The eclectic lodge sits on 10 acres and is within 40 minutes from 3 ski resorts.

The Lodge is 25 minutes from Deep Creek, and offers 2 fireplaces, a gorgeous mountain views and a bonfire pit nestled in the forest. The 10 acres of land is private and peaceful. On the property you can fish in our little pond near the bonfire pit to catch bass and bluegill. There are 3 ski resorts nearby: Wisp, Timberline or Canaan Valley. There is also great whitewater rafting at the Cheat River or the Youghiogheny River. There are a few state parks nearby: Potomac State Forest or Blackwater Falls State Park just 30 minutes away. Also there are several lakes nearby if you have a boat: Deep Creek Lake, Mount Storm, Jennings Randolph Lake and Savage River Reservoir.

The house was great for our multi-generational group of 13. We gathered for Thanksgiving and appreciated having a second oven, a good amount of pantry space, great water pressure, and 2 large, comfortable living areas. The one thing we wished for (particularly with the short days this time of year) is a bit more lighting in the living spaces, especially upstairs. A logistical consideration for future renters with mobility issues: the house does require use of a staircase, as the kitchen is upstairs from the entry.

4th annual Men's trip

This our 4th annual men's trip and this house was a favorite for us. It was spacious, cozy, and we all left feeling as if we had gone away for a week. There were a few issues- tons of flies upon entry,but other than that I would definitely look forward to staying again in the future.

Great stay for a group of friends!

We stayed here to get together with some of our longtime friends! The property had everything we needed with so many places to relax and hang out! Beds were comfortable, plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably! The yard was giant and beautiful for looking at the stars each night! We loved the big fire pit and the giant deck and lower porch! We even got a later check out on Sunday since nobody was staying the next day. It was so, so nice so we didn’t have to rush in the morning packing up everything! Such a fun weekend and would love to come back!

Great house

This house was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and well taken care of. There is even a dollar game where each group that stays looks for a hidden dollar using clues in the guest book then when you find it you re-hide it and leave another clue. Definitely would recommend staying here if you're in need of a vacation rental in the area. L The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

Family reunion in WVA

My brother, sister and our respective families stayed in the cabin for the weekend. The cabin was clean, the grounds were great, we fished in the pond, had a campfire, used the video game systems and overall enjoyed ourselves.

Great Stay with Friends & Family

The property is huge! The little fire pit around the trees was a nice place to gather around besides being just in the house. The house was very clean, the lawn was maintained, and plenty of room for a gathering of 18 ppl. Everyone had a great time.

Beautiful quiet escape

The house was excellent. Just what we were looking for in a quiet weekend escape. The fore pit and the patio were amazing for sitting around and the deck had just outstanding views. The owners communication was great ans they everything you need in the house. Just bring food and good company!!!

Amazing views and just enough room!

I came here with several of my friends for a weekend retreat and I have to say the house is deceivingly big that had just enough room for everyone to feel comfortable. The campfire was a huge plus and the views were fantastic

Fantastic Cabin, Great Experience

Located in such a perfect place to hit several different Ski resorts. The house was updated, comfortable, and clean. We had our bachelor party there, and went skiing during the day. We had people with us from age 13 up to 43 and everyone had an absolute blast. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to that area. The home owner was very easy to communicate with and check in went super smooth. Thanks again!

Winter snow tube trip

We had a very nice time at this property. Right in the middle between Canaan Valley and Deep Creek Lake area. Only issue we had was a few lights did not work which made the upstairs living room seem a bit too dark and the upstairs fireplace did not work despite changing the batteries in both the remote and the receiver in the fireplace.

Perfect getaway for extended family

We had a lovely time at the house. The property and house were perfect- fully equipped for all ages. We thoroughly enjoyed the snow and use of the sleds and snowshoes. The Christmas decorations were an added bonus.
