Welcome to the Red Fox Retreat! Our home is in the beloved Knights Hill Association neighborhood of idyllic Bridgton, Maine. Knights Hill is a wonderful, family-oriented community offering amenities which include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, a beautiful marina, and beach area on Moose Pond.

We are a true four-season vacation destination with something for everyone. Skiers and riders can enjoy a fun filled day/night on the slopes of Pleasant Mountain - located one-mile from our home. Downtown Bridgton offers many quaint shops and restaurants, an outdoor music pavilion, movie theater and library. Shoppers can also enjoy the Settlers Green outlets in North Conway, NH which are just a 30-minute drive away.

Guests of our home will enjoy the spacious yet cozy accommodations. Our main level offers one queen bedroom, a bunk room with two twin-over-twin bunk beds, and full bathroom. Off the kitchen, there is a relaxing screened season porch where you can sip your coffee while watching the sunrise. The kitchen, living room and dining room are truly open concept where everyone can spread out while remaining close together. There is a beautiful gas-powered wood stove for those chilly Maine nights. Upstairs is the master bedroom which offers a king-sized bed, large walk-in closet, and full bath. Our home has great Wi-Fi and there is a beautiful built-in workspace in the master bedroom. You can logoff and be on the slopes for night skiing in a matter of minutes! The true hang out spot is the loft game room offering ping-pong, foosball, and air hockey tables. On winter evenings in the loft, you can see the glow from Pleasant Mountain ski area in the distance.

Whether your group likes to do all the things or nothing at all, Red Fox Retreat will be the perfect vacation spot to suit your needs.

Happy renters

We just spent two and a half months having one of the best summers I can remember. Staying at Red Fox Retreat provided us with the opportunity to be close to family yet we were able to venture out to different venues in the beautiful state of Maine. Our hosts went above and beyond to provide us with all the amenities needed and were extremely responsive to any requests. We have nothing but high praises for these people and for their home.

Perfect winter family getaway

Spent a long weekend at this lovely home in February with our 4 kids and 2 dogs. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We brought most of our groceries and easily picked up a few additional items at the Hannafords only a short drive away. Great skiing and so close to Mount Pleasant. The kids (ages 13 -19) loved the game room. The dogs loved the frozen lake!

We'll be back!

This house is amazing. There's plenty of space to spread out and we had everything we needed, no surprises and the place was exceptionally clean. The added touch of a little Christmas tree was a nice surprise. Communication was strong with the owner and the location right next to Pleasant Mountain was perfect for the snowboarders! We were able to bring our dogs with us, that was a huge bonus for us. Looking forward to bringing the kids back in the summer to experience the lake.

Perfect Maine Stay

This was a perfect place to relax for a long weekend. Beautiful, clean, and a well-stocked kitchen with everything you may need. The neighborhood was very peaceful, yet close to grocery stores, Bridgton, and the Fryeburg Fair. Arrival and checkout was simple and easy. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home!

Clean, comfortable and relaxing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very quick to answer any question I had leading up to our vacation and everything was just as advertised (and better!) at the house. We loved the screened in porch for coffee in the mornings and found ourselves up in the game room at least once per day. The location was great. Lots of fun day trips - Story Land, Naples, N Conway, etc. but also enjoyed checking out the shops and restaurants right in downtown Bridgton. Would highly recommend considering a seaplane flight out of Naples - a highlight of our trip! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we’ll always look back on this year’s vacation with fond memories!

Maine memories!

Everything about our stay at the Red Fox Retreat was great. The booking process was seamless, communication with the property owner friendly and extremely helpful. The property is spacious, clean, and welcoming. It was perfect for our family of six-four adults, a toddler and baby. The weather wasn’t ideal for a summer stay but the house made up for it with a cozy screened in porch and huge open game room.

Our Happy Place

The Red Fox Retreat is a perfect location if you are looking to ski Pleasant Mountain. It is just minutes away. There's a lovely walk down to the beach area where you have amazing views of the mountain - it's gorgeous at night! The boys had so much fun playing ping pong and they loved having the large area upstairs to jump around and be kids. Shannon was a text message away and got back to me immediately with any questions. One idea might be to get a better outdoor grilling set-up for winter as it was hard to move the grill in and out of the garage, but we managed. Thank you for treating us as welcome guests not as strangers! We can't wait to come again! Thank you so much! Erica & Family

We recently spent a great week here with our adult children. We loved the location, 5 minute drive to Pleasant Mountain, and 10 minutes to downtown Bridgton. The house is extremely clean and Shannon was helpful with quick responses.

Columbus Day Weekend

So my husband and I have been going to the White Mountains for some plus 23 years and every trip has something new to add to our adventure. When we found the house in Bridgton, Maine on Vrbo we automatically fell in love with the house. It had everything we wanted like a fire pit, two bathrooms and we could bring our dog, plus one king and one queen size bed. Although we were about 25 minutes from Conway the driving did not faze us one bit. The house with the wood interior makes you feel like you are living in the mountains. The town of Bridgton was a very charming village and Moose Pond was crystal clear. The location of the house is ideal for walking and Moose Pond is very close. So when you have three perfect "FALL" days with brilliant foliage and clear skies., staying at the Bridgton makes the entire leaf peeping journey very special. Will certainly be back.

Absolutely amazing!

Great experience, from booking, flawless check in and check out. Everything was spotless when we arrived. The welcome book made for easy navigation on the lake front, and for local dining! The kids loved hanging out at the lake, and trying to bike up the big hill! Would absolutely do this again!

Wonderful accomodations

We had a wonderful time. The house is set up perfectly for a family. The game room area was used daily and is the perfect place to relax and play games as a family. The kayaks and paddle board were easy to get to and used often. The location is perfect with short drives to golf courses, beaches, outlet shopping, tubing and more. Our kids (ages17-25) all said it was the best family vacation yet. Thank you.

Fantastic house for a family stay.

Great house for all ages. Comfortable bedrooms and living areas. Fantastic kitchen. The loft room with ping pong, foosball and air hockey was a great area for kids and adults. All the additional amenities provided were greatly appreciated. Only negative is that we weren’t staying for 2 weeks. Will definitely look to rent again. Love the WiFi password!!

Great Property and Wonderful Location

The Red Fox Retreat was a wonderful vacation destination! The house was clean and had a number of fun amenities that kept us entertained when we weren’t out exploring the area. Access to the kayaks and paddle board made the time spent on the lake extra enjoyable. There were so many outdoor activities within a short drive that our main regret was that we didn’t stay longer. The hosts were great to communicate with and very responsive. Overall a great experience.

Perfect Moose Pond Family Vacation Home & Resort

Shannon & Joseph are the Best Super Hosts. Very easy to communicate with & answer all of your questions within seconds. Their Vacation Home is Amazing. The Decor is very homie & welcoming. They supplied everything possible in their home to make your vacation top notch. There is plenty of linen, towels, blankets, pillows, pool towels, paper products, toiletries. There is every ammentity that you can think of above and beyond any other home that I have rented in the past. Inside the home there is a huge game room with a Ping Pong Table, Air Hockey Table, Foosball, Board Games, Card Games & a professional Checker Game Table Set. This home is better than any top notch Timeshare. Outside the home there is a very comfortable Hammock, Adoronick Chairs, BBQ & a Fire Pit. There is a beautiful well furnished screened in back porch to have your morning coffee or evening Wine in. 2 Bonus Features are a huge 2 car garage & an extra Refrigerator/Freezer in the garage. There is one more bonus to this beautiful home, it is that these wonderful hosts allow your well behaved dogs in their home. My 2 dogs had the best Vacation of their life. Lots of places to walk your dogs, as well as dog friendly restaurants & boat rentals. The house is located on Moose Pond & has a wonderful Association with Swimming Pool, Kiddoe Pool, Tennis, Basketball Court, Volleyball, Beach, Marina, Kayaks, Canoes & Paddle Boards. This is really a hidden Gem! Thanks again for the best Vacation on Moose Pond! Can't wait to come back! Sharon from Boston!

Perfect getaway…

Red Fox Retreat was such a convenient and comfortable homebase for our ski week. In addition to location, the wonderful layout including game room, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds allowed us to relax and unwind together. Check-in & out and communication was seamless. We had a blast!

Great getaway

Our family enjoyed this rental. We enjoyed skiing at Shawnee, and all the comforts of home. Shannon was so wonderful and accommodating when we had to make a last minute change to our reservation. This rental was well Cared for. We appreciated the nice pots and pans and comfortable bedding. The kids and adults loved the game room.

Hello from your Red Fox hosts - the K Family! We are a young, active family from Suburban Boston with two growing boys and our faithful companions Zeina and Retter. When we're not at the hockey rink or on the baseball field, we stay active with hobbies such as fishing, biking, paddle boarding, and golf.

The Red Fox Retreat is our family's pride and joy. We have poured our heart and soul into every inch of this home. Knights Hill has been our family's happy place for a number of years. We love to fish, kayak, paddleboard, swim, shop, rest, relax, walk our dogs, ride our bikes, catch frogs, eat s'mores, listen to good music, and take in all that Bridgton and beautiful Western Maine has to offer. It is truly a special place, especially for busy families and weary workers who want to recharge their battery, reconnect with their loved ones and retreat from the daily hustle of life.
