I've never had such an amazing experience than with this host. I wish I could give them a better rating. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfy and clean place to stay in Kingsport.

I would highly recommend The Wright Place for anyone staying in the Tri-Cities area. It is nice little place in a very quiet neighborhood. The rental was exceptionally clean and the hosts are very kind and easy to communicate with. It has all the amenities you need including a full kitchen and plenty of closet space.

Fantastic property close to everything in the Tri Cities! This truly felt like my home away from home. The hosts are so kind and welcoming! The bed was super comfortable and the couch downstairs is the best couch I’ve ever relaxed on. I highly recommend staying here - it’s close to everything. Great neighborhood - very safe. I traveled alone and felt comfortable the entire time. There are lots of deer, a few friendly local cats (outside), and the owners have adorable pups you’ll see when you walk by the main house. Great experience - thanks again!

If you’re coming to Kingsport, this is where you want to be. The host is a gem … Lynn and Doug made sure we had everything (and I mean everything) we possibly could have needed from fresh baked goods to toiletries and firewood for a bonfire. I could not recommend this rental more - you will be very happy with your decision, should you decide to stay here. 5 stars all around.

Couldn't ask for a cleaner place and more accommodating host. They were the top that we have ever had. The A/C was always perfect.The extra special effects placed in the cottage were beyond what we could of ever hoped for. Snacks, treats and even an unexpected meal all ready for us when we arrived. The personality of the Host were phenomenal.

Our stay at the Wright Place was amazing! I cant say enough about our stay! Doug and Lynn was so nice, accommodating, and very thoughtful! It was both my husband and my birthdays and they had us a birthday gift with a birthday card! Just unheard of anymore, especially when we have never met until our visit! Like i said, i cant say enough or better still, i could write a letter about how accommodating they were to us and it would take too long, so all i want to finish saying is....we met new friends and caring friends!

Weekend get away

When we arrived we were greeted by Lynn and her son. They help us carry our things to the house. The house was perfect. Lynn thought of everything. Water in the fridge and a bucket of snacks. This was our first VRBO rental and it will be very very hard to top the hospitality that we received. We will definitely stay there again when we visit the area. The location was great. Close to shopping and many restaurants. We chose the Wright location.

This is a cozy little house in a quiet neighborhood - actually in the owner's side yard. Ample room for a couple to enjoy. Lynn provided bottles of water, coffee and pastries. Plenty of towels and a comfortable bed. Kitchen fully furnished including microwave. There is not a dishwasher but who cooks when there's just two of you! We were there in July. The yard had plenty of shade. It was just what we needed for our trip.

Cute Little House and Nice Host

I enjoyed my stay at the Wright Place. I had communication with the host before arriving, and I told her my reasons for traveling (birthday related, not mine). When I arrived to check in, I was shown around the property and there was a present waiting on the counter! There was also a little bucket of snacks on the counter, pastries in a dish, and water bottles in the fridge! I thought that was very kind of her. The area was nice and quiet, which allowed me to catch up on some much needed sleep too. I did not take any pictures of the property or house, as I am more of a "live in the moment" type of person. It was cute though. I would recommend this property to others if they were visiting the area.

Unforgettable VRBO experience. Lynn went above & beyond at every turn. The neighborhood was beautiful, tree-lined and very quiet. Groceries, restaurants & anything else needed were just minutes away. We were warmly greeted when we arrived; we had a reserved parking spot in the driveway, and they even helped carry in our luggage... who does that?!?We were welcomed to a very clean cottage with chocolates on our pillows, snacks, breakfast treats & coffee pods in the kitchen, extra pantry items, cooking utensils and bathroom toiletries. The bed was comfy, and the A/Cs upstairs & downstairs kept us cool. They also provided distilled water for my CPAP. We were even treated to nighttime firefly shows in the yard!But those were only part of the Wright Place charm. Lynn and her family made us feel like we were part of theirs, all without being intrusive. Our first friends in TN are now lifelong friends. If you decide to stay at the Wright Place and aren’t completely satisfied… it’s probably you.

Weekend in Kingsport

We had a nice stay. It was a cute property. And the neighborhood was fine. We were close to everything we wanted to do. We were warned that the a/c wasn't quite up to the task to cooling the cabin and she had ordered a second unit. So, the 1st floor was kinda warm and we spent most of our time upstairs. All in all i recommend the host and the cottage. The hostess was kind and even helped us wuth our bags and offered to help us should we need it. Fortunately, we were mostly out and about in the area hiking and playing disc golf.

My family and I had a very enjoyable mini vacation. The cottage was clean & comfortable. The host, Lynn, met us when we arrived and kindly offered to help us get our things to the cottage. A lot of thoughtful touches… My daughters loved the breakfast items along with a basket of snacks, thick fluffy towels, toiletries in case something is forgotten, Hershey kisses left on the pillows and TV's upstairs and downstairs. She wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. It was a nice quiet place and we would definitely stay again.

Home Away from Home

I can't say enough about my recent trip to my hometown. I was visiting to see my youngest granddaughter graduate and to attend my 50-year high school reunion. And Lynn made it so special. Not only is the house completely adorable, Lynn and Doug are absolutely amazing! From the moment I pulled into the drive, I felt like I was being greeted by my family! Needless to say, by the time I left, I felt like family! Thank you, Lynn, Doug, Cayden, Dallas, Sheila, Blue, Baby, Pop!!!Love from Maryland!!!

Wright House

trip to visit friends

We came at night after a long day of activities. Lynn and her husband were welcoming and the guesthouse is clean, charming, and comfortable. You have everything you need in a peaceful neighborhood setting.

My husband and I moved here from Florida with our 7 year old son, Cayden in 2017. My husband is a retired police officer and my background is in customer service. Unfortunately I have some health issues but I wasn't willing to give up my love for serving others so we created "The Wright Place".
I love providing an experience for my guests and meeting new people and making new friends from all over.

The cottage is located in a wonderful area. It feels like you are up in the mountains but yet you are also close to stores and restaurants. The deer and wild turkeys visit us daily.
