A coastal family retreat situated directly on the Gulf, Fort Fun West, a four-bedroom, four-bath duplex (west side), brings the outside in with its inviting décor. Featuring coastal hues of blue and tan, granite countertops, new cabinetry, and an open living, kitchen and dining area, the Fort Morgan house greets visitors with a soothing and convenient atmosphere. The dining table is large enough to accommodate 10 people. A covered balcony and private patio make outdoor dining, relaxing or gathering with friends and family a breeze. Your own private pool make staying at Fort Fun West even more fun!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Weekend getaway

Property was excellent! We really enjoyed the pool and the accommodations. The only thing is we didn’t bring coffee! It has been a long time since I stayed somewhere that did not provide a Keurig and coffee pods. Other than that it was a perfect weekend!

To much fun at Fort West

The beach access was wonderful. The house was in very poor shape. Save thousands with another place not on the beach. This place has seen better days!

Great Location

We had a great stay at Fort Fun West. The location was exactly what we were looking for…easy access to the beach and a small, private pool that the kids could enjoy.The house was satisfactory. There were plenty of places to sleep and plenty of bathrooms to share. There were a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Also, if staying for more than a couple of nights, be prepared to bring TP, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags, etc. as very few of those were provided for our three night stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Fun Fort Trip

Had such a good time! Enjoyed being right in the beach and spending time in the afternoons in the pool! Will definitely be back!

Nice and relaxing

Overall had a great get away with family. Beautiful house and a super nice neighborhood. Great secluded place for families. Our kids had an amazing time and the babies loved their first time at the beach. Definitely check out fort Morgan!!! We’ll definitely be back.

Oyster Fest

We stayed for 3 nights for the Oyster Fest. The weather wasn’t the greatest, but it is always a great time at the beach! The house was very clean! Give those cleaners a RAISE. There was a view of the ocean and the bay. I didn’t realize when booking that this place was so large. It is three stories!! My only wish, is that the pool had been heated.

Enjoyable vaca

The property had everything we needed but didn't have room to pack, such as beach chairs, sand toys, and nets. So that saved us from having to buy things and having to leave them. The location was perfect. Being right on the beach is also great with kids.

Great location!

The location was perfect and very private, the only downside are that the Wi-Fi would not work the entire trip and the comforters on the beds are so thin it’s like sleeping with just a sheet! But other than those things the place was a wonderful stay and a great getaway!

Amazing

Loved the property and the beach. Everything was simply amazing. Only thing I would fix is the outside stairs has quite a bit of nails sticking up out of the wood. Overall, would stay here again!

Spring break 2024

We loved the closeness to the beach. Even tho it was spring break the beach wasn’t crowded. Perfect for keeping up with the toddler. Neighbors/community was great. We visited the fort and a couple of the restaurants on fort Morgan. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Beautiful location!

Nice setup, convenient to a couple of good restaurants and dollar general as well as a market. While overall it was a good stay: -the dryer didn’t work well and took excessive time to dry clothes -there was not sufficient dishwasher detergent or toilet paper for a 5 night stay for a 4 bedroom home -pans were not clean and were just tossed into cupboards -the cleaning crew needs to do some more scrubbing -upon arrival 2 smoke detectors were chirping and we had to disconnect the batteries and electrical connections to stop that

Not Horrible but not Good!

Loved the Location near the beach and the small private swimming pool…house was layed out nicely…beds were not comfy, had some cleanliness and electrical problems…just know the sand is inevitable everywhere!

We arrived the first night and although everything was relatively clean and cool, it wasn’t long until the sand collected on the floor, which is normal for the beach area, but the floor in the living space is slick to begin with and the sand made it like an ice rink. I called that evening and expressed my concerns of falling and asked for a vacuum so we would be able to keep it better clean. We did have a broom and dust pan but it was one of the cheapest I have ever experienced because it didn’t help much at all. Kitchen faucet was broken and some doors had problems all reported the night we arrived, expect to see somebody come by to check things out sometime during Friday, but nobody came. Woke up Saturday to the sewer overflowing and reported that and as with all other messages they said this: I apologize for any inconvenience caused. Approximately 48 hours after the request was made and halfway through our stay, a professional arrived on Saturday at supper time. He demonstrated exceptional professionalism and diligently addressed the faucet and door knob issues. We informed him about the septic system, and he assured us that he would notify the relevant authorities. Twenty-four hours later, a plumber arrived to inspect the situation.We were supposed to get the cleaning fees refunded but only a portion was returned. If you are considering or have already booked I strongly recommend you cancel your stay or don’t book. Couldn’t put all about stay due to limited spa

Absolutely beautiful, beds where comfy!

The whole house was beautiful, and the beach front was amazing! The bed was comfy and the little pool was a neat touch! We had a little crab in our pool when we got there but we got him out so we could swim! There was two windows that look like a rock with thrown at them, one was in the kitchen and one was upstairs. We did find a lot of random long black hair every where but it’s wasn’t awful . I’ve been recommending this house to my parents and friends for next year and we can not wait to go back! Perfect place to stay if you want to see the sunset and sunrise! Also it’s pet friendly!

Beach trip 2022

The house is nice, but needs work. The cabinet door over the dishwasher came off the hinges. My husband repaired it. The shower door in the master bath would not stay on track and would not completely close. I believe the other shower doors were the same way. The vent in the master bath dripped to the point it kept the bath mat damp. We had 8 people staying and only 6 forks, so the silverware needs to be evaluated. On the plus side the air conditioning is out standing! We had 5 women in the group and I asked for more towels and they were promptly delivered. The kids loved the pool and we loved that we were steps to the beach.

Great place, poor cleanliness

So when we arrived, it was apparent no one had cleaned. The carpet was gross, there was backed up water full of pasta sauce in the sink in the kitchen. There was urine in the toilet, the floors were covered in sand, and dirt, there was no toilet tissue, trash bags, or cleaning supplies. The pool was complete with a big gob of floating human hair and two dead crabs. The linens were stained and it was obvious they hadnt been washed, only spot cleaned. The deck and stairs have board which are not secure and there were rusty screws sticking out of some boards, which caused my child to sustain an injury. The couches were stained, covered in sand. The property was beautiful, obviously on the beach, there was a coffee pot, stove, dishwasher, fridge, etc. It is a private beach and despite the tourists, felt very safe for me and my family. We still had a good time, but had to make the best of what we had. Overall it had everything we needed and had it not been for how dirty the place was I would consider this same property again. I did contact management who stated they would send housekeeping over. They arrived handed me some toilet tissue, trash bags and left. I ended up buying cleaning supplies and doing my best to clean. Maintenance never showed up to correct the sink that was full of dirty water, or the master bath toilet that wouldnt stop running. But hopefully things can be cleaned and repaired before anyone else stays.

Needs some updating

The best part was the location and the beach—both were great! Beach was not crowded in the least and we were so close to Tacky Jack’s where we ate all our meals. The bedrooms overall were comfy, but the bathrooms are in need of updating. Had an issue with 2 showers not draining. Vacasa had someone out in 2 days to fix, but was a pain to have to share bathrooms when we paid to have our own. Pots and pans were mostly unusable due to heavy stains and wear making it another area in need of some updates (5 forks for a 4 bedroom house is a bit absurd!!) We had our late arriving person bring cookware from home. I never thought to read closely about the home having a DVD player—I assumed. It was quite surprising to not find one, but that is on me for not reading carefully enough. Living room was a bit small, but comfortable. All in all a good vacation, but would not rent this particular home again without some updated pictures. Will use Vacasa again.
