The Cabin Getaway

We want you to feel right at home staying at our family cabin.

The Private cabin located at 3425 Demun Rd, which happens to be a maintained seasonal road surrounded by 60 acres. You will most likely see some dear and turkeys and even bears, so enjoy the wildlife.

You have your own pond to fish, and swim. There is even a large slide for the everyone. Located on a dirt road and low traffic very secluded. You can bring your pets, if they are part of your family they are welcome.

We are in the center of everything that the Southren Tier of NY has to offer, wineries, Keuka Lake 30 min drive, Watkins Glenis a 45 min drive, Coring Museum of Glass 20 min drive.

Enjoy the outdoor patio and lounge in the Hammock. Stay for the hunting season, (with owners permission for hunting land) and hunt nearby State Lands.

At night just relax by a camp fire, i do provide some firewood but i would like to ask if you are able to bring some for stays longer than 2 nights. You can watch a movie on our 70 inch tv with surround sound. There are several things for the children to do. We have corn hole boards, kayaks ,football table and board games if it’s a rainy day.
For those who wish to book for a party, reunion or wedding there is a great Tiki bar that is perfect for all occasions. Plenty of parking for all. Special rates for party’s over 15 people.

Remember we are off the beaten path and you are on VACATION so, the reception on cell phones may or may not work. Verizon seems to be the best in the area. Basic TV with no Netflix or streaming. This may seem like an inconvenience but believe me once you have arrived, you will find that you can live without all that technology or Wi-Fi.

We have a full kitchen that is supplied with all the cooking utensils, pot and pans and even spices to barbecue on the patio. The propane is also provided,
We supply the blankets, linens, towels and laundry soap for your stay and TP.

For your security, I have put in a wall safe to store your valuables. If you want to use I will send you the code. No charge for use.

The property was just as depicted....lots of space for the dog, a hot tub, great kitchen facilities, a nice fireplace for the chilly evenings. Lots of wildlife to see and photograph....we HIGHLY recommend this property

Everything was excellent! Will definitely book again! Everything you need is in the kitchen. And the furniture and bed are super comfy-cozy! Clean and comfortable peaceful retreat. Loved watching the wild life.

Relaxing Getaway

Had a great time as usual at the Cabin Getaway. Saw lots of wildlife from the deck. Had fun swimming and enjoyed the hot tub. Everything you need for a peaceful stay. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Hot tub, fire pits, downstairs is all open to the gorgeous surroundings, beautiful natural staircase. They are working to get it ready for their busy season. We came a little too early in the year to appreciate everything available.

Great relaxing time!

We had an amazing few days here. Beautiful property, had fun watching all of the deer and wild turkeys. Caught some fish, and our English Springer Spaniels were in heaven! We will for sure come back! Thank you to the owner! It is a perfect place to decompress and unplug!

Lovely place but not for us

Three women friends staying three nights to run the Corning marathon on Sunday. We were very impressed with the property--lovely lake and huge open grounds as far as we could see. But it was in the middle of nowhere and difficult to access, especially at night. I am not used to driving country roads--there were no lights and the roads were windy and became unpaved closer to the house. We wanted to go into Corning, Watkins Glen and visit wineries on the Trail and eat in nice restaurants--all were far and it was difficult to return back to the house after dark. We could not get the television and electric fireplace to work and the Host did not get back to us until a full day later; her response was vague and not helpful. We expected toiletry products, but there was no shampoo, conditioner or lotion. More importantly, we expected to be sleeping comfortably since we were only three and house was to sleep 6. The main bedroom was small, with only a full sized bed (not queen as stated). The other room had bunkbeds. The top bunk only had a thin foam mattress and it was not prepared for someone to sleep in it. Air conditioner in the bunk bed room did not work. We got a $15 rebate without asking, but the window could not be opened. The lamp in the full-sized bed room did not have a bulb. Two of the four kitchen chairs were too short for the counter were too short and the seats were broken. The hot tub was nice, but there was dirt in each corner.

Amazing outdoor space

We really had an amazing time at this property! Rented for a long weekend with friends before our wedding day and everyone had the best time. The thing we kept saying was, we will have to do this again next year but for longer! Only hiccup we ran into was Google maps got us turned around a bit, but we should have downloaded the maps ahead of time. Service getting to the spot was limited but we actually had decent service once we were there. 10-10 recommend!

Very relaxing getaway, loved all the amenities on the property. Looking for a secluded relaxing time? This is it. Enjoyed the kayaks and hot tub. Saw Bald Eagle, Great Blue Heron, Wild Turkeys, Deer, Fish in the Pond! The local grocery store is close enough and so friendly and the take out food was pretty good out of the same place! Thank you for an excellent place to get away, we will definitely be back!!!

Only fields and trees surround

A wonderful and unique place seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The living area (kitchen, living room, bedrooms) are on the second floor, below a garage like space set up as recreation room exposed to the outdoors where a tiki bar and more recreation, including a pond and zip-line. The host is not far away, though unless it was the one car we saw on the road in three days, we didn't see them. We wanted to comfortably get away from it all and did, surrounded by far fields, trees, a pond next to the house, with fresh air under big skies.

Great getaway!!!!

My son and husband got there a few minutes before the rest of us and when I pulled up my son greeted me in the driveway " this place is so dope". Needless to say we had an amazing time, from ziplining to kayak races in the pond, fishing (didn't know there were that many different fish in the pond). My husband even caught a snapping turtle. We all had an amazing time right down to the dog! And as a mom having a washer and dryer put the cherry on top! This was our first vacation that they were begging to stay longer, and this is from city kids. Cannot say enough about how great this property is. We would definitely stay again!

So peaceful

The trip started out bumpy with a storm knocking out the power before we got there, but our host helped us brainstorm some ideas on how to make it through till power returned. After that everything went very smoothly. The location is beautiful! On the busiest day 5 cars passed the house! The sound of the fountain in the pond is the only thing you can hear. The house was well kept and stocked. Some of the furniture is a little tired but it looks like they are replacing things as they go. The wood steps inside are beautiful to look at, but I would not recommend them for anyone who is unsteady in their walking. All in all this is a great place and we are keeping this one in mind for when we just need to press pause.

Great place in the middle of nowhere

I wish we had been able to stay longer. The place was quiet and beautiful, in a remote setting. The pond was large and fun to swim in. The girls loved the slide and the kayaks. We used the patio until late and got to see a small herd of deer wander near. My only complaint could be that the small bedroom didn't have a window ac, and the girls decided to sleep in the living room because it was hot, but honestly it's small. It is a cabin, so can't expect luxury, lol.

Beautiful location

There was 8 people in our party. 5 adults, a 17 yr old, 13 yr old and a 9 yr old. The listing says sleeps 8. There is a full bed in one bedroom, a bunk bed with the bottom bunk bed a double and a pull out couch in the living room. We were able to sleep 7, so we had to drive 30 minutes away to get an air mattress. Had we known, we could have brought from home. Hot tub was filthy and had to clean out filter 4 times to get the water clean. We had to pay a fee for the hot tub and should have been clean. So we were not able to use the first night. Air conditioning was a portable unit and didn’t keep up very well. Bring a fan or 2 if the weather will be warm! (There was one fan provided). Could not play darts as all the tips were broken off. I’m sorry if this comes off as mean as I don’t mean for it too. I’m just trying to give people some tips. Yes, we would go back as everyone had a great time and even after 5 days didn’t want to leave! Location was beautiful and we saw deer and turkeys every day! Would be stunning in the fall. We are already talking about our next trip!
