Welcome to Buck’s Cabin. The cabin has the feel of a hunting lodge, while offering amenities such as central heat and air conditioning.Max guest 4. There is a queen bedroom on the main floor. The loft has a king bed. Two bathrooms are on the main floor, one with a corner shower and one with a tub. A private outdoor shower is also located on the back of the house overlooking two acres of hardwood forest. The outdoor shower is available when there is no threat of freezing temperatures. No pet fee for one well behaved housebroken dog less than 25 lbs. WIFI is provided free of charge, and a smart tv featuring all streaming services to sign on using your accounts. Also all local Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc are available through an HD antenna. Fully equipped kitchen and a propane grill on the deck if you want to cook your own meals. Beautiful wood burning stove with wood provided. Screened porch, deck with dog gates, outdoor fire pit / deck and picnic area. Please see the photos! Parking for one vehicle.
It is conveniently located 7 miles to DuPont State Forest for mountain biking, hiking, many waterfalls, and fly fishing. Pisgah National Forest and Brevard is a 20 minute drive.
Nearby 158,000 acres of FREE public lands, world class fly fishing, hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking, bird watching and picnicking in Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, Gorges State Park, and Headwaters State Forest. YES! Everything! They even had amenities that other VRBO didn’t. If you didn’t leave the cabin just sit in the back porch & enjoy the sunrise, sun & awesome sunset. This cabin had some many windows to enjoy the outdoors w/o going outside. Clean & ready for you to enjoy! Don’t let this one get away- go & enjoy.

Wonderful cabin. Very clean. Pet friendly. Setting is beautiful and extremely peaceful. We enjoyed being away from the normal busyness of life. Owners were extremely kind and helpful.

An ideal mountain home and wonderful hosts

Quiet, secluded (but not isolated), and built exactly as I (personally) would want my own mountain home to be.One of the things I loved about this place is it wasn't a cookie cutter cabin, accessed via a paved road, stacked right next to another cookie cutter cabin. It's far enough off the main highway, such that you don't get much road noise, but still close enough that it only takes 1520 to get to Brevard, if you need something.Great view of mountains from the cabin itself, and a short walk up the road to an amazing view of the mountains and valley to the west.The cabin is super comfortable, with everything you need, and nothing you don't. Even the internet service was great! The wife and I worked a little remotely, without issue.Although note that not all cell service providers work very well in that general area. ATT was really hit or miss.Chris and Judy were very communicative and responsive. Even got to meet Chris in person, as he was grading the road in the neighborhood...which shows how invested they are.Their places ticks a lot of my boxes for what I look for in a mountain getaway, so I'm definitely going to be saving this for future visits.

Relaxing

We had a wonderful day at Buck's cabin. Everything was as described on the website. I will say it was out in nowhere land so be prepared. Excellent Wi-Fi. Everything was clean and it was just what we expected. Perfect location for seeing some of the local waterfalls and enjoying Brevard. We would definitely highly recommend a stay.

We loved our stay!

The cabin is very peaceful and relaxing, with everything you need for a getaway. Comfy beds and pet friendly. The hosts were very communicative and thorough. You will need a good car to get up the steep, windy, gravel road to get there.

Summer vacation

Beautiful place! Had everything+ what was necessary to have a wonderful trip. My wife and I were vacationing with 2 of her sisters and a brother in law. Had plenty of space The beds were very comfortable. The cabin was spotless. My wife and her sisters were excited to find the coffee percolator!

Our favorite spot in the mountains

This was our second stay at Buck's cabin. Our favorite part is the mountain view. The deck can be closed off to keep the dogs safe. We also appreciate the privacy. The cabin is clean and well equipped. The owners are quick to communicate. Lastly the cabin is a quick 20-30 minute drive to Dupont and Pisgah forests for terrific hiking and waterfall viewing. We can't wait to book our next stay at Buck's

Great Cabin!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this wonderful cabin. It was just like the pictures provided - clean, quiet location and wonderful hosts. It's a short drive to many hiking destinations and to the town of Brevard. We would stay here again when in the area.

Nice place near Brevard

Enjoyed the stay there very much. It was a great relaxation trip and the cabin was very nice, I enjoyed the dark night stars and quiet evenings. We plan on returning soon.

Get Away

It rained a lot and we played some great games. The only problem was the shower is very small and needs updating. The rating would have been higher. The fireplace was beautiful.

Wonderful cabin!

We had a great stay at Buck’s Cabin with our family of 4 and 2 dogs. The cabin is as described and the hosts were wonderful and gave great recommendations. We enjoyed nearby waterfall hikes, going into Brevard and Cedar Mountain. The yard around the house was great for the dogs and the outdoor shower was also a treat. Would love to stay again.

Perfect Getaway

Peace and quiet

This home is everything we dreamt of when imaging a mountain retreat. We especially loved the back deck with the unobstructed mountain view. We also enjoyed the gorgeous wood-burning stove. The home is well equipped and the owner is quick to help if needed.

Awesome Cabin!

We’ve stayed in several mountain cabins in the past few years, and this was one of our favorites! The hosts were incredible! We had lots of fun roasting marshmallows and playing darts. The environment is relaxing and perfect for a family getaway. Highly recommended!

Best cabin!

This was the coziest cabin that has everything you need and the view is breathtaking! We enjoyed getting away from it all and having the wood burning fireplace and fire pit.

Chris is more than happy to give advice on some fly fishing locations in the area, local outfitters, and recommend favorite guides.
