Home with Garden Patio near downtown Durango - 30+ Stay

***Minimum 30 night stay required***

Our single level home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is just 1.5 miles from the historic downtown Durango and and 24 miles (25 minutes) from Purgatory Ski Resort.

Note the home is the bottom floor of a 3 story home with its own separate entrance. The owners live on the 2nd floor and have their own completely separate entrance. There is plenty of off street parking right in front of the entrance. The home is located in one of the iconic neighborhoods near historic downtown Durango and has all of the expected amenities of a short term rental including washer/dryer, fast WIFI, fully stocked kitchen, BBQ Grill, outdoor seating area etc.

Our home is NOT pet friendly due to severe allergies. This includes service animals in accordance with ADA standards and compliance restrictions related to severe allergies.

While the home does not have AC, it stays plenty cool since its on the ground/bottom floor (similar to a basement staying cooler then the upstairs of a home).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

This 3 bedroom apt is under the main house. It has lots of space in the garden room and living room and a pretty patio with a table where we enjoyed dinners outside. However, just know that you will hear footsteps from upstairs and sometimes the TV.

Perfect for our family. House/kitchen is stocked with everything needed. We cooked meals for 10 days. Kept our bikes in the sunroom. Hit the trailhead for hikes just blocks out the front door. Easy access to Animas River trail and downtown. Very comfortable and spacious living areas. We were there in fairly high July temps and the "no a/c" was not a problem. The house was renovated by current owners, so every aspect of home is high quality. Above all - we met the home owners and they are a most delightful couple.

Lovely Durango Vacation Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Vacationed with 4 girl friends on our annual get together. This basement garden apartment was perfect for the 5 of us - spacious kitchen, living room and bedrooms, with two single beds, a queen and a king (which easily slept 2). Two full baths were a must, which this rental has. The unit was bright (windows in every room), immaculate and included everything you’d want for a carefree stay, including a full laundry. One of our favorite rooms was an enclosed patio room, where we’d gather each morning for coffee and “wake up” time. The hosts live upstairs and were so nice. The grounds were beautiful, too. As with any house, it’s about “location, location, location” and this rental is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood, across the Animus River from downtown Durango - a 5 min. drive away. We loved Durango, the Silverton train trip, a tour of Mesa Verde Nat’l Park and the Durango spa and hot springs. All around, a fabulous trip!

Great, Clean, Basement with Private Entrance

The house was very clean and spacious, with three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms, which worked perfectly for our group. The full kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and the living area — they definitely helped keep things comfortable.The location was great — just a short drive to downtown Durango. We had a rental car, which made it easy to get around and explore the area.A couple of small drawbacks: the fridge didn’t have an ice maker or water dispenser, and the house doesn’t have air conditioning. It was a bit warm while we were up and moving around during the day, but it cooled down at night.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again — especially in the early spring or early fall when the weather’s a bit cooler!If I could change anything, it would be an earlier than 4pm check-in and at least an hour later than 10AM check out.

Extra feminine hygiene products, nice coffee mugs, name brand shampoo and conditioner etc. The checking in and out process was a breeze. The location was perfect for our needs. We were visiting family but we had some folks who worked remotely and needed quiet for meetings etc. There was plenty of areas for everyone to do what they needed. We loved being so close to downtown and walking distance to some restaurants. I would say the only tiny downside was hearing the creaking floors in the early morning from the tenants upstairs. I don't think we kept the same schedule. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat... But maybe I would choose the upstairs property.

Great stay!

We had a very nice stay here for a wedding in town. We had an issue with the keys during one instance and the homeowner and rental service were quick to remedy the issue. Would rent here again!

Durango Excursion

Property was excellent--roomy and clean. The only issue was the steps to the outdoor patio area. They were very unstable and I actually realigned to make them a bit more stable. Initially it was less hazardous to simply walk around the steps. The owner needs to secure them for the perfect stay.

Lovely, quiet getaway

Loved staying here. Lots of nice touches like oatmeal, snacks and brochures from local attractions. Super comfortable furniture and beds. Very spacious. It was quiet too! More quiet than my own home. As a sensitive sleeper, I appreciated that. We were there during the hottest days of the year but did not have any problems due to the lack of AC. It felt cool the whole stay.
