We are literally just steps to the beach, on the scenic route in the seaside village of Mill Bay, BC. Our garden suite has a lovely view of the ocean where the sunrises will greet you each morning. Restaurants are walking distance as is our marina, community wharf & shopping mall. Wine tasting at 9 nearby vineyards or hike, bike, golf, play pickleball at our newly opened neighbourhood courts, we have it all for a holiday to remember. Close to Victoria for easy day trips. Lovely location

We had a great stay to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. We were close to several great trails and we didn’t have a bad meal the entire trip. Very nice if you’re looking for a quiet vacation.

The place was very comfortable. Comfortable bed tho a little “creaky”. It is a basement suite so some noise from people walking around upstairs. It was very rainy so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors much and that is definitely part of the charm of the rental.

Really enjoyed our stay in Mill Bay. Short walk to the beach, marina and town. Full sized kitchen and fridge. Quiet hosts and location. Very clean and spacious.

Quiet. Beautiful view!

Host was amazing. Greeted us and helped us find the right unit even though we arrived at 11:45p. Great communication. The suite had everything we needed. Very comfortable.

Lovely little cottage in Mill Bay

What a beautiful little cottage! Very quiet and private with a beautiful garden right outside the door and amazing sunrise views. Many thanks to Shannon for hosting us. I hope we can come back next year.

Mill Bay stay

Quiet one bedroom aparment with functional kitchen and sitting area. We really enjoyed the morning view of the bay while having coffee, a beautiful spot.

Close to Brentwood

Perfect spot to stay for visiting Brentwood for sports or students. Nice beach access just 1 block away. Has everything you need to cook. Would be lovely in any season.

Relaxing Holiday Stay

Shannon & Harold were excellent hosts.We had a wonderful, relaxing one week stay in their very comfortable ground-level apartment which had lovely views of Mill Bay (especially the sunrises)The apartment had everything we needed including access to a large washing machine and dryer, which was definitely a plus for our roadtrip.Thank you Shannon & Harold for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment and thank you for the recommendations of places to see and the ferry ride while we were there.It was lovely meeting you both.Warm regards Nev & Margie xx

This is a lovely basement walkout suite looking towards the beach. It was very clean with easy access to the suite. Parking was available in their second driveway. The kitchen was fully equipped and the host provided enough coffee beans for the 3 days we were there and cream, and pretty much any spice you required, etc. It is as described and pictured. The walk down to the beach was just down the street that was just one house over. It was near several wineries and Merridale Cidery. It was very central for us to do day trips and see lots in area. We even saw a quail family in the backyard. The hosts were very quiet. We really only saw the host when we arrived and departed, very friendly. We would stay here again.

Pleasant and quiet

Steps to the beach is a lovely picturesque area to spend a vacation. There was nothing that Shannon forgot to equip us with. It was very quiet and pleasant. The suite was spotless and water pressure was great for showers. Close to any stores you might need. Beautiful place to enjoy morning coffee with a view of the blooming gardens. The host was so easy to deal with, and so accommodating - super nice people. The home is in an absolutely beautiful spot, and the location is ideal. Any Brentwood parents, take note, it is a two minute drive to the campus. We wish we had known about this spot eight years ago. The amenities are beyond what we normally expect, including a brand new bbq for the use of guests. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was awesome. There was a coffee maker, with coffee provided, and they even left some REAL CREAM in the fridge - winning! All around top notch experience.

Great location, nice ocean view

This property has easy access to the beach; you can walk to the marina at low tide. The yard and outdoor sitting areas are beautiful. The location is very quiet. We didn’t hear any traffic noise and rarely heard our hosts moving around upstairs. Shannon greeted us upon arrival and we didn’t see her again until our departure (she was available, but we had no concerns and had everything we needed) The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable (but the pillows are rather flat) The only reason I didn’t give this property 5 stars is because we were asked to strip the bed and take out our garbage, compost and recycling before departing which is something we’ve never come across before. Not a huge request, but very unexpected.

Prima huis in prachtige omgeving

Wij verbleven voor 5 nachten. Het verblijf heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Contact met de host was alleen bij aankomst en verder hoor je ze af en toe lopen. Heerlijk om in de ochtend te ontbijten op het terras in het zonnetje met mooi uitzicht ( de struiken mogen nog een beetje gesnoeid worden ;-) En ook fijn om 's avonds gezellig te zitten bij het vuurtje in de tuin. Supermarkt is heel dichtbij. We hebben prachtige wandelingen gemaakt. Het museum 'Hand of men' is een aanrader op ong 30 min rijden. Bizar grote collectie. Victoria is ook maar ong. 40 min rijden en leuk en mooi om te bekijken. Heerlijke vakantie gehad! We

We have a bright, sunny fully contained one bedroom suite, with a 3 piece bathroom, full kitchen ( no dish washer), dining area and sitting area. There is wifi access and a TV with basic cable, Netflix, Spotify and others. A sliding doors opens onto a lovely private outdoor covered patio with a a dining table and seating. Share our back garden and fire table. The entrance to the suite is private with a key less entry and there is ample parking is onsite.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Walk to the beach in 3 minutes and enjoy the view from our property which is amazing. Spring is particularly beautiful time with all the colours of the blossoms. Various shops, restaurants, grocery store are just 1.6km away, so within walking distance. There are a number of wineries in the area, you will need a vehicle or you can go on a tour and let someone else do the driving. Victoria is 30 minutes away by car. Take the scenic Mill Bay/Brentwood Bay ferry over to the peninsula, to explore Saanich, Brentwood Bay and Sidney. The ferry departure is 7 minutes away by car.
