Your up north getaway starts here! Cozy 2 bedroom / 1 bath cottage on the south side of Hubbard Lake. Knotty pine throughout - gives a nice up-north rustic vibe! Full kitchen, spacious living room, queen bed in one room, full bed in 2nd.
Private, wooded setting with abundant wildlife! Perfect for year-round fun! Only a short walk down the hill to the lake.
Enjoy all the area has to offer - swimming, boating, fishing (driveway provides room for boat/trailer) and golf in the summer; hunting and color tours in fall; snow mobiling/ice fishing in winter. DNR boat launch within 1 mile of cottage. White Pine Golf Course, and area restaurants within 1-2 miles. Gas, grocery and convenience stores within 10 miles, and Alpena is only a 1/2 hour away. Cabin was super clean and all inclusive. Cozy and warm. Great fall getaway to see fall colors! Will probably return in the summer to enjoy the lake swimming and fishing.

The cabin was lovely. Deb is an amazing hostess. The cabin had everything from cooking pans to shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. There is a large mowed lawn, lawn chairs, fire ring and wood to burn. We loved this cabin .

Perfect for us!

Communication with Deb was excellent, easy check in, everything was as listed and perfect for us. We saw the twin fawns in the front yard one evening and then another deer a while later. Location worked well for us. Hope to stay again when we are in the area.

Cozy and simple

For the price of about 104 a night, we felt that we got what we paid for. The cabin was in a great location and was cozy inside - the up north cabin vibe you’d expect! The living space provided a comfortable spot to lounge with a few people or kick back in one of the recliners and the kitchen had a small table you could sit at if desired. The beds were also comfortable. Deb, the host, was an excellent communicator and very thoughtful in turning the heat on before our arrival since the weather had taken a turn. Everything was meticulously clean upon our arrival and check in was smooth. Some things to note: Neither of the bedrooms had doors on them, only curtains, which I didn’t remember seeing in the listing. Be sure to bring cooking spray or oil as there wasn’t any and the pans were older. Only two of the four pillows on my bed actually felt like they still had enough stuffing in them so luckily we had brought the kids’ pillows for them sleeping on the sofa bed.For the price per night, which was during the off-season, I felt that it was worth the value overall and would recommend the cabin to future guests.

Winter Getaway Near Hubbard Lake, Michigan

Quiet stay for retired couple in a clean, well-maintained cabin. Communications with Debbie were excellent. Loved the kitchen/dining room view of the back yard & trees.

Perfect up north cozy cabin

Exactly what we needed for a 3 night stay up north. 3 adult men stayed in this location, and with the pull out couch we all had our own beds. Everything was clean, the owner was easy to communicate with, and we'd stay there again without hesitation.

Great stay!

Classic up north cabin. Had a nice stay for a wedding in town. The only thing to note is that there are curtains not doors on the bedroom - not a problem just something to know.

Pleasant Retreat

This little cabin is peaceful and charming! There is a lot to do in the area and this is a great home base between the adventures. This was the quintessential UpNorth stay. Great communication. Highly recommend!

Relaxing get away

This place is a perfect get away for the family and a fun return to hubbard lake after 5 years. The property manager is extremely friendly and attentive, house is extremely clean and organized, overall good place to stay to explore hubbard lake and/or to just relax. Will probably book again on our next visit to the area.
