This was my first rental using this service, so I am adjusting my review accordingly. It was a learning experience on my side. The first day there she pointed out several things including stains on cabinets and door facings, dust on a blind and a window without a blind on it. Working in hospitality, I arranged for my cleaning service and maintenance person to come by to immediately fix the things she noted. She declined citing as an inconvenience. She then later asked for a discount based on the findings. As a service and being unable to investigate, I provided her a discount for the cleaning fee. That in and of itself is not a factor in my review. I deal with these types of issues in the workplace daily. What I did have issue with is the disregard for my property and posted house rules. • There was trash all in my back yard. • The decorative lights around my patio were damaged. • She did not observe my house rules regarding smoking. Although they did not smoke inside the home that I can tell, there were cigarette butts left all around the patio and yard of my property. • She did not observe the rules about guests/gatherings. This home is in a quiet neighborhood which is one of its draws. On two evenings of her visit, there were large gatherings. On the last night of her stay I had multiple complaints from neighbors regarding loud music. When contacted she told me there were a “few people over to celebrate her anniversary but the music wasn’t any louder than it has been”. Additionally, there were visitors parked on the street including in front of my neighbor’s house. • My back yard adjoins my neighbors on both sides without a physical barrier. At one point the children were shooting fireworks in both my yard and my neighbor’s. They also at one point were aiming these fireworks at the security camera on the side of my home. • The icing on the cake was when I discovered they allowed one of their guests to bring an ATV which they rode in my and, even worse, neighbor’s back yard.
