Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The wooded property provides maintained walking trails for plenty of wildlife viewing pleasure and exercise. The property also features a swimming pond.

Location is 8 miles from Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Amphitheater. 10 miles from Interlake State Off Road Recreation Area. 13 miles from Holiday World. 30 miles from Evansville casinos.
The space
The guest house contains a queen and twin beds at one end of the facility, two vanity bath between that end and the end with living and kitchen area.

Lots of parking, ideal for vehicles with trailers, campers.
Other things to note
This setting has it all...your own dedicated 13 acres of woods, with maintained trails, one acre pond for swimming, fishing (catch and release), and wildlife viewing. The owner/operator is happy to assist and make suggestions, on site full time.

Where do I start?! We were able to check ourselves in very late at night, which was very convenient for us. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Clean and minimalistic. There were an abundance of towels and washcloths in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was divine and the water stayed super hot for the duration of my showers without having to adjust the temp multiple times. The bed was extremely comfortable! I have had major spinal surgery, and most beds hurt my back, but this one was perfect! The only complaint we had was the lack of exterior lighting. Trying to find the cabin in the pitch darkness was a bit difficult. Communication with Doug was seamless and easy. He responded promptly and was super helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area in the future!

Great country getaway for us and the dogs with beautiful property to explore. Host was very helpful, flexible, and quick to communicate when we had some possible delay and difficulties on our part. The cabin had everything we needed for a simple retreat.

The owner Doug was really nice and accommodating for us! We were on our motorcycle and were able to park it in the garage attached to the cabin making everything close and comfortable! He warned me about the deep gravel to make sure I knew about it before riding through it to the garage so that I was prepared because it does make riding a little more difficult but all was well and we had a great weekend! The concert we saw at Lincoln Amphitheater was only about 10 miles away so it was a short ride coming back in the dark thankfully!

The property was just what we were looking for. Quiet, out in the country, with walking trails and a pond to fish or swim in. We brought a trailer for our ATV (we were riding at the nearby Interlake SRA just a short distance away) and there was plenty of room for our trailer while we were there.Doug was a great host, gave us some ideas on places to eat and the nearby town of Boonville, has a neat downtown block with restaurants and shops.

Interlake stay

Stayed here for a long weekend getaway to Interlake to off-road. Had the best time and Doug was a great host. Will be returning

Great getaway!

We stayed at this cabin for a full week and had an amazing time. It was tucked away and on a beautiful piece of property. We drove to town (15-30 min depending on where we went) for some good restaurants and sightseeing. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Mr. Doug was a great host and we had everything we needed. Great stay

Place was as described and perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and host was great with communication. Between the two of us we caught over 30 fish in the pond. Very fun. Thank you for a great stay

Everything we could've asked for!

We had such a great stay, and our two dogs absolutely loved being able to go off leash, and Doug was so accommodating and friendly. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and very well kept! Will definitely stay again!

Relaxing

We wanted a quiet get away from home and the daily routines. This is the place as it was advertised. We enjoyed the inside as well as the outside. The inside had every thing we needed.The rustic furniture made it cozy. The outside has walking trails and one takes you to a nice little pond to fish in.We enjoyed our stay, it was just right for us. Thanks Doug for sharing it.

Birthday Weekend 2024

Had a great time ! The gueat house was perfect for a getaway from the hustke and bustle of life. The only drawback was the gravel road , 2 miles, you had to drive on to get to a grocery store unless you go way out . The prooerty is beautiful. The only thing id do dodferent is have an air fryer. That gives you an oven to go along with the 2 plate hot plate. We loved it and would love to go back. We saw turkeys, deer, all kinds of birds. Our rat terrier loved it too !

What a great place to call home for a couple days

We so enjoyed our stay here. After 2 busy days at Holiday World, it was beyond amazing to come back to a beautiful setting and amazing guest house with so much room, super nice furnishings, and grill and firepit outside. The nice walk to the beautiful lake in the woods early morning was a great way to wake up. Doug is an amazing nice guy to talk with and planning was so easy with him. He responds to any questions and has so much ready at the house already for a great stay. I cannot say enough good things about him and the guest house!

Holiday World vacation

Hello Travelers!

I put together this "Guest House" accommodation about 15 years ago when moving to the area, with no intention of renting it as a bed and breakfast. It has seldom been used, but is appointed very nicely, similar to the log home primary residence on the property. Access to the facility is very convenient, with large expansive driveway access, and it is all very private, separate from the main residence. Renting the guest house includes access to the 13 wooded acres and pond on the property, with maintained walking trails. If you are interested in your own, private "resort" in the country, then this is your place. I'm adding amenities all the time, and hope to exceed your expectations. I'm excited about the Guest House as a bed and breakfast rental, and have already enjoyed meeting some really pleasant and interesting guests. I enjoy helping and hosting people, so I think this is going to be a good fit. I'm an entrepreneur by nature, so this is another opportunity for me to demonstrate my commitment to delivering value to you, my Customer! Welcome!

This property offers incredible value for the individual or group who is looking to have exclusive access to 13 wooded acres of land and all the features of a fully-furnished and very comfortable residence. With the exception of the occasional single RV customer that would share the property, it is an exclusive and private rental. Plus, the owner/operator is on site full time and available to answer questions and resolve concerns.

The mild Southern Indiana climate provides for long summers, and mild winters. Wildlife viewing is abundant on the property, and the owner/operator does regular wildlife photography during the winter months, so that opportunity to join him is available. The pond on the property is set up to swim and feed the fish, but if you want to try your hand at catch and release, there are good populations of large mouth bass and bluegill to be had.
