This large 3-level cabin in the heart of Townsend, TN is just outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Gray Door Cabin and is the perfect retreat for families, couples or large groups. With 4 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths, this cabin will comfortably accommodate 11 guests. Each room is equipped with a Smart TV. High speed internet is also included with your rental, allowing you to easily access your entertainment apps and stream your favorite movie and TV shows.

With a private hot tub, gas grill, large back deck, fire pit area, and gas fireplace, you may not ever want to leave. If you do want to venture out, you are only a few miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Cherohala Skyway, Tuckaleechee Caverns, hiking trails, river tubing, fishing, restaurants and the small town charm of Townsend, TN. Or, you can explore and enjoy the surrounding area - conveniently located to Pigeon Forge/ Dollywood (approx. 35-min drive), and Gatlinburg (approx. 45-min drive).

Great cabin, plenty of room for multiple families. Only downside would be lack of kitchen basics. No steak knives or mixer & few pans.

Our host was wonderful! Love that the cabin was very near Cades Cove and some beautiful hikes and near some great restaurants. Cabin was clean except for lots of dead ladybugs we had to sweep up in den area upon arrival.Beds were very comfy! Could not figure out how to stop up any of the tubs so our young grandchildren could take baths. Maybe we should’ve contacted host and he could’ve explained. Wish there was not a barbed wire fence around property. Dangerous for our young grand children. Could use more stainless forks and spoons. Had to move furniture around in den to give us more room to hang out. But made sure to move it back before leaving . Could not get heat regulated ..very cold on bottom floor while too warm on top floor. Large cabin, but not an open floor plan as far as the living areas and kitchen, so it didn’t feel as large as it actually is.

Great location! Far enough away to have peace from the traffic and tourists, but close enough to get back from those tourist spots after a long day with a short, scenic drive. House was clean and very accommodating for a larger group (9-11) comfortably.

Not a lot of common space for gathering together in one area. It would have been great if our grandkids were teens as there was a separate area of gaming set up for that age group. Other than that everything was great. Easy to find, good connectivity, and beds were reasonably comfortable.

family getaway

we had 3 family households staying together, the cabin gave us some much room. plenty of rooms to spread out and spaces to come together. location was great, had a great swimming spot just down the street just inside the park. was very clean and well kept property. already looking forward to coming back someday.

Great time at this house and locatiin

Loved the property and enjoyed the wildlife that came thru. Nice quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was a little small for our large group but not a big concern. We would rent this home again for sure.

It is a beautiful place in a beautiful space! Everything was just perfect! The beds were very comfortable. Sometimes that is hard to find. You will not regret renting this cabin! Coffee on the porch was my favorite! Spectacular!

Beautiful and quiet.

This house exceeded my expectations. There are three levels each with their own bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s great for families or multiple couples. The house is super clean and has everything that you need. We spent every night in the backyard by the fire, enjoying the view and the fireflies. It was so quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this house.

Another great stay

We have staying here three years in a row and we love the location. The house is very well maintained and has nice perks like coffee! Which is so nice when you wake up the first morning and realized you forgot to bring some. Very well stocked kitchen and all the paper products etc we needed for a 3 night stay. We love the downstairs movie room and the beds are comfortable. Close to town but off the road and an awesome view in the backyard. Kids loved the hot tub too!

Perfect family rental

Our family of 10 stayed in the cabin for 3 nights and the view was beautiful, the house was clean when we got there, it was 15 mins from Gatlinburg / pigeon forge, the kids loved the backyard and games, although we couldn't get the game room pinball or other machine to work. But there was plenty for us all to do there anyways so we wasn't worried. Beds was comfy, we absolutely loved this stay and decided to extend another night as well and will be back soon for this rental. The owner replied back quick with any questions or concerns we had. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Great Location

The house is conveniently very close to many restaurants and distilleries as well as being near many hiking trails and activities, while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. We could hear wildlife moving around in the forest while sitting around the fire at night. The area is dark enough at night to be able to see more stars than we can at home. The downside was that we were using this house as a stop-over break during a long drive from Michigan to Florida. We arrived tired and hungry at 7:30 pm to a house that had not been cleaned from the previous renter. The manager offered to send out out for dinner while the cleaners came to clean the house, which was a reasonable trade. They did credit our account for a part of the cost of dinner without checking to see if it was enough- 125 does not cover dinner for 9 people. The kids were disappointed that the hot tub was cold and not usable the first night because the cleaners filled it last minute. Overall, we enjoyed the trip and the area. The house was relatively comfortable.

Our spring break trip

The property was very clean and spacious. We ate all of our meals in, so i appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. It was a quiet neighborhood and the kids really enjoyed the hot tub.
