With two huge porches, you have a beautiful view over the Atlantic, with stunning views of both the sunrise and sunset. Relax and tan on the sun deck or go under to the covered deck to enjoy the breeze while lounging in the hammocks. Surrounded by restaurants with vegetarian options or fresh caught-catch straight out of the ocean, Kill Devil Hills has everything on the menu. Close to Avalon Fishing pier, Sea Scape Golf Links, and several public beach accesses, you’ve got plenty of options for fun in the sun.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time! Ample space for a family of 8. Clean, neat, and exactly as advertised. We had a broken bed and the hot tub wasn't working. They were both fixed within 24 hours by friendly professionals.

We especially love the screened porch and swing. Also, the beach is easily accessed and never crowded (even during our gorgeous week in August). Our two recommendations for repairs are:1) The refrigerator door slams against the wall2) The sliding door to the screened porch is REALLY hard to slide.Thanks for a wonderful week!

Great location

The house was centrally located within good eating restaurants, souvenir shops and awesome access to the beach. The house was very clean and great accommodations for our entire family. My only recommendations would be to include the beddings and towels in the original price, not to add an additional charge.

And we really loved the screened porch for evening hangouts.

The Best Vacation!

We had a very pleasant and fun-filled stay at Cleared to Land. The house was so amazing and beautiful. We got to go to the beach almost every day. Being able to have the beach umbrella, chairs and cart made the beach days possible and the most enjoyable vacation we have ever had! We got to try new places to eat that are close to the house. We did not have any bad food experience. Cleared to Land gets 5 Stars from us! We will be returning in the future. Our annual family trip is to the OBX! Looking so forward to next year!

Excellent location

Beach access was close. Beach toys were great especially the cart. Kitchen utensils were new and sufficient. Only "Knock" was the neighbor in the green house behind us has two dogs that barked/wined all night. There should be a dog ordinance.

The house is in such a fantastic location... just a 2 minutes walk to the beach. The house itself is fantastic! VERY well stocked kitchen - it has everything you need to feed your family. Lots of games, TONS of beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie/skim boards. The extra fridge in the storage room was so helpful for overflow ice and drinks. The hot tub was a wonderful alternative when the beach was too hot. Can't say enough good about Cleared to Land - HIGHLY recommend!

The house was really well kept for the age of the property. We loved that it had 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. Even though we were about a half block back from the beach we still had a view of the ocean.

Wonderful 1st Experience in OBX

It was very clean when we arrived and we were able to check in at 4 which was incredibly helpful after a long drive with 2 kids lol. The layout of the house, the fully stocked kitchen and beach gear, the hot tub, and outdoor shower made it awesome! Some pros/notes: there is a coffee pot and keuring available. There is a vacuum on each floor. Bedspreads, mattress covers and pillows are already provided even without the linen package. Living room TV is a smart TV. All others offer direct TV. The beach access is approximately 800 ft so that was incredible! Oh and there is a beach wagon which was a lifesaver!Some cons to note though, the house is older so some of the fans and light fixtures did not work. And most of the sliding screen doors were difficult to open and close. The refrigerator has an issue with the doors not creating a suction so you have to push it closed. All items were reported and maintenance was scheduled to come out when we left (that was our request). The rental company was always responsive and helpful.

It went so fast!

We had so much fun. We were very close to the ocean. I loved the view from the living room window. My husband loved sitting in the screened porch. The kids had their own floor and bathrooms. Everyone was happy!

Summer holiday at the beach

House is in a perfect location for easy beach access (right across the road) and beach views from the upper decks. Great fishing spot and lovely wide beach with few crowds. Safe and quiet - lots of families around - within walking distance to Brew Thru, a cute farm stand and local seafood restaurant. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfy. I think the only negative was the electrical issues mentioned by other visitors - fans not working and the screen porch is a bit weather worn with no light or fan. We preferred the outer decks. The proximity to the beach more than made up for those for us. But I could see it being an issue if you were stuck indoors too long with bad weather. All in all a great vacation rental.

One bedroom had no working ceiling fan/light, had to replace battery in remote. Ceiling fan and all lights on screened in porch did not work; not fixed during stay.Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, pretty much every kitchen tool you might need. Boogie boards/beach cart and fishing poles available as well. Sliding glass door locks on top level had significant corrosion and needs attention. One spindle from railing came loose and needed maintenance as we have a 17 month old.No problems with neighbors and location is very close to beach. All appliances worked well.

Only issue was ceiling fan in living area didn't work, light and ceiling fan on screened porch and in one of the queen bdrms. Short walk to beach, lots of great beach equipment. Loved the frig downstairs, got great use of hotter on rainy days. Would definitely stay here again!

Worst vacation ever. Less than 1 star

Beach Realty manages this property VRBO only lists it. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. We had to stay home for the 4 out of 6 days we were there to wait for repair people. There was a dirty bed and no AC on the 3rd floor. They offered no compensation for this. The homeowner gave us back a small amount but the property managers who were at fault refused to refund us anything. Stay away from Beach realty.
