A Step Back in Time is our newest listing. We bought this house in 1999, is a 117 year old home in the heart of Thayer, Missouri. Antique home has 3 bedrooms and one bath. Come make yourself at home.

We really liked the house overall — it had plenty of space for the four of us, and we appreciated having room to spread out comfortably.That said, when we first arrived there was a noticeable odor, and we saw quite a few plug-ins around the house. We also came across a few bugs in one of the rooms. While these issues didn’t ruin our stay, they did stand out.With a little attention to those details, this property could be an even better place to stay.The host was very polite and cordial. When we checked out I brought these details to his attention and he was very appreciative of the feed back.

Super cool house! We had a wonderful stay. For over 100 years old she got good bones. We never use our dining table at home but we had family dinner around the dining room table. It was just Casey’s pizza but family dinner nonetheless. Bed were comfortable. Just all around a very nice old house!

Excellent stay

Very comfortable stay. The home is roomy and well equiped with all kitchen necessities. It is well decorated in vintage furnishings. No complaints at all! Would definitely stay here again.

Step back in time

Lovely home- just needs a thorough cleaning of upstairs bedrooms and laundry room. Too many cobwebs. Very accommodating and comfortable! Wish it had a bathroom upstairs!

Vintage Quaint House

We really enjoyed our stay here. Homeowner was wonderful communicating with us. House was clean and the antiques were a cool added touch! If we are in the area we will definitely stay again!

Relaxation

The front porch! Quiet neighborhood, and perfect spot for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. The property is very charming, and everything you need is there. It feels like home when you walk in. Thayer is a nice, very small community and essential stores are just down the street. The host is very responsive, and nearby in case you need something.

Great house, great experience!

The owner communicated ahead of time accurately and was very responsive throughout the stay. The house was perfect, beds were comfortable, plenty of towels etc. furnishings were great, really made it feel like home. The instructions for the house were easy to understand and easy to follow. I have more work to do in the area and I will definitely use them again.

Perfect home for comfort, peace and tranquility

Robert was a most accommodating and gracious host. I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely comfortable home away from home. I have relatives in the area and I have visited the area my whole life. It was so nice to be able to come there at the end of the day and feel so at home. Very clean and well kept older home. I highly recommend booking this home, if ever in the area. I look forward to knowing I have this option with my next visit. Sandie
