There were eight of us staying at the property. The furniture is very sparse, old, stained, and or broken. There is very little glassware and cutlery. On my first evening there, I had to eat my steak dinner with a spoon. There were only wine glasses and coffee cups, no other kind of glassware. Only 4 outside chairs, no patio table, except for a small, fold-up table. The hot tub had not been cleaned in a long time, so we could not use it. This is our 8 year of renting VRBOs all over BC and Alberta, and it was the worst experience to date. Especially for the money they charge, I would expect more. Do Not Book! the attached image sums it up.

The property is quite nice, though quite overgrown since the photos were taken. The dock is no longer in place, though there are photos of it in the listing. The property did not have enough of the following items: cups, forks/knives and outdoor chairs for the number of guests that the property sleeps. Overall we did enjoy our stay!

It needs lots of repair. Outlets don't work, toilet doesn't flush, mold growing on ceiling of shower, hot tub doesn't work, windows need repair, 3 of the beds are awful with steel bars running under them. Need light in shower and the driveway is in need of repair. If this property doesn't recieve repairs there will be snow drifts across the floors as window is broken in kitchen. It was clean and washer and dryer worked well, the location was wonderful, enjoyed ghost lake and the beautiful wild flowers & wild life.
This is a hot tub that can't be used because you would not get cover back on.

Great location but property needs attention

This home is in a wonderful location but has seen better days. We were very disappointed to have arrived to a poorly stocked kitchen with dirty dishes that were put away in the cupboards and drawers, and old pots and pans with non-stick surfaces full of damage and scratches. There is black mould on the ceiling of the basement shower and glass in windows and doors repaired with tape. The kitchen has an adequate supply of wine glasses and mugs, but only one water glass. We came to stay with a party of 9 people and there were only 6 bath towels, two hand towels, and one kitchen towel provided and not even enough forks for all. On a hot day the kitchen is 35 degrees with full sun because it has beautiful, huge south facing windows but no window coverings. So eating supper in that kitchen required hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Finally, although the description and photos imply there is an outdoor table and chairs on the deck there is not.

Canada Vacation

The house was in a perfect location; half way between Calgary and Banff. Ghost lake was beautiful and we swam daily. The wildlife around house was awesome!!

Family Wedding 2023

This property met the needs of our family very well. There was ample room for everyone and the multiple bathrooms made getting ready to attend a wedding easy. The property is starting to show wear and should be taken care of as the issues arise. There is some wall damage that hasnt been fixed. Outside lighting that has been removed but wires still hanging. Hot tub cover is in pretty rough shape. None of these things impacted our stay but were a surprise at such a nice place. Was quite disappointed in the cleaning, beds and bathrooms were great, however windows were awful and the white doors and furniture were grubby in high traffic areas. There was some stuff that should be there - iron, ironing board, dish towels, drinking glasses, more table cutlery, sleeps 14 but had towels for 6, and alarm code and password were not provided until we had an alarm. Really would love to give this a better overall rating and recommend this place, but it does have a few issues, that can be easily remedied. We would totally rent this place again.

Lovely base for Banff

A lovely location w responsive host. A great base for seeing the area. One of the beds lacked cushioning so we made do with the others but overall accommodated our party of 12. We could not find the sofa bed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the wildlife in back yard. It was just a few steps to the lake from the great fire ring. Showers could have been cleaner, noted a bit of mold. The house had seen a lot of visitors prior to our party and we let the host know of damage we found. We appreciated the use of the property.

Wrong Address

I would rate the property as 10 plus absolutely gorgeous. A couple of minor things like would have helped liked towels and tee towels, a shovel , wood and we couldn't find the bedding. but the most difficult part of the trip was that we were in Cochrane and put in the address given to us which took us an hour away form the property ended up on dangerous roads in the middle of nowhere. We were surprised where the gps was taking us but we didn't know where we were going as we hadnt been there before., and sometimes location addresses might be Ghost lake but the property could be somewhere else. It6 was very distressing and took a lot of time off of our time at the beautiful property . All of us are over 60 and one person has recently had a a heart attack. This confusion stressed everyone. I would like for us to be compensated for this in some way. We left the property in pristine condition, I appreciate that i was given all the information I aske for by Leanne and Jason was also helpful but this was not great o be taken to the wrong place .on deeply snow covered mountain rd. Please let me know.. With appreciation and trepidation Shawn Hohendorff

Great location and wonderful views. There is a BBQ grill - if you plan to use it you are expected to bring your own propane. We had a group of 13....but only 2 towels provided per bathroom (6 towels). The kitchen didn't have any tea towels for drying dishes. I'd rate the venue at 3.5.

Calaway getaway

Beautiful location along the river. And only a half hour from Calaway park. The hot tub was clean and nice to get back to after a long hot day. House was a little too warm, but the basement had lots of room and was cool.

Beautiful Private Location with Lakeview

Beautiful property with hot tub, giant firepit, lakeview and responsive hosts. Nine of us stayed here for a girl's weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The layout is very spacious with lots of light and the property was private and easy to get to. The basement is a bit of an odd use of space and could use some cozying-up. Overall, we had a positive experience and would stay here again.
