This absolutely dreamy lakefront/view property on picturesque Big Springs Road sleeps up to 15 guests. Take in the lake and cove views from the deck and beach, or take a sunset cruise on beautiful Lake Almanor. This home is recently remodeled and redesigned. It is bursting with room for everyone. It includes a wet bar, a large deck with BBQ grill, dock, mooring ball, and lots of outdoor space. Three paddle boards, kayaks and other water toys are also included. This property has everything you need to enjoy Lake Almanor in luxury, comfort and style. This is one of two homes that sit on this property; an upper home and a lower home. The upper home is the one listed on VRBO. The upper home sits at the top portion of this lakefront lot, and the other at the lower part of the lot. You are at lakes edge and on the beach in seconds after a short walk down the driveway and pavered steps. Beautiful Lake Almanor water levels can fluctuate each year based on the snow pack at higher elevations. Our dock is typically kept accessible by boat from early May to Mid-October.

Parking wasn’t great. We had to purchase remotes batteries for the living room TV. Rooms were clean. Nice dock for our boat.

Our large family had a great time! Nice to have such great access to the beach and be abie to keep the boat right there. Kitchen on the small side. Beds were quite comfortable and the owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the tv. Would rent again!

Great time on Lake Almanor. The house was great for access to the water and being able to keep the boat in the water. The bunk room downstairs was awesome for the teenagers.

LOVE this place.

Perfect get away for family’s or friends. It was far and beyond our expectations. Dined in all 3 nights and ate on the deck. Kayaked … water was great. Thank you John!

Family vacation

We had such a great time at Lake Almanor! The house was perfect for our family and John was so responsive and checked in with us to make sure everything was great! We will definitely be going back!

4 generations at the lake

We rented this property for a wedding celebration and had great grandparents, grandparents, parents and kids. The location at the lake was fantastic and it was also close to Bailey Creek golf course. Our only frustration was that the staircase to the basement was very difficult for older people and small children.

Family reunion

Very nice house with lots of room. Several toys. Access to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone loved the downstairs video game.

5 Star Rental All The Way!

We got lucky and were able to book this amazing home for the 4th of July weekend. It was a great location on the lake. The house was only a 10 minute drive to the quaint town of Chester. The pictures of the home do not do it justice. It is so cute and the kids loved the downstairs "bunk house". The views from the back porch were very pretty and being able to use the dock and play in the water was so much fun for us and the kids. We highly recommend this home.

Great Family Vacation

This was our first time at Lake Almanor, and it was perfect! We did our first full family vacation! My husband and I, our youngest (8), oldest (21) her husband (26) and four grandbabies (6,5,2,6m)! The house was perfect! The downstairs was perfect for the kids! The built in beds were so fun for them, and had little touches like a dimmable lantern for a night light! There was space for them to run around, and they loved the multi-arcade game, as did my son-in-law. There is a small room down there with a queen bed, that my daughter and husband used, just to be closer to the kids at night. The spiral staircase is very steep, but even the 2 year old walked them just fine. There is a babygate at the stairs for safety! The main floor was a good family space. Dining table was big enough to fit all of us and the kitchen was stocked with anything we needed! Main bedroom was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable! We used the uostairs bathrrom to shower but did not sleep there. It was the hotest area in the house but still beautifully done. Bathers are very nice as well and water pressure was great. The deck was nice with beautiful views. Nice table to eat and and outside furniture around the fire-pit. I sat out there every morning with my coffe and drinking mimosas! The lake was great. Sandy area the kids could play in, with supplied toys! The dock was nice and great for the kids to jump off of. The hosts are fantastic. Very responsive and accommodating. Definitely recommen

Great Family Vacation!

We had the best family trip here. The house was great and location right on the lake. They had a private beach and a lot of water toys for all ages. We were able to rent a pontoon boat a couple of miles away for one day. Great outdoor deck with a grill, fire pit and table. We highly recommend it - we had our whole family of 12 there!

Lake Almanor does not disappoint!

Great location for anglers and families. Super easy access to lake and a great outdoor gas fire pit on the deck to share fishing stories. John and his wife were awesome host.

Lovely spot

We had a wonderful rainy Labor Day weekend. We had 13 people. 10 adults two teenager and and 1 11 year old. Kids loved the vintage video game! It was raining and super chilly but we enjoyed the easy lake access! We hope to come back next summer. We cooked a ton. Kitchen was small but had most things we needed. If you are a serious cook bring some basics! House was tight because we were all inside but when the rain stopped and we were able to get outside it was perfect!

Great cabin and loca

We had a wonderful family reunion at this cabin. There was some noise and dust from construction on the first day only, but the owner resolved them immediately and the rest of the week was perfect. The lake access was good. We especially enjoyed the two kayaks and two paddle boards that were included!

Our best lake experience so far!

This house was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. Access to the lake was very good (kind of a difficult walk down to the water, but it looks like the owners are planning to put in a better walkway), and the availability of 2 kayaks and a pedal boat and a big floaty in the cove was great. It was nice to have the sandy beach and chairs down by the water. Restaurants, groceries, and a marina with boat rentals was just minutes away. We also biked on the nearby Lake Almanor Recreation Trail, which was delightful. We even discovered that a hospital with an ER was available just minutes away in Chester! The only downside was that there is not much of a lake view from the house itself, but the cove with sandy beach made up for it. The house was beautifully furnished and decorated. The kids loved the game table and bunk bed room. A wonderful time was had by all!

Loved the beach house

A few minor things but told the owner about it….wasn’t aware of the construction going on next door! Dusty and noisy a couple days! Go on vacation for peace and quiet but bobcat etc started working at 6:30 am! We really enjoyed being with our family from Texas to Napa to Redding to Salem….. needed 2 places … we would have liked being together but….26 is a big party!

Welcoming and wonderful

We love the slower pace and natural beauty of Lake Almanor and our stay in this neighborly cove did not disappoint. The owners were welcoming, responsive, and generous which made us feel more than comfortable sharing a lot, dock and lake access with them. Plenty of space for 2 families of 5 with room to spare. We enjoyed great meals from the local restaurants as well. We will be back!

Beachfront Property with comfortable accommodations.

Perfect location. Beachfront property, close to gas, store, golf course and restaurants The basement game room was perfect for the kids. Full bathrooms on all three floors was very nice for family. No issues with the home at all, just had to relax and have fun.

They believe Lake Almanor provides the perfect mix of remote wilderness, wildlife, outdoor recreation and local charm.

This beautiful lake house is situated on "Moose Cove". This unique location provides beautiful lake views, lake access, a beach, mooring balls, a dock (lake level dependent) and protection from the wind on those occasions when it kicks up. During the summer months the cove offers an amazing coarse sand/small pebble beach. During the winter it offers a large flat snowy playground. The Hamilton Branch private boat launch and picnic area are both minutes down the road. This home has a large deck with a BBQ and ample patio furniture for dining or just sitting and taking in the scenery. Your hosts have also provided the highest quality mattresses for your sleeping comfort.
