This 3 bed, 3 bath getaway offers a place to retreat from the city, heat, or to be close to the tallest peaks in Colorado. Sit and unwind on the front porch, cozy up near the fire pit, relax in the hot tub, or use this as the launching pad for all of your mountain adventures. 25 minutes to Copper, 45 minutes to Vail, and 15 minutes to Ski Cooper. This cabin offers a master bed & bath on the main level, 2 bedrooms & a bath upstairs, and a basement game room. STR LIC #2025-014

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay- great location for getting to downtown and all things outdoors. Hot tub was a treat for achy muscles at the end of the day. Beautiful view off the front porch- would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house with a great view

Such a wonderful place to stay! The view of Mt Elbert off the front porch was amazing and made a great place to read. The house was just as advertised, except the kitchen was really well stocked. We cooked almost every night, and with the grocery store just down the street we saved a lot of money. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was a perfect way to sooth sore muscles. Thanks for a great week!

House was exactly as described and the location was nice and quiet! Home had everything you could possibly need for you stay. Carolyn was very prompt in responding to all communication. Definitely recommend staying here!

Though it is a small house, the Matchless Mountain Lodge is a charging place to stay while in Leadville. It has all the conveniences you'd want and was very clean. The owners seem to have thought of everything you'd want/need while there such as the grill tools placed by the patio door, extra towels for and towel hooks by the hot tub, and an empty garage to use (seems like so many other rental garages are full of junk).The owners were very easy and quick to communicate with. While maybe insignificant for some, we did appreciate the complimentary chips and salsa after a long day of biking! WIFI/internet could be a little slow at times. So it may not be the best place if you need a fast & consistent connection (like working from home). Overall, 5 stars and appreciate getting what was described, a well furnished and clean rental.

Fantastic location, quiet neighborhood

Our family stayed at Matchless for a quick ski trip to Cooper. Location is perfect and easy access to ski (15 minutes) There is a Safeway right around the corner as well as an Ace Hardware and Gas Station. Restaurants are 5 minutes away. Carolyn was responsive and communications were very easy. House is well stocked with everything, linens plentiful and very clean. We will be back :)

Great Fall Weekend in Leadville

Spent the weekend at Matchless Mountain with friends for a bike race. Location is quiet and peaceful. Nice, big cabin with great hot tub. Kitchen is well stocked. The kids were also happy and entertained with the toys/books. Owner is responsive and kind. Look forward to coming back in 2024!

Amazing property

We loved our time at Matchless Mountain Lodge! It fit our family perfectly, had plenty of towels, and a well stocked kitchen. It is just a couple minutes away from a grocery store, and just a few minutes more from the downtown area with all the gift shops. Carolyn was super helpful when we had a few questions and there were little extra touches throughout the house that made the stay special. My kids loved all the games, books, and toys! But the best thing for us was the amazing view of Mt. Elbert right out the front window. I could sit on the couch, or on the front porch, and stare at that view for hours. If we ever make it back to Leadville we want to stay here again!

Delightful stay, truly a home away from home

This property exceeded expectations in terms on comfort, space, amenities, and lovely little extras. It was perfect for our group of 5 adults. The check-in process was a breeze. Communication was prompt and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic. I would rebook for another stay in a heartbeat.

Great home, great location, great hosts!

We have stayed in a few places in Leadville and Carolyn's place was as nice as any. Her house was clean, well-stocked with amenities & spacious for the 7 us (4 adults, 3 teens.) The only recommendation we have is to add an extra ice tray. ;) Thank you so much, Carolyn, for your awesome hospitality & communication. We hope to return.

Great for family reunion getaway

The home was great for a group. We had plenty of beds and linens. Lots of towels, even plenty of hot tub towels. There was lots of space to spread out or come together in the common space. The nice open concept kitchen was well stocked with lots of extras, even a water filter. We were able to cook a ham in the oven. The hot tub was really nice. The home is nicely decorated and homey. Lots of blankets, games, couches and chairs. It was the perfect spot for celebrating a special occasion with family.

Amazing Thanksgiving Getaway

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at Carolyn's place. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking our Thanksgiving meal and Carolyn was very helpful when it came to questions we had! And of course the back yard and hot tub were a hit!
