This updated home sits on an acre of land just over the bridge from Amelia Island on Piney Island- a wonderful escape for the entire family! In this lovely spot, you'll be less than eight miles from downtown Fernandina and the ocean beach.

Inside, you'll find beautiful cabinetry, tile floors with a wood finish, and an expansive kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Enjoy free high-speed WiFi, TVs in the living room and primary bedroom, a private washer/dryer, and a screened porch just off the dining room that's perfect for entertaining.

This home is about a 5 - 10 minute drive to downtown Fernandina or to the beach.

Home well appointed with everything you need. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. plenty of towels and linens plus washer and dryer for long stays. Ideal location between Yulee and Amelia Island. Host was very accommodating for any requests.

This is mid February and all of the Christmas decorations were still up. The yard was a mess but someone finally came and cleaned it up after a week. It’s in a nice area to walk and it’s pretty quiet. Convenient to Yulee and Amelia Island. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Needs better attention to dusting (lamps, shelves, etc) but overall but pretty clean. Kitchen well appointed. Bed pillow selection not great, very flat and not very comfortable, could be replaced. Water pressure is poor. But property is comfortable and convenient.

Piney Island Perfection!

This rental was just perfect from start to finish! The manager Marci was welcoming and very helpful. The home was spotless and had no odors. The home had everything we needed for a nice vacay stay!! Love this home!! Pictures matched actual home.

Everything worked as expected and any questions we had were promptly answered. While not on the island, we were only a stone's throw from the bridge and minutes to the beach and downtown. Very nice for most of the trip

We enjoyed the peace and quiet until the last 10 days of our trip. The people behind us began renovating their house and the was a lot of noise and traffic. The worst thing to was a Generac generator they ran for 24 hours a day. So it was very loud when we wanted to sit on the back porch and it was very loud at night! After 3 days of that, we decided to come home as it was very unpleasant! So we basically missed a week of our vacation, which was unfortunate!

The kitchen was well equipped and easy to maneuver in. The little puck lights under the cabinets were all out of power - making it a bit dark, but that’s an easy fix. We had to shift a few platters and housewares around to make space for our groceries. It was very nice to have some spices and kitchen staples available to use. Thank you! Comfy beds and living room furniture. Very quick access to Amelia Island. Plenty of towels and beach items available. Appreciated the washer and dryer. Would recommend.

Peaceful Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Piney Island Retreat is a lovely, very well appointed home. We stayed here for a month while waiting to move into our new home after relocating from New York and were very happy with everything. We have 2 cats so the pet policy was perfect for us. The house is beautifully decorated with a seaside theme and has everything you would need for a medium to long term stay. Beach chairs, blankets and bicycles are also included for use which was great as the beaches of Amelia Island are a short trip away. The property is in a very peaceful, wooded location so relaxing in the screened porch or back yard is lovely. The only downside is getting back onto the main road during peak times - traffic to from the bridge is very heavy.Overall, somewhere I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a getaway in this area.
