The two-bedroom, one-bath residence sleeps four comfortably and is situated on a quiet road off Palace Ave. Remodeled to preserve its historic charm, the home features exposed vigas, a wood-burning fireplace, and a west-facing patio with sunset views. French doors lead from the living room to either a relaxing study/TV room or the outdoor patio, where you can enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Choose between alfresco dining on the southwest-facing view terrace or in-home dining in the cozy French country kitchen. The house was a perfect place to enjoy vacation. The location was walking distance to many places. It was great for our dogs. The backyard was secure, so they could enjoy some time outside. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Great stay.

The communication with the owner was great and the house is in a good location for exploring Santa Fe. The perfect accommodation for two people and a small dog.

Wonderful stay! Perfect location for us.

We loved walking around Santa Fe. So this was the perfect location for us, convenient to the Plaza and Canyon Road. Our doggies were welcome and had a blast. Our host was great and interested in how to make our stay better. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable, quiet and close to the Plaza

This was a GREAT place to stay. Clean, functional, with a great fenced in courtyard we enjoyed every day. Quiet, yet an easy walk to the Plaza and Canyon Road with great restaurants and galleries. The owner lives next door and is super friendly, helpful and accessible for any advice or needs. He truly wants you to enjoy your stay! Thank you,

Cozy Christmas

We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas holiday in Santa Fe. The home is very quiet, cozy and well appointed. Canyon Road and the Plaza are both within easy walking distance to access great shopping and delectable dinners. Monica and Daren are gracious hosts and happy to answer any questions or provide restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend this charming place - especially for a holiday break.

Perfect house!

We loved our time in Daren and Monica’s home! This house has so much charm and was really comfortable for our family with 2 pups. The backyard is beautiful and a great place for the dogs to run around. The rooms were beautifully decorated and great for family movie night, reading, cooking, and anything else we wanted to do during our stay. Daren and Monica were really responsive and helpful when we had some questions. Will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location, beautiful design

The pictures of this house doesn't do it justice. It's really well appointed and perfect for a couple or small family. The location is quiet and tucked away, but you're also within walking distance of downtown and canyon rd. We barely used our car the entire time we were here. Daren was helpful and friendly and the checkin/check out process was smooth. This is a rental we'll definitely choose again.

This is such a special casita. Its light and peaceful and quiet and comfortable. Darin and Monica are the most gracious hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had anything we needed. The property is provisioned with things that make a vacation perfect. We sang its praises to friends we visited and hosted some in the week we were there. All blown away. You may think I am overblowing this review but Im not. Its that perfect!

Beautiful house in historic district

This beautiful house in Santa Fe is highly recommended. The location is perfect: walking distance to the historic district, restaurants, and especially that the house is situated up a small road that allows privacy, a quiet space, and an open view of the sky to enjoy the stars at night. The house is part of the historic district, has been beautifully renovated, and is comfy and perfectly maintained. The communication with Daren and Monica was great. Before our arrival they promptly answered all of our questions, and upon our arrival Daren welcomed us into the home and provided more info on the house, Santa Fe, and great hikes to do in the area. A very enjoyable stay!

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and great location

We were so happy staying in this house at this location that we will stay there again if we return to Santa Fe. Everything was easy and the owners communicated everything we needed to know before we got there. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how cute, clean and private this location is. The back is fenced in for dogs and the house is provided with furniture covers for dogs and a kennel if needed. The kitchen is clean and well-stocked with pots, pans and dishes. The property is close enought to the historic downtown that walking is easier that driving and parking. And the owners! Great people who really care about everything being just right. If you are on the fence about this property; just book it!

Everything was perfect!

I picked this place for the location and because of the online pics and it did not disappoint. The interior was great, just like the pics . There were many interesting decorative pieces and great books to read. It was a very cozy home. The home manual was full of good info on restaurants and hikes - all that I tried of both were fab. Importantly, the house is more fully outfitted than most VRBOs I’ve been to (spices in the kitchen, various tools in the drawer) which I really appreciated. The location in old town allows you to walk virtually everywhere. It’s very safe and scenic. The hosts live next-door, and they were fantastic, very friendly and helpful while also giving me privacy. I would definitely go back.

Worth the little extra $

We almost waited a little too long to find a property to stay in SF. We bought a house in Santa Fe and took ownership in late January but we had to wait for the furniture to arrive. Lucky for us Daren and Monica's listing was available. After weeks of packing and traveling, we got to spend two quiet weeks in the lovely Eastside property. The home was cozy, comforatable and well equipped. It had everything we needed to nest and rest. Daren greeted us warmly and was so accommodating and helpful with our needs. Perfect location and we were able to walk into town and to our new home a few blocks away. Worth every penny. Thank for the SF hospitality!

Perfect Sanat Fe Experience

First, Monica made early contact to ensure we had proper directions and entry information, a blessing when you are on the road and travel-blitzed. Second, our entry into the property could not have been easier. Darren was there to greet us, the house had been opened, and the heat was already on! The house has been lovingly restored in a historic district adjacent to downtown so very walkable but with none of the noise of in-town. We visit Santa Fe yearly and usually for a month, so we get to know our lodgings really well. This house is an absolutely priceless piece of the REAL Santa Fe with modern convienes artfully worked in. The house is full of contemporary art by local artists as a bonus. AND we brought our two small dogs who made themselves at home in the sun in the walled garden. We spent many days enjoying the beautifully landscaped yard, despite the chill factor. This was my most favorite Santa Fe house rental for the last five years of visiting this jewel of a city. We are eagerly planning our next opportunity to stay in this perfect piece of southwest history.

Special home on a hill

I cannot speak highly enough about my stay here at Monica’s home. The house gets beautiful afternoon and evening light. Coming home here every night was so pleasant for me - it is both cozy and fresh. It has a nice desk for working from home and a great big kitchen table where I enjoyed having meals. Monica and Darren were incredibly responsive and kind and made sure I had everything I needed. I would be so lucky to stay here again!
