Great Stay

We traveled to Mount Vernon for the eclipse. Creekside Cottage was the perfect place to stay. Exceptionally clean, nicely decorated, full kitchen appliances and private parking spot and deck . Owner answered any questions promptly, easy to check in and out with the lock on the door. We would highly recommend this cottage! Thanks for hosting us!

Nice, clean studio in town

Check in was super easy. This apartment has everything one needs for a short term stay or even a longer one. It was very clean and quiet. Its in town location made it easy to take a walk around if one desires. It was too cold to enjoy the deck but that would be great on summer nights.

Nice apartment; very quiet and comfortable

I highly recommend one of the properties offered by Angela for contractors. It's very conveniently located on the same road as many of the companies that use contractors in Mt. Vernon. The apartment is clean and all of the furnishings were new. Angela and her husband also own the adjoining laundromat and it is also clean, convenient and all of the machines work. Angela did a great job of communicating on my check in and she was always very friendly and helpful. The apartment has fast Wi-Fi which we travelers need. The water pressure was sufficient. There are two window heating/air units that work great. There is a full kitchen (no dishwasher) and the appliances are new. Very economical for the contractor or short stay employee. Fantastic experience; I can't recommend highly enough!

Very Private

Booked this for my brother for work. He had a assignment right in Mt. Vernon. He really loved the apartment. It had everything that you would need. But he especially liked the privacy of the property and the deck was absolutely great! He travels for work quite a bit and this is one of the best locations ever.

Best Rental in 40 years

Convenient Location, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. I especially enjoyed the deck. I can;t say enough about the whole experience. A pleasure to live here. I am sorry it ended so soon.

Great Place

The overall experience was great. Angela was always very polite and answered all my questions. She allowed me to put a hold on the apartment for the summer. It was a great place to live and very close to my work for summer. I had no issues with my stay at all. Highly recommend this place when staying in Mount Vernon. It is also really close to the Mount Vernon river walk, nice area to walk/run. Great place to stay!

Very new place, beautifully furnished and cleaned, behind the laundromat in Mt Vernon. Quiet, safe, a great find! I stayed 3 nights in April 2022 and will keep it in mind in the future. New cafe within walking distance has breakfast, bar across the street has other meals, but apartment has a full kitchen too. My apt also had a deck with outdoor BBQ, chairs and table and creekview. Loved it!

Business Travelers/Contractors' Suites

I stayed for several weeks at this property. It is in a quiet area just a few blocks from the court square with restaurants, stores, and activities within walking distance. This 1-bedroom apartment is also a few short blocks from the Ohio riverfront, which is a beautiful area to set and relax. It is convenient to several nearby employers and is a short drive to the larger city of Evansville. The apartment is brand new and nicely furnished. Wifi was quick, and there were no problems with streaming TV shows while working on my laptop. The TV is an Amazon TV, so if you want to watch local channels, you will need to consider a streaming platform. I used Hulu Live TV without any problems. Besides being quiet, my favorite part of the apartment was the beautiful deck outside the front door. There is a table, umbrella, and chairs, and I was able to spend time outside working on my laptop and still have good wifi connectivity. Angela, the owner, was wonderful to work with and very quick in responding to any questions I had regarding the apartment or area in general.

There are three apartments currently at our location. The fourth apartment is coming soon! Each apartment has its own entrance and parking. Please refer to the map for each location.
#1 is the North apartment. This unit is on the North side and has a large outdoor covered patio.
#2 is the South apartment. This unit is located in the main parking lot on the South side of the building .
#3 is the Creekside apartment. This unit is located on the West side of the building and has a 12 x 12 deck. You will have to drive thru our main parking lot to access the West side of the building for the entrance to this apartment.
#4 is Riverside apartment. Coming soon!

The Sudz N Stuff Laundromat has two entrances, one off Mill St and one off 2nd St. They offer wash and fold services and dry cleaning!
