Lakefront Cottage - Dog Friendly

This private lakefront home is the perfect retreat. The house is ready for you to enjoy with a fully stocked kitchen, all your linens, kayaks, and a great view. Just bring your food and personal items and start relaxing. We are dog friendly (with no pet fee!), but please let us know if you are bringing a special guest so we can make sure they are comfortable too. We are close to Elk, hiking trails, and of course right on the lake. Enjoy your getaway!

The Lake Association has Quiet Hours 6:00PM to 8:00 PM DAILY. No outside stereos or other unnecessary noise-producing equipment during this time.

Everything was wonderful, we had everything we needed and more. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway. Host was quick to respond with communication. The lake helped us slow down and just be present and enjoy the beautiful creation that was all around us. Go and see Buck Falls also which was minutes away. Highly recommend. It was our Perfect Anniversary weekend.

This was an amazing get-away location. My husband & I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet that came with staying on the lake, as well as the cuteness & cleanliness of the house itself. I honestly didn’t want to leave, lol…this was the perfect lake house. Thank you again for a great stay!

The layout of the house is wonderful and offers endless views of the lake from almost every area.The upper deck is a lovely bonus. The peace and tranquilty was much needed. The ducks were great to watch! House was clean. The host was easily reached and very helpful. We loved our experience. Payden, dog, and I would definitely recommend

Had a nice and quiet visit. Such a beautiful view of lake. Right in front of me.. 10 yards away.. a bald eagle swooped down to snatch a fish. It was unsuccessful.. as I was while attempting to fish. Awesome to see..

Beautiful

The place was amazing. It was a little difficult to find at first. I didnt see any address numbers on the outside of the cottage. The view was amazing, the actual cottage was stunning, clean, and looked even better in person than in the photos.

Short Break

Ideal property for what we wanted in a short stay to unwind. Ellen supplied a care package for our two dogs which was lovely. The property had everything we needed and checking in was very easy. The only minor thing would be that the dishwasher could probably do with being replaced or given a thorough clean but as I said very minor on an overall great property and accommodating host.

Beautiful setting, wonderful getaway

Can’t wait to return to this lovely, well-appointed and super clean cottage beside a beautiful lake. Had a perfect, peaceful getaway. Host promptly answered all our questions. Welcome basket for our pup was a hit, too!

Birthday Getaway

Ellen's place was a dream! It was exactly what my boyfriend and I was looking for. The house came very well equipped with everything needed to enjoy your stay. The neighbors were very nice and helpful when needed. We will definitely be back for our next escape from the city life!

Birthday Ski Trip

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! Ellen was very communicative and is a short drive to Elk Ski Resort. Perfect size for a family of 5 and the views were amazing!

Wonderful getaway from daily life

Property truly is a place to enjoy the lake life. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive for kayaking, but all equipment was available. We were still able to enjoy walks and fall foliage. Would recommend including bottled water on your packing list.

Disconnect from the rest of the world

This house is a hidden gem. The view is magical. Very quiet and peaceful. We spent hours sitting on the porch and watching birds and nature. We also walked a lot from the cottage into different directions on the roads in the community. There are a few waterfalls within 20 and 40 minutes of driving. Ellen is an amazing host. She quick to respond and has excellent communication skills. She makes you feel welcome and makes sure that you have a pleasant stay. We had a wonderful time during our 10 day stay. Too sad we had to go back. And we are excited to come back again!

Awesome vacation home

Ellen and Woody's home is extremely comfortable and welcoming. It was appointed with all the amenities needed for our mini vacation. The lake is pristine, and the neighbors are extremely friendly. This is an excellent spot to get away from it all!

Haven for peace and tranquility

Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place us. We were there in April where not too many places on the lake seemed occupied at the time and it was silent in the evenings. Owners were very easy to work with. Will definitely be back!

On the beaten path

My husband and I came for our anniversary. We had an amazing time. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. The view covered in snow was breathe taking. You definitely need a four wheel drive vehicle going down to the house or a suv in the colder months. Snow covered roads could be hard to pass by. It is super remote, which was nice to see the deer walking in the woods and the birds chirping. The owner had great communication. Would recommend of your looking to get away from everyday busy life and enjoy “lake” life. I will be booking a future stay with my family. Thank you!

Perfect reprieve from the city

We cannot say enough good things about our snowy weekend at the lake. We had everything we needed and our questions were handled promptly. The air was clean, the cabin was clean and the outside was clean. Our children stayed outside in subzero temperatures and stayed off their phones. The neighbors treated us like we lived there for years. They even let us "borrow" some milk for morning coffee. We all can't wait to go back in spring.
