This beautiful, quaint cottage-style home is located 25 minutes from La Fortuna offering tranquility and privacy away from hustle and bustle. It sits on a vast property that overlooks well-maintained gardens, exotic trees and a pristine river. It’s perfect for birdwatchers, photographers and those who would like to vacation with independence, privacy and tranquility of nature. Some of our favourite parts about our home is watching the toucans forage for food in the morning.

Aguas termales de Baldi y Aguas termales Los Lagos son excelentes opciones para los que buscan unas vacaciones activas, pero si prefieres sumergirte en la naturaleza, Cascada La Fortuna y Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal son lo que necesitas. Arenal Adventure World (parque ecológico) y Puentes Colgantes del Arenal también merecen la pena. Aillem was very welcoming, very knowledge about the area, and gave us suggestions on where locals shop. She also helped us order our first pizza dinner that was delivered. It was delicious! This was a huge help traveling with young children (6 & 8 years old)We got to admire her gardens, saw toucans off the deck.We would definitely stay with Aillem again!

Great spot in the arenal area

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is as described in the listing. It’s about a 20 minute drive to La Fortuna which wasn’t too bad. We would stay here again!

Second visit to Forest Flame Cabin

Our second visit to this cabin, we like that it is outside La Fortuna, quiet, and clean. It is a beautiful property with a great onsite grounds keeper, our friend, Efrain, who was another reason for our return. We enjoyed coffee and birdwatching from the back porch.

Relaxing

This is a very nice, clean place to relax and enjoy nature. This is my second time in Costa Rica and second time at this home, that is how much my wife and I like it.

Wonderful place to stay

We were looking to spend a week or more somewhere in the countryside close to nature and we found exactly what we were looking for in this beautifully located cabin. Every day we spent there was wonderful. I especially enjoyed morning sitting in the balcony watching the splendid scenery and the birds in the distance. Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin. We hope to be back!

Piece of Heaven

If you are looking for something beautiful off the beaten path! This is your place. Our family of 5 loved it. Only about 20 minutes from all the tourist attractions. I would recommend eating at one of the many Sodas on your way back from La Fortuna. Also plenty of places to get groceries. Thank you so much for having us.

Relaxing stay

My family and I had a very nice, relaxing stay at Forest-Flame. The property was a bit secluded (in a good way) but close enough to many of the activities that one would want to do in the La Fortuna/Arenal area. We were easily able to do ATV, canyoning, coffee/chocolate, and hot springs, to name a few. Our host, Aillem, was a great communicator and easy to work with throughout.

Awesome Property

Pictures don't do this property justice. It was super clean and very well maintained. The location was exactly what we were looking for - very quiet and secluded but a short drive to many things. Aileen was very easy to work with and was very helpful with suggestions and recommendations to our questions. The property is beautifully maintained as well. We would definitely recommend this property.

Great clean home

It’s was a very comfortable stay. Home was extremely clean and comfortable. It’s is a little further from La Fortuna than indicated on the map and there is 2 houses next to each other, not just the 1. Didn’t bother us and we had a fantastic stay. Especially the rocking chairs on the back patio with the view made this fantastic! Also kitchen was well equipped. Thank you!

Super clean and well equipped

Everything looked like new, towels, sheets, appliances, etc. Well maintained, very clean and an awesome view. The entire family enjoyed having breakfast at the balcony. The owner was very helpful to provide all the information we needed. The house is about 25 min driving from La Fortuna downtown, which is not much if you plan to stay out visiting places the entire day, otherwise it could take a while to go back and forth from the house to some of the main attractions in the area.

Beautiful Peaceful Property

Our family of five stayed at the Forest Flame Cabin for 4 nights during our trip to Costa Rica. The house is beautiful and clean and set upon the most gorgeous, secluded property. Everything in the home seems fairly new.....bed linens, towels, kitchen utensils, etc are all nice quality. Although we mostly ate out at restaurants, the kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. We did experience a couple minor issues with hot water and electricity, but Aillem was amazing and made sure everything got taken care of right away. Efrain, the landscaper who stays on the property, was also very helpful. We wouldn't have known what to do when we lost power and he fixed everything. Our teen boys also loved his dog, Lobo, who hung out with us most evenings. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The wrap around balcony was great and we enjoyed sitting out in the mornings and evenings just listening to the sounds of nature. We would definitely stay here again.

Paradise

Situated on a quiet, peaceful country road, you arrive to an enchanted, beautifully landscaped tropical property with an amazing panaramic view of all that surrounds this private and safe space. The beautiful two bedroom house is well apportioned and has everything that you need with so much attention to detail, down to the romantic bottle of wine awaiting us. We enjoyed spending time on the veranda with the magnificient view and the sounds of life eminating from our surroundings. We also enjoyed walking the country road and coming upon the restaurant at Luna Nueva Lodge, not far away, where we had a lovely dinner. Most of our meals we were able to prepare in the well appointed kitchen. Even though we had become accustom to cold showers while in Costa Rica, we really enjoyed the hot shower here. Aillem, our host was extremely accomidating and made sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. La Fortuna, with all its attractions, is only about 15 or 20 minutes away. If you are looking for a romantic hideaway not far from all the actrivities of the surrounding area, this is the place. Thank you Aillem for providing us with such a beautiful and enchanting experience. Much Love

Great property

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely home. It’s approximately 20 minutes outside La Fortuna, in its own quiet paradise. Our children loved running around the property playing with Lobo. Very nice upgrades and attention to detail. We would definetly stay here again.

An oasis from the crowds

The property and house are both unique and beautiful. Great views, lots of birds and the grounds keeper made this stay special. The well appointed house included such things as good quality small appliances, nice dishes, utensils and so forth with seasoning, spices and coffee filters. The towels, bedding and beds were good quality and comfortable. Lots of unexpected added touches. It is 20-30 minutes from La Fortuna but there is a grocery store 2 min down the road.

Amazing Cabin in the trees!

Our stay at Forest Flame Cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. We were close enough to enjoy La Fortuna but far enough away that we avoid crowds of tourists. It’s the perfect place to sit and listen to the sounds of the jungle while enjoying a drink on the deck. Our host Aillem was very attentive and ways always available. I can’t recommend this place enough!.
