This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home is secluded on nine forested acres, yet close to the charming towns of Occidental and Freestone. Nestled atop the Sonoma Coast Hills, this spacious Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home offers a soothing reprieve in which to rejuvenate and refresh.

Amble through the multiple fairy circles (stands of old growth redwood trees), swim in the solar-heated pool, relax in the hot tub, play half-court basketball, or set up the croquet wickets. There is a BBQ area and hammocks in the redwood groves. Indoors a private sauna and yoga studio await. Nearby massage offerings are available on call, and Osmosis Spa is a mere 3 min away.

A well-distributed one story house, Forest Ridge is all about natural light and communion with nature. Custom-built in 1975 out of redwood and glass, this architectural gem includes three living areas, formal dining, casual dining, and an impeccably remodeled kitchen.

Outside, the solar heated in-ground pool, half basketball court, BBQ, hammocks, and variety of seating and dining areas make it hard to decide – inside or outside?

This is a country home located between Occidental and Freestone in beautiful West County.

PLEASE NOTE... As per new Sonoma County regulations effective June 2023, we are prohibited from having any kind of outdoor burning or fireworks.
Due to recent fires in our beautiful area this regulation is enforced to protect the public health and welfare of our community.

Great Place in Sonoma County

Friends and I rented this amazing property in Sonoma County for a birthday wine tour. The place was very clean and well-stocked. There is plenty of room to spread out and the host responded immediately when we had a question. I will stay here again if ever in the area.

Great family vacation

This house is beautiful and spacious. You feel the amazing outdoor from every room of the house. The kitchen is well equipped and huge so all family can cook together. We would love to come back. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Rented this property for a girls wine country getaway weekend. The house is nested inside redwoods, in a wonderful location. All rooms are comfortable and the house is spacious, welcoming and clean. We loved it.

Great stay in Sebastopol/Occidental

Forest Ridge worked out great for our group. The house is really spacious, the hot tub/pool/sauna/yoga room were all nice to have, and there are multiple places to relax in the house. It was under a 15 minute drive to downtown Sebastopol so it was convenient enough for our needs, but also felt "retreaty" and in nature.

The grounds are lovely -especially the redwoods. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed. The large kitchen made feeding the whole family easy! Equidistant from beach and town - this made for a relaxing retreat. Thanks!

Outstanding property

This property exceeded our expectations! The grounds are private, beautiful and well maintained. The house is very large and accommodated our group very well. The kitchen is well appointed (so important!) and the bedding was excellent - not always the case on a rental. This is a gorgeous house and we look forward to staying again.

Spacious home amongst redwood forest

Everything about this property was spacious, from the several living spaces to the kitchen and bedrooms, to the yard with large pool and redwood grove. Very comfortable stay amongst a group of friends. The home was well stocked (kitchen, games, towels, sheets, etc). Thanks to the many windows and sliding doors, even when indoors you experienced the beauty of the yard.

Stunning Spacious Home

Absolutely loved this gorgeous home in the redwoods. I booked this house to bring family and friends together for my husband's birthday and it was the heart of the celebration. Every bedroom and living space is thoughtfully laid out, very private, and much bigger than it needs to be. The yoga studio was the perfect play space for our young kids. The weather wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the beautiful pool, but we were able to take advantage of the hot tub. We especially enjoyed the morning light beams shining through the trees every morning. The location is very rural feeling but just minutes to town. Easy drive 20 min to the ocean, 20 min to float Russian River, and very accessible to wineries. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful getaway among tall trees

Wonderful place for our family to gather for the holidays. Well-appointed kitchen great for cooking for a group and a large dining table around which to gather. We ended each night playing games in the cozy living room. All of the amenities matched or exceeded our expectations! We’re definitely considering renting again.
