Welcome to The Fenelon Place – your bluff-top getaway in historic downtown Dubuque, Iowa. Located near the iconic Fenelon Street Elevator, this spacious townhome offers views of downtown and the Mississippi River.

With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, it’s ideal for families or large groups. Gather in front of the cozy fireplace, cook meals in the modern kitchen, or step out onto the deck to take in views.

The Fenelon Place blends comfort, style, and location for an unforgettable stay.

*There is no grill at the home. There may have been one in the photos-but it has been removed due to safety issues.

There was plenty of space and the space was tastefully designed and decorated. The fireplace was warm and cozy. We had everything we needed and we had quick and easy to downtown and the riverfront areas. Also, our host was always quick to respond to inquiries.

Great location above the Cable Car… quiet neighborhood, great views, spacious place, clean, new feel, good beds, easy to use TV’s, great fridge and kitchen, open space for gathering along with sizable deck… We will be back for future gatherings in downtown Dubuque. Easy walk or cable car ride back and forth to heart of city.

Perfect for our group

This was the perfect place for our group. It was close to friends that could be our 'uber' for the weekend and close to the marina when we had to walk to our boat on Sunday. Would highly recommend!

Cleanliness

The house was nice but the cleanliness was not great. There were boogers and stains on the beds and walls in the kids room. Black hair or fur and dead bugs were found around the home, specifically on the couch and stairs. Beds looked like they had been slept in and not washed. The top bunk is mainly unusable if you have the ceiling fan on and has very poor lighting. The pillows were flat and also had stains on them. For the most part we enjoyed our stay but the cleanliness was not up to par.

Lovely house

Everything was good except one. More and more people these days have sensitivity to synthetic perfumes. That does not mean they only find a smell unpleasant, but that their immune system reacts and they feel sick to some degree. This was a big problem for us. I asked the host about perfumed things in the Vrbo before we went and he suggested I take my own bedding, which we did. It was not enough, the scent was in the mattress, headboard, etc. The towels were not as bad. The worst were the scented trash bags in the kitchen, which literally sent up a cloud of perfume every time the trash was opened, and the smell permeated even to upstairs. This definitely affected our stay.

Convenient & Nice

This home was perfect for our group of seven adults. It was very close to everything in Dubuque we needed. It was clean and the finishes were nice. We were also pleasantly surprised at how much space there was for all of us to spread out. The spaces are even bigger than the photos make them seem. All of us are seasoned travelers, and we were very happy with the set up. Thank you.

Brewfest at Five Flags

We loved the location and convenience of this property. The description was just as advertised and it was great for 4 couples staying there. Furnishings were more than adequate. Would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful place for family to stay

This is a much newer property than those surrounding it. It is modern, clean and well laid out. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. All bedrooms are roomy and have TVs. Great views from the living room, deck and upstair master BR. Wonderful gathering area on the main floor for the family. Love the location. The fourth street elevator was only about a block away, making downtown and the many things there walking distance. Only problem for us is it was shut down for the winter (11/30 to 4/1), Highly recommend.

Great Find!

We had rented a property near Galena only to have it cancel unexpectedly less than a month before Thanksgiving weekend. We found this place and it was a great find! It was clean, close to our event, and plenty spacious for the eight of us. The kitchen was nicely supplied with all the necessities to cook a meal. Would highly recommend this property to anyone needing a larger space for their family.

Weekend in Dubuque

What a great weekend in a beautiful home! We were a group of 10, ages 4-67, and it was the perfect spot for all of us! The house was so clean it practically sparkled, had everything you could possibly need and was was comfortable in every aspect! Our family was in 100% agreement that this was the best home we have ever vacationed in. We will definitely be back - one weekend was not enough to enjoy all that Dubuque has to offer! This home is the perfect place to stay if you are planning a trip to the Dubuque area!
