Relax with the whole family and pets! This top of the mountain retreat is nestled in the woods with a wrap around deck giving spectacular views. The home is just a short drive from plenty of hikes in the state park, golf courses, stores, and gas. Hot tub is seasonal available March through beg of November. If temperatures go below 40 it may affect if sooner.

Very nice cabin

In general is a very nice place to relax alone or with family; comfortable and very safety. We enjoyed a lot, highly recommend.

Beautiful family getaway

The view is breath taking!!! My husband and I brought 2 dogs and our 2 kids under 12 yr and we had the best weekend getaway. It was so quiet, relaxing and the perfect family atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!

Great stay.

Beautiful view of the mountains. Property had everything you would need to spend time there. T.V. is a little challenging but with the surrounding state park area, should be something you don't need to focus on. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Relaxing Mountain Retreat

Just needed to get away from my work for a few days. Had a great time visiting the South Mountain State Park. This time of the year, very few people out in the park.

Hilltop House

Beautiful location with an incredible view, this house afforded us a great opportunity to get away and unplug. South Mountain State Park was just up the street and had some great hikes of varying difficulties. Would definitely book again.

Mountain Getaway Fall 2023

Quiet retreat with beautiful views of ever changing sky and mountains. Getting to the cabin is a bit daunting if you are not used to mountain roads, but once we did it a few times, it got easier. South Mountain State Park is a short drive and has lots of hiking trails. The hot tub was a great way to relax and relieve the muscle soreness after hiking. Great place for a quiet family retreat.

Beautiful Cabin with an amazing view

Such a beautiful house that is surrounded with trees and has a mountain view. The house was a little confusing to get to since the gps directions are off, but the host was very nice and provided me with more information. My family and I really enjoyed the enclosed patio where our dog and toddler could run around with no issues.

Happy Thanksgiving 2023

A quiet and peaceful home to enjoy each other's company with beautiful views of sunrise and the mountains. Getting to the cabin was made an enjoyable journey on the steep roads with the excellent directions provided by Charles. Check in was a breeze. We cooked our turkey in the smoker and the traditional sides in the kitchen while we watched the Macy's parade then football and talked of family memories. We took in the Winery, and one cannot miss a visit to Redbone Willy's Trading Post. Thank you for letting us create another family memory at Hilltop Mountain Retreat.

Quick Family Getaway Success

We had a great time at this quiet mountain retreat. Our group spanned from age 2 up to age 50 and we all enjoyed the comfort of the home's furnishings, the peacefulness of the surroundings, and the ease of the booking process on short notice. Our host was so easy to work with on the booking and provided enough basics within the home that it was easy to just land for the night and worry about groceries the next day. The outside deck is very well made and secured, so we felt completely comfortable letting our 2 and 5 year old children play on the deck. Beautiful sunrise view and AWESOME water pressure!! Do know that you will be taking steep mountain (but paved) roads to get to this rental. That said, it is worth every hill to reach this peaceful retreat.

This was an excellent place to stay; very relaxing and fairly convenient to restaurants, stores, etc

This place was very comfortable, and very well equipped for any needs that we had. We mostly cooked in, and the kitchen was well stocked with implements, spices, towels, etc. Our goal was to explore South Mountain State Park, and this place was a perfect location for doing that! I would definitely go back again! The host was very responsive to any questions. Excellent place to stay!

Cozy Secluded Getaway

This property was just what we needed to take a break from reality. The view from the deck every morning was breathtaking! The house was clean and had everything we needed to feel at home during our stay. When we had a question during our stay, the property manager was quick to respond and great to work with.

Wonderful!

We really had a pleasant stay here at this amazing property! Everything was even better than expected! The wraparound deck was spectacular- overlooking the scenery of the trees and mountains. Very peaceful and quiet there. Loved the hot tub too!

Great weekend

Stayed for a weekend here and it was amazing! The house was very clean and the views were spectacular. The host was awesome and always responded promptly with any questions I had. I would definitely visit here again!
