This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home sits on 7.5 private acres and is pet friendly. Gorgeous floor to ceiling windows in the living room with propane fireplace allows viewing of the open meadow and various wildlife. Just out the back door are several private hiking trails that lead to the Sandy river. In the Winter time you can use the provided snowshoes to hike around the property or you can sled on the hill right out back.

Bring your favorite coffee or K-Cups and start your morning with a nice hot beverage outside in the outdoor living room with bar, mini fridge & firepit. You can also relax in the new hot tub. Deer frequent the property and the night sky is impressive.

If you would prefer to stay in; there is ping pong, shuffleboard, and corn hole in the garage. This home has a well appointed gourmet kitchen and features a wine cooler and large island.

The master suite downstairs offers a king size bed. The en-suite has a jacuzzi tub and large walk in shower. Upstairs features two bedrooms, open loft with TV watching area and full bath.

Come and enjoy the serenity of this secluded luxury home. This is a pet friendly home with a $60 fee per pet.

My wife and I had an incredible time at the Big Buck Lodge. The house is beautiful and the property it's on is gorgeous. The house was clean and stocked with most of the essentials. Being close to the Sandy river with pretty trails through the forest made the spot even better than we could have imagined. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. While I'm giving the house and our stay a five star review, here are the only things we didn’t like: - There was no foil, but there was parchment paper? - There was no olive oil, spray-oil, butter, or other common cooking staples - The plastic wrap was so cheap it melted in the microwave (possibly due to the issue I mention below) - The plates are cheap and are thick ceramic that heat to extreme temperatures in the microwave while your food remains luke-warm - The pans were small and in awful shape, and the knives were dull - There was no clear instruction for how to properly use the dishwasher or washing mashine, but the checkout instructions ask you to load and run both - The ping pong table needs to be replaced - Overall the house-specfic details and instructions were lacking in the guest book If we come back again, we'd bring more of our own essentials to have an absolutely perfect stay.

Everything was wonderful! What a lovely home. The house was clean, cozy, and perfect for our stay. We loved the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. The kitchen was well-equipped to cook meals. Our toddler loved the books and upstairs play space. We had an amazing time.

The place was beautiful and we would definitely stay there again. Only things keeping it from being 100% perfect were: the microwave doesn't work, the dryer is dying and extremely loud, all of the hand-soaps were empty with no refill soap available, the coffee maker had no filters that fit, there was no laundry soap and the soap for the dishwasher they left a note saying do not use, and there was no outdoor seating to enjoy the patio and view. I think all of those things were the responsibility of the rental facility and not the owners. When we reached out, they responded promptly and tried to help but misunderstood the needs of the house. All in all, it was still a spectacular place to stay, very clean, and we had a fabulous time! My family and I would like to thank the owners for sharing their home with us and for the memorable weekend!

Perfect Mountain House

We loved the views of the mountains through the big windows off the back of the house. And great outdoor spaces with a hot tub and outdoor fireplace overlooking a beautiful meadow with wildflowers and the sounds of a rushing river about 100 yards away. The location is perfect, feels very secluded but only about 5 minutes away from the small town and a few restaurants, etc. Also close to some great hiking and the drive further up Lolo pass road has amazing views. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!

We had the BEST time! We had age ranges from 45 to 5 years old and everybody loved every second. The kitchen was fully equipped for breakfast lunch and dinner. Oh wait there’s also an awesome covered outdoor fire place and a hot tub plus acres of exploring. We will be back 100% thank you!

The views of the wildflowers and foothills out the living room windows are wonderful. The house was clean and well stocked. You are close enough to restaurants and a store but far enough away to really feel like you are in the forest. Our dogs loved walking the trail and going down to the river. We would definitely stay again. Also, the management was fantastic.

Felt the Magic!

The home, property, and environs exceeded expectations. We met up from across the country for a mini-family reunion, and the stay checked every box we’d anticipated and some unexpected, magical ones as well. There’s nothing like witnessing spring unfolding in the Mt. Hood area, and this place helped us make lasting memories close the heart of each generation present. Thank you for the thoughtful details throughout and for letting us share this beautiful place!

Winter Wonderland

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Buck Lodge. This is the prefect place for a weekend getaway where you have plenty of space on a beautfiul property. The house was clean and the accomodations were nice making the weekend very enjoyable. I would recommend a stay here for a ski weekend or in the summer a place to get out and explore Mt. Hood which is right in your backyard.It seems like there is so much to do in this area and it is nice to have a lodge like this as your homebase surrounded by the mountains, nearby river and woods. Also, very quiet area so a great place to getaway and relax. We will definitely be heading back the next time we are looking for a long weekend stay in this area.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a beautiful setting! The view out the main windows and off the back deck are incredible! The hot tub was a great addition. There is also a hiking trail in the back yard that can lead you to the river within a short walking distance. There were a few cons: -the house was very dark with very dim light bulbs-it looked like the landscaping around the whole house hasn't been touched in a VERY long time. We had to knock down weeds to enjoy the back patio. -there are a few chairs under the covered, outdoor fireplace area but not any other furniture outside. That's where we wanted to be! -the ping pong table should be thrown away. It looks like someone landed on it

The kitchen is very well equipped. We didn’t want to leave!
