Yurt in the heart of the mountains

The yurt is located on the grounds of the house where I live all year round on a beautiful mountain plateau overlooking the lake of Serre Ponçon, facing the Écrins National Park. The yurt is located on an isolated part of the land to the north of my home. It has a small piece of private garden that benefits from the shade of the house in the afternoon. My house includes two dwellings, so you will not be alone on my property.

It is important to note that the yurt has DRY TOILETS, and does not have WIFI (4G however works very well), these two elements must be taken into account. The yurt is a flexible structure, which reacts to the wind, sometimes the door has difficulty closing but we always manage to solve the problem if it arises: you have to talk to me.

The yurt is 28m2 and has a low mezzanine with net with a safety hatch to be handled by the parents. It is not strictly speaking a bedroom because it is not closed, the yurt is an open space.

This small accommodation with rustic charm is perfect for a couple or a family with small children.
The capacity is 5 beds, but I do not recommend this accommodation to a group of adults or a family with big children: the space is small and quickly feels cramped: a family with three small and medium children can be comfortable there.

If necessary, if you have a teenager, you can pitch a small tent next to the yurt so that everyone feels comfortable with their space...

Located on a mountain plateau in the heart of the Boscodon Forest, there are many accessible walks for children, even small ones, or hiking departures for the more experienced. The mountain village is located 15 minutes drive from Embrun and the Serre Ponçon lake.

In summer it is possible to find small streams to swim nearby.

The yurt is an open space and does not have a bedroom as such, it does have a mezzanine that can be closed to avoid accidents.
Children have access to it under the mandatory supervision of the parents, the manipulation of the trapdoor is done in the living room, so that parents manage the comings and goings of their little ones, the trap can only be handled by adults! (you are responsible in case of a fall)

The heating is thanks to the wood stove to be handled with great care. There is no barrier around the wood stove, so you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of your children and yourself.

Located 9 km above the village of Crots (about 15 minutes drive), access is via a very pretty mountain road as winding as it is splendid.

I do not provide sheets, nor household linen (dish towels, washcloths, bath towels and bath mats), make sure you have all the essentials.

To equip the beds:
the sofa bed as well as the double bed on the mezzanine are 190X140, two duvet covers are 200x200 and three pillowcases are 60x60 there is also a small bed on the mezzanine of 90x190 with duvet cover of 120x200

The cleaning at the end of stay is the responsibility of the tenants, the yurt must be made impeccable as when you arrived. Otherwise, the cleaning will be charged at 80€.

The yurt is a light habitat, a flexible structure that does not offer the same level of comfort as a permanent house. Please make sure you are comfortable with all the details mentioned above before making a reservation.
