SandyCabins Duplex Beach House - Garden Side Cabin

This knotty pine duplex cabin is situated among young fruit trees with a private barking sand beach on the beautiful Lake Huron. With a fire pit, a bountiful garden and lots of sand, this charming cabin is the perfect place for a large family holiday or a group trip to the beach.
Our cabin faces the garden, but it is just a few steps around the back for direct access to our private beach which you’ll share with the guests in the Lake Side Cabin. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of sand for everyone!
A charcoal grill awaits your brats or steaks or whatever was on sale at Walt’s Meat Market across the street.

This can be a quiet romantic getaway for long walks on the beach, or an exciting family splash fest with fire roasted hot dogs and scorched marshmallows. We ask our guests to leave the cabin as they found it.

Super cute little cabin right on the water. My husband and I took our two little kids and spent a last minute weekend here. It was a great place for a quiet reset and time away as family!

Excellent! The beach is quiet and perfect. Close to Caseville and Port Austin downtowns. Second stay this summer, nothing not to love about the cottage!! Will be back.

Birthday/4th of July

We stayed from the 3rd to the 4th of July, the house was very clean and super cool. Paul was amazing answered all my questions right away. We loved it and had a great stay. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Gorgeous location!

We loved this cabin. It was renovated on the inside and clean. The downstairs stayed nice and cool though the upstairs got a little hot on the day temps were in the 90s. We would definitely stay here again. It is right behind the dune on a sandy beach with great water for swimming, paddle boarding, etc. It is located along a shallow section of Lake Huron so the water was much warmer than we expected (we were there in June). We were close enough to Caseville and Port Austin to go get lunch, ice cream, or groceries whenever we felt like it. The hosts were easy to communicate with and there is a washer/dryer on the ground floor.

Fantastic! Attentive Owner. Perfect Location.

Loved my stay. I ended up traveling alone with my Dog and it was a great experience. The beach is right in front; note you can walk this beach for miles. As a hiker, there are so many local trails that are glorious. The microwave was not working (no biggie) and was delivered a new microwave the next morning. Wow!!!! Not expected. It’s so cozy here; real up North feel which is so nice. Side note, there is a store across the street, Walt’s. You can walk. Loved it! Going back for Cheeseburger and cannot wait.

We had a great weekend at Sandy cabins!

We loved staying at Sandy Cabins. The cabin was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was as advertised. Our fur babies loved the sand and water and the lake front location was perfect. We think this might be our new yearly weekend get-a-way with our boys!

Wonderful stay and good location.

We stayed in mid-May and it was chilly, so the beach was not used at all. The home is cute, clean and beds were very comfortable. Great location to go between Port Austin and Caseville. Lots of outdoor chairs and grill available.

Late August 2024 Stay

Great location and beach. Very nice and clean accomodations. Three things keep me from giving this an outstanding rating. Wasn't thrilled with shower. Being six foot tall and a senior, didn't like having to climb into the tub and then dealing with a shorter shower head. Had to rotate the couch so that we could both face the tv tucked up in a corner. And the WiFi was painfully slow. But let me close by emphasizing that the beach and housing were otherwise outstanding!

Perfect Lake Front Getaway!

Very nice pet-friendly cabin

The cabin was very clean and roomy. Parking was a little tight for multiple vehicles, but the property felt nicely secluded. The hosts also provided plenty of thoughtful extras. Would definitely recommend.

Family Fourth Adventure

This was a lovely home that was perfect for our extended family. We rented both the garden and beach sides. I would highly recommend this property, very well-stocked pet friendly for an additional fee and the most amazing beachfront. The neighbors did a great 4th of July display for an added bonus.
