This rustic Lake St. Catherine cottage with a nice dock and swimming area can be rented individually or with one of the two other cottages on the same property. This two-bedroom cottage features a living room and screened porch facing the lake. This cottage shares outdoor space with the other houses. It offers a large yard and is close to Cone's Point General Store and Mini Golf.

This vacation rental provides mattress pads, pillows, and a well-equipped kitchen.

This property uses lake water in the home; please bring your own water for drinking and cooking.
This property rents weekly from Saturday - Saturday Mid-Summer. Shorter stays may be available; please call our office for details.

The property is shut down for the season, beginning early to mid-October.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Comfortable enough, could easily be made much better

Good overall layout. We were visiting friends on Cones Point so did not need all the outdoor amenities which would be the main attraction of this property.

On the lake

Good weather, good fishing. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Nice bedding. Everything was fresh and clean inside. The outside was rough and needs some attention. When we saw the outside we were worried the inside was going to be bad but we’re pleasantly surprised that it was clean and fresh. Porch needed more attention. One window out which let moths and bugs in. I replaced it. Cleaned the porch outside and the outside furniture. Call me next year and I will get the place ready for you😎. We hope to be back next June!

Some things to be aware of.

This rental uses Vacasa. The result is you willhave a third party, impersonal, far away contact in the event of any problems. The cabin we rented was cute, adequate, but in Vermont at 45 degree night temps, telling us that heat wasnt included in amenities was unacceptable. We froze! Some dishes weren't clean and put away sloppy wet. The last guests left towels in the yard and trash in the firepit. No local person made any response to our contact to Vacasa. This is a second similar experience. Will not use a vacasa associated renral again.

Not that bad, but...

Okay cabin facing the inlet on the backside of the peninsula, close to the rural highway on the other side. The tap water comes from the lake. We were told that it cannot be used for drinking or cooking. Cabin is in fair shape--could use some TLC. Filled with clutter from previous guests or owner; not really set up for guests. WiFi connected to iPhone, but not to PC laptop despite extensive troubleshooting. Bring along an ethernet cable if you plan to work. Pots & pans were grimy--we had to clean. Carpeting in kitchen, which is odd--what happens if one spills milk? Lake bottom is silty and unimproved, so be prepared to go squish-squish.

Beautiful location!

Perfect getaway in Vermont. Would recommend removing area rug in living area ( musty odor). Beautiful old wood plank floors.. show off and eliminate wet feet in and out smell.

Had a great weekend!

We spent a 3 day weekend at this house and it was soooooo nice. The lake is beautiful and it's literally like 10 steps away from the backdoor of the cabin. There are kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for use and you're on a nice inlet that is safe even for not super confident kayakers. No dishwasher (it said there was one in the listing) but with four of us that was totally fine. Would recommend!

Cute and cozy, but bring an extra blanket!

The cottage is very cute and located right on the water. It is quirky and a little dated, but comfortable. Reminded me of my grandmas lake house. Optimal view of the Vermont fall colors. It got pretty cold at night and the space heater wasn’t quite enough. Wished we had brought an extra blanket. The house uses a septic system, which took a little getting used to. The vacation management company was great to work with and the app made the experience pretty seamless. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at this property or in one of their other properties again!!

Very unsatisfied person

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We cancelled our vacation about 3 weeks before we were coming because my sister needed open heart surgery. The people in charge said they would relist the rental as long as i signed the paper which i did. Then if it rented they would reimburse me all but 10 percent of my fee. They say they listed and it didn’t rent but i do not believe they even relisted it. The reason i think this is because I received the information on how to get into the house, how to use the wifi, and now a review on how i enjoyed my vacation. So if i am asked by anyone if i would suggest they rent from this company the answer would be no.

Reviewer Comments: It is an absolutely beautiful home and the view of the lake is breathtaking BUT...there are way too many stairs to get into the property and then to get down to the water. Definitely not handicap accessible.The home was immaculate and the amenities were very nice. The modern appliances made it very accommodating and it was very well supplied with necessities.

Great location

Bomoseen lake is very nice lake. Kids can kayak, fishing, and there is a boat rental place nearby. You can find tons of activities on the lake. The house is a little crowded for three families but we still had great time.

Paradise on Lake Bomoseen - sunsets FOREVER!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were lucky enough to escape the pandemic in the city and spend our fall/winter 2020/21 at “Luncove” on Lake Bomoseen. From the well appointed, spacious home to the never ending sunsets over the lake, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue to wait out the winter. Less than an hour from skiing and only 20 minutes from Rutland, it’s the perfect blend of convenience and solitude. The screened in covered porch was amazing and we enjoyed many fires (and s’mores) overlooking the lake. Just outside the door is a perfect walking loop for a morning stroll and all of the neighbors were so welcoming. The owners take pride in providing a home away from home. You won’t regret spending any time in any season here.

Everything is new and the detail in the house is gorgeous. Perfect location on the lake, quiet area with friendly neighbors. Would recommend this house to anyone that asks, and we are already planning our next trip back! The only thing I would note would be a lot of steps, we had a younger group, but if you struggle with stairs, just something to keep in mind. For us, it was perfect. The hosts are also very friendly and accommodating and involved in our experience.
