Stayed here for a week after Thanksgiving. While the weather wasn’t great this beach house was. Very well fixed up, comfortable bed, well stocked with everything you might need, nice electric fireplace with heat, great unobstructed views, and close to the beach. Owner was amazing and responsive very interested in ensuring you have a great stay. Looking forward to staying here again.

This house is in a great location right on the beach. It was recently remodeled and was clean and bright. It was very comfortable for our extended family of eight. This was our third time in this house and we will probably book again next year.

We loved the beach house. It was beautiful and the beach at Jamaica Beach is very pretty. We could tell the house had been recently updated. The layout was perfect and every detail was well thought out right down to the box fans found in each closet.

This was our second visit to this property. Visited this past May. Spring and Fall experience. Both wonderful!The house is set up perfectly with the split house plan for us and our son and daughter-in-law. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Lots of beach and deck time. West End Marina restaurant is a three minute drive and provides good food and fun. Bryan is an excellent host and responds quickly to any questions. The only thing I would change on this house is I wish it had steps from the deck. Looking forward to returning next Spring.

This is a lovely beach house. We've rented several in Galveston and this was, by far, the best. It is very clean, well stocked and front row! You couldn't ask for anything more.

My daughter and her husband & my sister and her husband & me stayed. I suffered a fall the Sunday before we left and was on a walker. Your home was easy for me to move around in & view the ocean from my room. We hope to be able to book again.

Outstanding beach house! You can enjoy the view from the covered porch or take the one minute walk to get your toes in the sand. The house has everything you need and more. Our host Bryan provided excellent communication throughout the process. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we needed. Amazing views of the ocean from the deck and easy access to the beach. Random - but the water pressure in the showers was phenomenal. Owners were quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

The check in was very easy. Full amenities in the kitchen. Everything you could want in the house. It was was decorated so cute and it was spotless! The view was spectacular. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to renting The Blue Heron again!

Family Vacation

The house is inviting and has a bright and airy vibe. It is also stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a high chair and a pack and play.We did experience the AC not working on the first night of our vacation. However, the owner Bryan addressed the issue immediately and had it fixed quickly. Which was impressive considering it was July 3. My family and I enjoyed our stay and we look forward to booking again next year.

Great house, well stocked!

We loved the property and how well it was stocked eith essentias. The last house we rented ( not this house) on Galveston beach didnt have even a little bit of toilet paper when we arrived - so it was a pleasant arrival this time, to see how well it was prepared with essentials! The house is great, pics are accurate and the only thing was that the A/C went out on our last night. Ensuring an early checkout perhaps it was 85 degrees and of course, the owner couldn't get it fixed before we checked out. So that part was EXTREMELY uncomfortable trying to pack up and finish early in that heat. Houses renting for that much should have A/C units checked and maintained regularly so that doesn't happen. Otherwise, great house

LOOK NO FURTHER

This was our second stay here and it’s still our favorite! The upgrades are beautiful and as before, this house has everything you could need. It’s quiet and has direct beach access. Both the adults and kids had a great time. Bryan is so responsive. Zero complaints. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time. The house was just perfect. Better than the pictures. The layout worked so well for us. House has everything you need. Kitchen and butler’s pantry are very well stocked. West End Marina restaurant is practically across the street and was very good. The deck is great for mornings, afternoon and night. Very short walk to beach. We set up a canopy and it was perfect for time at beach and running back to the house, or just taking a walk. Bryan answered my questions very promptly. Will definitely go back. Soon I hope

Stunning!

Staying at Blue Heron was a great decision!The online photos were lovely, but didn’t do it justice! The owners did a remodel earlier in the year, and the results are stellar.The beachy décor is tasteful, not over-the-top.I give top marks for the cleanliness of the house. (I’m a stickler!) It was equipped with so many of the things we needed. The “butler’s pantry” had plenty of extra space for storage of our food supplies, the island was great for prep.The main bedroom has a nice, walk-in closet. Both baths have large, dual-sink vanities, and plenty of towels.The location has an amazing view of the ocean—our primary requirement in choosing a house. The beach was close enough to hear the waves, and easy to access. Each of the bedrooms, as well as the living room, has a smart TV on the wall. None of the TVs were fitted with external speakers, so hearing the programs was a little difficult. (The speakers on those kinds of TV are not for a quality sound experience.) As one with mobility challenges, I had to be careful in the showers, since they didn’t have safety handles. And the platform bed in the main bedroom was a bit high, with no stool, but none of that distracted us from having a wonderful time.Bryan, the host, was informative and responsive as we made our plans. I definitely recommend Blue Heron. I don’t think you will be disappointed!Bill & Bill

Great family getaway

This house exceeded expectations. The listing looked great online but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived by the recent updates. The house is directly on the beach which felt like our own private beach. All amenities were provided and then some! The check in process was super easy and the owners were very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
