Inside the Space Once owned by Eddie Bauer, our local sporting wear/gear legend, this cabin is like a snapshot in time — retro in its look and warm in its family feel. The main house offers an open floor plan for up to 6 guests with two bedrooms, one bath, a fully stocked kitchen, cozy living and dining rooms, and a washer & dryer.
The “Flop House” features two twin beds, a kitchenette, and a half bath located in the nearby laundry room. To make your stay easy, we provide all the basics: linens, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, oil for cooking, salt & pepper, tea, coffee, and creamer. Starlink internet is also available.
Outside the Space Guests have access to the large yard, beach, creek, fire pit, the “Flop House,” and the laundry room.
Please note: Beach access here is truly natural — to reach the water you must climb down rocks. There are no steps, stairs, or handrails, so it may not be suitable for young children, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility challenges. For adventurous guests, the reward is pristine shoreline and sweeping views.
Why This Location? This home is one of a kind — you won’t find another with this kind of access to nature, history, and location. No matter the season, you’ll be soaking up all this property has to offer. Located just 10 minutes from Neah Bay and about 25 minutes from Sekiu/Clallam Bay, it’s a remote and peaceful getaway.
Guest Support We’re available 24/7 by phone or message. This home offers self check-in, and all property and guest guidebook info is available on the Airbnb app.

-Important: All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable payment processing fee. For VRBO bookings, this is listed as an “administrative fee” and is calculated at 5.5% of the base rate to reflect the payment processing and integration costs incurred on the full reservation amount, including cleaning and tax charges. Direct bookings (website): 4% fee. This fee covers third-party processing costs and is not retained by us. Thank you for understanding! - Maximum number of guests not to exceed 8.
-No pets without prior written approval and payment of pet fee.
-Only use fire pit if you have adequate experience and know how to operate safely. Use of the fireplace, fire pit, is at your own risk and with the understanding that you are responsible for any damage caused by your use of the same. Please do not introduce unapproved items in the woodstove – just firewood, kindling, matches, fire starters, Duraflame Logs, and this goes for the fire pit as well.
-Local fire-ban ordinances must be observed with regards to the outside fire pit. Care must be taken to keep fires under control and to a reasonable size.
-This house uses a septic system; ONLY toilet paper can be flushed.
-Because we keep our home sparkly clean for you, we kindly ask that you lend a helping hand. Clean any dishes used, put dirty laundry in hamper, you know the basic stuff... It helps keep the cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
-We`re keeping the floors clean for our guests, please no shoes in house.
-Accidents happen, when they do please notify us as soon as possible. This is the best way to ensure the return of your security deposit.
-No illegal drugs allowed.
-Please be respectful of our neighbors. You`d be surprised how sound travels through the neighborhood, please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am.
-Please help mother earth. Turn lights and accessories off; heat at 65 degrees when not in use.
-No smoking of anything allowed indoors, smoke it outside please.
-We are honored you decided to choose, however if your goal is to throw a party this is not the destination for you. Any such behavior will result in immediate removal from the property.
-Want to stay an extra hour or so? Should be fine but requires approval, let us know in advance.
-Please stay out of the attic, crawlspace, shop and storage areas. These areas are dangerous and not designed for guests.
-PARKING – Parking is limited to 2 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked on the driveway only. Any illegally parked cars in the community are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
-Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the cabin.
-Storm: No refunds will be given in the event that a storm or severe weather conditions limits your accessibility to our cabin or causes a power outage. We recommend all-wheel drive/four-wheel drive and/or chains during snowstorms. We do not refund due to road conditions; however, we will assess this case by case and are willing to compensate accordingly to make it fair for both parties.
- Check-out: Guests will be charged an extra $25 for late check out; check out time is 11:00am unless otherwise talked about with the host. The charge is $25 per 30 minute increment. Thank you for being respectful of the hosts and cleaners time.
-Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the home.
-We do not permit supplies, furniture, decorative items, appliances, and other furnishings to be removed from the home. Please leave the home as you found it.
-Please do not play with or tamper with the decorations on walls or shelfs. These are for guests to enjoy, not for play.
-Violations of these rules can result in additional fees or immediate cancelation of your reservation and removal from the property without refund.
- PERSONAL ITEMS: Please check the home for any of your personal items left behind. It is extra work for our cleaners to gather the items, take them to the post office and ship them. For any items left behind we are happy to mail them out however there will be a $50 charge to pay for our time.
-No glass or utensils should travel down to the beach. For your safety, orange plastic glasses are provided for beach use.
- Beach treasures are always fun to find but please do not rinse them off in any of the sinks on the property. Please use the outdoor hose to do so.
- This house does not have drinking water. Please only use running water for bathing, brushing teeth, washing dishes and clothes. We have filtered water for guest use.
- While we are excited to have you fishing our local waters, we do not permit any fish cleaning on the property. Please clean fish at boat launch or marina. If fish have been cleaned on property there will be a charge of $200 or more for cleaning.
License to Occupy Only; No Landlord-Tenant Relationship. Guest acknowledges and agrees that this Agreement creates a revocable license to occupy the Property for transient lodging purposes only. This Agreement is not a lease, does not convey any real-property interest, and does not create a landlord-tenant relationship under any state or local law.
Primary Guest Responsible for All Occupants. The individual who books the reservation (“Primary Guest”) hereby accepts full legal and financial responsibility for (a) themselves, (b) all other guests, occupants, invitees, visitors, or persons allowed onto the Property (“Additional Guests”), regardless of whether such persons have signed this Agreement. Primary Guest represents and warrants that all Additional Guests shall comply with all rules, policies, and terms of this Agreement. Any breach of this Agreement by an Additional Guest shall be deemed a breach by the Primary Guest.
Indemnification and Hold Harmless. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Primary Guest and all Additional Guests shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Owner, Property Manager, and their respective members, officers, employees, agents, and contractors (“Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, attorney fees, or costs arising out of or related to: (a) Guest’s or any Additional Guest’s use or occupancy of the Property; (b) violations of this Agreement or House Rules; (c) personal injury, death, or property damage occurring on or about the Property; (d) actions or omissions of Additional Guests, invitees, or third parties allowed onto the Property. This indemnity applies even if only the Primary Guest executes this Agreement.
Responsibility for Unauthorized Guests. Primary Guest is responsible for ensuring that no person enters or occupies the Property unless disclosed to Owner or Property Manager. Primary Guest shall be liable for the conduct, damages, and violations caused by any unauthorized guest, whether known to Primary Guest or not.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful—right on the beach with stunning views. We loved all the fine details throughout the house, especially how much of it feels original and the great vintage photos of Eddie Bauer on the walls. The secluded beach access made it feel private and peaceful, and the fireplace with pre-chopped wood was perfect for cozy evenings.We even spotted a bald eagle perched on a rock and found lots of neat treasures along the beach—it was truly magical. One of our favorite touches was the VCR and DVD player stocked with old movies—it made us feel like kids again, reliving those nostalgic moments from our childhood.The host was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. This was the perfect family getaway—exactly what we needed. Would recommend 10 out of 10 times to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Great place to enjoy the beach
We stayed for two nights and wished we had booked longer. The house is cozy but more space than we had anticipated especially with the “flop” house. The vintage stove was so cool the kids were amazed. We loved the proximity to the beach with lots of great beach combing.

The property is a quintessential 1930s sportsman's cabin right on the ocean. It may be old but it has been immaculately cared for, preserved and cleaned. Looking forward to another stay.

Waterfront time capsule
Wonderful stay at Eddie Bauer's former cottage, a wonderfully preserved waterfront gem along the Strait de Juan de Fuca. Perfect home base for all things Neah Bay/NW Olympic Peninsula. Very comfortable home with a well equipped kitchen, complete with a vintage pullout electric stove. Lovingly maintained with lovely artwork created by Mrs. Bauer. Quiet remote location, though some road noise from Rte 112. Limited options for eating out in the area, but found some fantastic salmon chowder at Calvin's Crabhouse and a well stocked grocery store at Washburn's in Neah Bay. All in all a wonderful time!

Even cloudy and raining this is a nice spot. When the skies clear, it is a spectacular spot!
Clean, comfortable house with one of the most amazing locations of any VRBO we have ever used. Nice beach with a view across the straight to Vancouver Island mountains on a clear day. Living space is ideally designed to enjoy the view. Many highlights but we particularly enjoyed watching the eagles steal the seagulls’ food scraps. Come prepared with groceries. Come prepared with earplugs or white noise. The bedrooms are literally fifty feet away from the highway and there was traffic noise all night.
