Tropical Rainforest Retreat

We are situated between the mountains & Caribbean Sea, embrace the beauty of the El Yunque Rainforest in Naguabo, PR. Formally Hacienda Moyano, we have 4 acres of palm trees, 28 fruits growing wildly, and walking paths throughout. A crystal clear inground pool and gazebos make outdoor life comfortable. Take a trip to sandy beaches, or sip on Rum and watch the sunset. Rest well in our large renovated studios with bathroom, AC, and kitchenette. Each room has a big porch with breathtaking views.

Unplug, relax, and enjoy all the tranquility paradise has to offer. We do not have WiFi available. There is cell coverage here with the majority of carriers.

Parking is free and right in front of our Lodge. The property is enclosed and gated.

Grocery stores and gas stations are 5 mins away. Beaches are 10 mins away. There are many amazing restaurants within a 10 minute drive.

* Occasionally there are power outages in Puerto Rico, it is part of life here. Each room is equipped with battery powered lantern in case of an outage. We do have generators and will start them if needed (Because of the inflation of gas prices, if the power goes out in the middle of the night, they will not be turned on until the morning).

* You will be IN the Rainforest staying here - there are bugs. Our rooms are meticulously cleaned yet occasionally bugs find their way in.

* There are no laundry facilities available on site but there is a drop off and self serve laundry nearby called "Wash and Post". feel free to reach out for information on this.

* Please take care of your trash and dishes. Please do not break coconuts or sit on the kitchen counters in your room or the community kitchen.

* We do not offer stays over 2 weeks. (no monthly stays)

About Us:
I give my guests space but am available when needed. My husband and I run a wellness and retreat center here in Puerto Rico. We love to rent out our property for seasons throughout the year for people to take a vacation.

No Parties or Events - Sorry, you can use the pool, cook on the grill, but group parties are not permitted. Quiet hours are from 11pm - 7am.
Leaving dirty dishes or food out attracts bugs, roaches, and spiders. Dishes in your room and at the community kitchen must be washed a put away.
The septic systems in PR cannot handle toilet paper or any paper products (including tampons) We provide a trash receptacle for waste in the bathroom.

Lovely retreat in the mountains for some peace and quiet, with very comfortable, clean and spacious accommodations. Getting to and from the property on the narrow roads can be a bit challenging if one is not used to driving on such roads. Overall great choice!

Wonderful location that is close to restaurants and grocery stores, but also very private. The grounds are serene and beautiful in the rainforest. The pool was a highlight for us. The room is comfortable and had everything we needed for a two night stay. Host was communicative but gave us our privacy. Would definitely stay again!

This stay was amazing. The property is well maintained, clean, and cozy. The hosts were very accommodating and helped us reschedule our time when an issue arose. The pool is beautiful and the views spectacular. There are many things to do in the area, but just relaxing at the property is also wonderful. Highly recommend.

A True Gem in the Rainforest. STAY HERE!

What an amazing stay! Beautiful lodging, and a drop dead gorgeous view from every single step of the property. However big you are picturing the pool, it’s bigger and it’s great knowing the hosts are on-site. Can’t wait to recommend this to family, friends and any stranger who will listen.

PEACEFUL!!

If you are looking for a quiet, amazing stay ALMOST inside of the rainforest, here it is!!!! AND.....it has a beautiful pool as well. I will be back and will likely stay longer!!! The host/owner is also amazing and very attentive to the grounds. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT...

Hidden gem of tranquility and beauty in PR’s rainforest

The two nights we had at the tropical rainforest retreat were the highlight of our week in PR. The gorgeous lodge is located on a hill in a lush rainforest with views of the ocean in the distance. It’s an amazing place to relax, explore nearby waterfalls and watering holes, and a nearby local town on the water. Tonya was the perfect host and helpful with advice and support. .

Amazing Stay in the Rainforest

We had a great stay. Property was very clean and the pool is amazing. Tonya, the owner, was responsive to all of our questions. Air conditioning worked great, which is needed in the humid rainforest. My kids enjoyed the meal we cooked in the community kitchen. Great spot!

Quiet, relaxing retreat in the heart of the rainforest. The host sent over clear check-in instructions prior to our arrival and also sent over dinner options since we were arriving later in the day. The retreat was far enough from town that you could relax and immerse yourself in nature but also close enough that you could enjoy a day at the beach and the local culture within 10-20 minutes. 10/10 recommend and will be staying here on our next trip.

Great experience!

We loved the experience of this place-- listening to the coqui frogs at night, watching the rain on the trees from the balcony, exploring fruit trees on the property, cooking and dinner in the outdoor kitchen, and swimming in the pool. The hosts were proactive and set us up for an excellent stay. I appreciate their attention to detail. Thank you!

Beautiful setting

If you want to escape the world and just relax, this is a wonderful place! My son loved the huge pool and we enjoyed cooking in the outdoor kitchen and strolling down by the river.

Gorgeous lodge in the jungle

This property is so quaint and clean. Despite its relatively remote location we went to dinner, beaches and hiked to a waterfall all within 15 minutes. The estate is so peaceful and the room was simple and clean, and we enjoyed our time here very much.

Wonderful stay!

Loved the location in the rain forest. Extremely relaxing surrounded by nature. Tanya was very helpful with ideas for hikes and other activities and was there if needed. We would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to return soon!

Beautiful Property in Picturesque Location

We absolutely loved this property. The instructions and communication from the host were spot on. The room was clean and comfortable. The best feature was the rainforest views from all around the property. We saw so much wildlife and felt like we were tucked away from the world. Would definitely go back again!

Heaven!

I can’t even put into words how amazing this place is. Tonya was great to work with - sent very detailed information and was quick to respond. The grounds are absolutely beautiful to walk around, room was clean and spacious, the outdoor kitchen was perfect - well stocked with pots, pans, etc. We went to the store about 10 minutes away and just grilled the whole time. The pool was huge, the view incredible, I didn’t want to leave! We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you so much Tonya, this was the highlight of our trip!

Magical nature escape!!

I can’t say enough about the beauty of the location and the thoughtful accommodations! The sounds of the forest, the views, the huge room and comfortable beds! Hosts and staff took the time to talk to us and were exceptionally courteous. The nights of sleeping there with the windows open, listening to the sounds of the forest and an occasionally rain is something that can’t be put to words, very hard to leave.., thank you!
