The Highbanks is a 3 Bedroom 1.5 bath home that can sleep and feed up to 6 people.
Full breakfast is included! Serve yourself: Items included, but not limited to; Coffee, tea (decaf/reg),hot cocoa (kureig+ traditional pot), several kinds of cereal, waffles, pancakes, milk, juice, eggs, sausage, bread + more!
The Home has HEPA filter, and UV light air filtration, and laundry facilities on site with soap and detergent.
There's very large gravel driveway with plenty of parking for trucks+boats/trailers/RV's etc.
The Escanaba/Gladstone inter-city bicycle/walking path runs adjacent to property.
The front porch overlooks Little Bay De Noc on lake Michigan, with a fantastic sunrise view.
Several lake water access points are nearby, to launch kayaks, boats or snowmobiles.
Four bicycles (with locks) and two kayaks are included for use for touring/enjoying the local area!
This home has been freshly updated/renovated, it has a full shower/bath attached to master suite, with second half-bath on opposite side of home.
Use of fenced-in backyard, with doggy door and fire-pit are included Propane grill with gas included!
Firewood and chairs are provided! (please burn responsibily)
This property is PET FRIENDLY (within reason).
This space is "Green Friendly" (Medical/Recreational marijuana smoking IS allowed in the home), however tobacco smoking is only permitted outdoors.
Guests have access to driveway, entire ground floor of home, deck, front yard, and fenced in back yard.
Free Wi-Fi on site, Smart TV's in Living room, and two bedrooms.
This building is a Duplex, I reside in the upper level, with my two dogs (we normally stay to ourselves, but we are all very friendly!)
The High Banks property is located half-way between Escanaba, and Gladstone, MI. (7 minutes away from either one)
The Front deck of the property faces East for an excellent 180* view of lake Michigan, and the sunrise!
The property is within walking distance of the Freshwater Tavern/Terrace Bay Hotel, Biggby coffee, the barn on the bay ice cream parlor, as well as Bay view Bait & Tackle, +The Grain & Grape (convenience + liquor store). 4 bicycles with locks available for free for guests to use! also 2 kayaks (sit-in) (1 fishing, 1 general purpose) paddles and jackets included.

This house was above and beyond what we had expected. So clean, so well-organized, so nicely decorated (except for the mannequin - not a fan) and SO WELL STOCKED! Ohmygoodness! There was nothing a traveler might need that was not provided. And the breakfast options were plentiful - fresh eggs, fresh fruit, juice, cereals - it is self-serve, but all the kitchenware is also provided. I highly recommend Tony's High Banks! He lives upstairs, he was available if needed, but didn't barge in. It was a perfect stay!

We had a great stay. We were excited to stay as this home was owned by our family in the late 1950’s. The yard is huge for our dogs. Tony had everything you could need. I have rented many homes over the years and this was the best stocked. He even had dog dishes.

The house was perfect for our stay!! Very clean and the owner thought of every detail to make our stay perfect. He left a kitchen fully stocked for our breakfast needs. It was great to see that he is pet friendly! We highly recommend The High Banks!!

Tony creates a most welcoming space with a feeling of belonging and comfort, not to mention extremely clean. We loved all of the little touches that he provided. Such as board games and lots of knick knacks and the stories that go with them. We also appreciated all the care Tony took to explain where the various interesting elements of the decor came from. The fact that he also provided a well-stocked fridge and pantry is just icing on the cake! Best part of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunrise over Lake Michigan while enjoying our morning coffee! This is, by far, the best rental we have ever been in. Thank you Tony!!!

It was my first vacation rental experience. It may be the best I'll ever have! Every detail was thought of, from the kitchen and the food and drinks that came stocked to the towels yo the chargers next to the bed - all of which were very comfy. The decor was spectacular UP Cottage but also felt modern and functional. The front porch view off the master was very nice. I did not use the backyard but it had everything , fire pit, fish cleaning station, etc. I rode an old Schwinn cruiser which was one of 4 bikes that came with the property. The tires were new and it moved like a dream. Parking was ample. I did not get a chance to meet Tony and his pair of sweet dogs in person, but communication was awesome! I was sad to leave. Thank you Tony, I hope we can come back one day!!

We stayed for one night in July as we did a family roadtrip (including a dog) around Lake Michigan. This property was PERFECT! Spotless! Front porch with a view of Lake Michigan. Safe, quiet and welcoming just outside town location. The home decor was unique in the most special way! Details in every space. Absolutely everything you might need. The fridge/freezer and pantry were well stoked with items (waffles, eggs, juices- and so much more). The fenced backyard was PERFECT for our dog after a long day in the car. To play off leash securely was so needed. The owner left a book of house details and town notes which was super interesting and helpful. The only hiccup was with securing the keys at checkout and the owner responded immediately to our questions. Highly recommend!!!

Great property, very thoughtfully furnished. Kitchen wonderfully stocked with a lot of breakfast items including farm fresh eggs and sausages, which we enjoyed. Lots of helpful information about the house and nearby attractions. Only downside is the lack of a second shower stall, which could be inconvenient for a large family.

Great place in MI

Had a great stay, dogs loved having a fenced in back yard to run around in and sunning on the deck. Great view of Lake Michigan. It was in a convenient location and within driving distance to many places.

Excellent-highly recommend!!

Our stay at High Banks exceeded our expectations! The home is beautifully furnished and decorated. Immaculately clean. Plenty of room for us & our 4 legged family members. Everything we could need and then some. Our host Tony was very friendly and thoughtful. Wish we'd had more than 1 night here!

I wish I could keep this a secret

This place was amazing! The decor is beautiful down to every last detail. The mattresses were extremely comfortable. The well stocked kitchen was such a delight for our family. We will 100% stay here again, if we can find an opening!

Top notch

We stayed here one night only but wished we could move in!!! A lot of love and care was put into this beautifully updated lakeside place. We had anything and everything we could possibly need including handy bicycles to get around and a well stocked Kitchen for breakfast! The four of us friends have stayed in many VRBO’s and this one is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. Thank you Tony for a great experience on the last evening of our trip.
