Come relax at the Lazy Turtle with your family, pets included. Enjoy our sun soaked living room. Sip coffee or wine on our deck while listening to the sound of waves from the Gulf across the street. Near to all the attractions of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy your own piece of paradise.

It has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths and is conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, parks and is across the street from the beach. Home offers nice furnishings, vaulted ceilings throughout and a charming beach décor. The living room is open and spacious with plentiful natural light. Windows with interior shutters that display the beautiful view with a door leading out to the spacious newly constructed deck. The kitchen has a breakfast bar that can seat 4 people plus a full dining area. The house has every kitchen item we could think of!

Comfortably Sleeps 8 (total) and has covered parking plus a nice sunny deck for your outdoor enjoyment. We even include a dog crate for your four legged family members and a high chair and Pack N Play (Please check all equipment before use, we provide this as a convenience only without acceptance of liability. We are unable to verify the condition of these items between guests.). Make this your vacation home away from home!

In addition, we provide a 'starter' supply of bath and hand soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dishwasher soap and garbage bags. Full linens and towels (including beach towels) are provided and a full size washer/dryer is conveniently located in the hall for your use.

Great location & comfortable home

Check-in process was very easy & communication with homeowner was great. Beds & living area were comfortable. It was extremely easy to walk across street for beach access & there’s an outdoor shower to get the sand off. The only issue we had was it seemed that the dishwasher wasn’t getting things clean, but we just hand washed & it was fine. Overall a great place to stay & would stay there again.

Girls getaway

Perfect place for our get away. Easy walk to beach. Would have been nice if there had been beach chairs and umbrellas for renters to use. Interior could use a little upkeep and furniture needs to be replaced.

Sibling Reunion

Every year my brothers and I get together for a few days. This year we chose Gulfshores as the destination. The house was great for 3 couples. The beds were all comfortable and there was ample seating in the living room and dining room. The kitchen had plenty of plates, cups, pans and utensils. I expected there to be spices or foil or bags, because in all the other houses I’ve rented these are items that are left in the house by previous guests. I’m not sure if no other guests left things or someone took them. Either way, if you plan on cooking with more than salt and pepper bring your own spices.

Family trip

The location was great and plenty of room to spread out. However, there could definitely be some updating. The recliner is completely torn up and doesn’t recline and it hurts to sit on because of the tears in the “leather.” Most of the dishes that were in the cabinets had dried food on them. We quickly realized the dishwasher does not get dishes clean. The outdoor shower did not work and the grill definitely could use replacing. We did love that there were fans in all the rooms. Overall it was a nice place, just needs some updates and maintenance

Thanks so much for the feedback. Replacing the recliner has been on the "to do" list since we purchaed the property in 2021...but this year we're making it happen. Hope you'll join us again.

The lazy turtle was just right

Short 3 min walk to the beach. The master bed was great. The spare rooms mattresses were not as comphy. No streaming on TV's unless you sign into your own accounts. Kitchen had all that you needed minus salt and pepper. Washer and dryer were fantastic. Plenty of seating. Sad the deck wasnt covered because it rained a bit every day. The property owner was super accommodating when i asked about a charcoal grill...she had one delivered the next day. 😊. Sad that there were no boogie boards or chairs or umbrellas for the beach left

Family vacation

This property was awesome! Everything was perfect. There were 6 adults, two kids, one fur baby and everyone loved the home. Enough room for all of us. The owner was accommodating and the extras were fantastic! Will definitely go again.

The location was perfect for the beach access!

Great experience overall. The place was ready earlier than expected and no issues with communication. Our access to the beach was great and the place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Enjoyable stay!

The property was in a great location and was very clean on the inside. The exterior was in mid renovation, but the host let us know up front and it was also very clean when we arrived, and no work was done during our stay. We also had our dog Champ with us and there was a kennel on site for us to use. Overall this was a great place to stay with great hosts, look forward to going back in the future!

We've vacationed in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach our entire lives. We knew we wanted to find a home away from home here but never found the right spot. We stayed at this property and never wanted to leave. We're thrilled to share it with seasonal renters.

We take special care of the property because we use it often as a family. We gave it a facelift in April 2022 for a fresh look for the summer season. Close enough to the action to enjoy all the amenities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach but far enough away from the crowds to spread out and enjoy the beach.
