’s control.) It was murky and full of hair; obviously not cleaned regularly. The water spray stations on property weren’t working. In addition, the housekeeping staff didn’t do a great job in the kitchen. There were dishes in the dishwasher and a dirty dish in the cabinet. The unit smelled a little smokey when we entered, but the smell didn’t linger. There are many air fresheners throughout the unit.

Corpus Getaway

The place was nice. They thought about everything with kids and adults included. They had toys and beach supplies, the place was clean and nicely decorated. You could tell the owners care about their guests. The only downside was the cigarette smell emanating most of the day and night when the other unit guests or residents would smoke, the smell would come through the vents and was very unpleasant. I know it’s not anything the owners could control so I can’t be upset at them. Overall the place was nice. The pool was close by and so was white cap beach which was super nice.

The master retreat features an ensuite bath with walk-in shower, King bed, & walk-in closet. The guest suite also features an ensuite bath which can be closed off, Queen bed, & walk-in closet. Open & spacious living area with a queen sleeper sofa that opens to the kitchen & dining for ease of entertaining!
