Si está buscando una cabaña rústica y única para relajarse y recargar energías en un hermoso entorno de montaña, ¡la ha encontrado! Privado, pero conveniente para todo lo que High Country tiene para ofrecer. Ven y experimenta el encanto de una cabaña de troncos pionera "real". Disfrute del simple placer de la belleza de la naturaleza y de los primeros Estados Unidos agrupados en uno. Respira hondo, ahora ... ¡exhala!

Sleepy Creek está hecho de los registros de dos auténticas cabañas de troncos del siglo XIX (de Kentucky y West Virginia) que se volvieron a armar y unir para hacer que las vacaciones sean únicas y cómodas. Esta cabaña está construida con hermosos troncos antiguos de álamo tallado a mano y roble, maravillosa piedra, completa con un techo de cedro. Se encuentra en más de 4 acres de tierra boscosa con un hermoso arroyo que pasa por la cabaña a través de toda la superficie.

El interior cuenta con amplias habitaciones con (2) dormitorios y (2) baños. El maestro se encuentra en el piso principal (reina) y tiene un pequeño baño privado. Los pisos de tablones de nogal negro, los antiguos paneles de pino nudoso y la chimenea de bloque de piedra de jabón se mezclan con componentes más nuevos para preparar el escenario para este acogedor refugio. El segundo dormitorio abarca todo el piso de arriba (una cama doble y dos camas individuales) con techo abovedado y ventiladores de techo.

La cocina rústica estilo casa de campo está totalmente equipada, cuenta con todos los electrodomésticos nuevos, pero mantiene su encanto campestre con piezas de época, incluido un auténtico gabinete Hoosier de principios de siglo. También hay una sala de lavandería separada. Un segundo baño se encuentra abajo. Pero la mejor parte es el porche cubierto. Relájese con la vista del riachuelo muy ruidoso y los muchos colibríes que frecuentan la cabaña en el verano. No se olvide de disfrutar de un picnic o una siesta junto al arroyo: bancos, mesa de picnic y hamacas. Sleepy Creek ofrece el escenario perfecto para su relajación, comodidad y disfrute.

Charming, cozy, comfortable and clean. An absolute delight. The yard is lovely, the porch is a dream, the kitchen has all that is needed to cook a meal. The cabin is nicely furnished and filled with whimsically rustic touches. Loved it!

Serene with all the comforts of home
Sleepy Creek cabin was the perfect place for us to unwind and reset. It has the perfect mixture of seclusion while still being close enough to anything you need or want to explore. Inside and out , the property has thoughtful details making it comfortable with a touch of magical. The music from the creek was the cherry on top. A little Heaven on earth
The cabin was perfect. This was our second stay and it was great. The atmosphere is so peaceful. Love the sound of the creek. The cabin is so clean and it has everything you need.

Anniversary Trip/Sleepy Creek Log Cabin
What a beautiful log cabin and setting! We loved it from the moment we saw it through the trees as we drove in, and we were not disappointed when we walked in the door. We loved the rustic, cozy feeling throughout the house and enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the stream. The house was immaculate, well maintained, and well stocked. Highly recommend!

Anniversary Get Away Weekend
Sleepy Creek cabin was a wonderful 37th anniversary trip get away! Kathe was a wonderful host to work with and the cabin was impeccable stocked with everything a regular home would have. Extremely clean inside and the outside landscaping was beautiful to look at! We would highly recommend this cabin and plan on staying several more times in the future! Special time, special place!

Sleepy Creek Cabin
My husband and I have stayed in a lot of places in Virginia and North Carolina and I must say this has been my absolute favorite!! The cabin is rustic and charming just as pictured. The yard and landscaping is beautiful!!! The stream makes it even better! The location is great and is a short drive to West Jefferson. Kathe is a wonderful hostess and very responsive to your needs or questions. We will definitely stay again!

From the moment we arrived at this charming cabin nestled in the woods, we knew we were in for a treat. The best place to reset and spend time with family
We loved our stay. The home was impeccably clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you may need. It was still decorated for Christmas and absolutely beautiful. It was perfect to relax and spend time with our small kids. We were a quick drive into Boone or other towns around which had plenty to do and see when we wanted to get out and about. Kathe was super responsive and helpful. The guests before us broke her oven and she called us a day before check in to provide very reasonable options and explain that she was doing her absolute most to get it repaired before our arrival but give us the final option on what to do. She walked us through absolutely everything we could need to know upon our arrival via phone call and it helped us to settle in that much easier. If you are considering, just book it.

The perfect get-a-way
Hangout at the cabin and enjoy the beautiful scenery, hike all day, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and so many more choices. The cabin and overall property was perfection! We will certainly return for more vacation time.

Great Cabin and Location!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Everthing was super clean and tidy. All the amenities you could want in a stay away from home. Cabin is beautifully decorated and you feel so at home here. The property is so peaceful, the listing does not do it justice. You need to visit to experience the peace and tranquilty of this little piece of the mountains. We hiked everyday on a different trail in the surrounding parks and it was so nice to have this wonderful cabin with the creek to come home to. We had happy hr every evening down by the creek and will definately return again next year to discover more. Thank you Kathe for lending your cozy cabin for the week.

Sleepy Creek Cabin
Sleepy Creek Cabin was the perfect home away from home. We were greeted by beautiful landscaping and a babbling creek. The cabin showed the owners had anticipated all our needs and desires. The kitchen was equipped with everything required for meal preparation. Decorations throughout the cabin revealed an interest in period pieces. We had a fantastic week and look forward to returning.

Peaceful Getaway
Beautiful surroundings in a forest near a stream. Quiet and peaceful with an abundance of nature. The cabin was quaint and furnished with everything we needed. We loved the country roads and fields. Our weather was excellent. It was a great place to unwind and enjoy peace and quiet.

Best vacation in a long time
This house is wonderful. The property is just perfect. There’s a creek that runs in-front of the home and it provides a beautiful sound the moment you open the front door. This house is the perfect mix of rustic and comfort. Yes, you can connect to technology but our family likes to disconnect. Our dog played in the creek, we napped on the hammock and grilled out at night. The inside of this house is adorable. The decor is so homey and unique. We stayed in July and it’s hard to remember how cool the mountain air is, we barely needed the window AC units. I cooked a lot here too I was impressed with the cooking supplies- it was all there. Yes, this is a bit off the beaten path and that’s exactly what we were looking for. Not a bad drive to West Jefferson and Boone at all. We look forward to coming back in the winter. We loved it here.

Heaven on earth
This is our 6th year of vacationing at Sleepy Creek cabin. The cabin is well equipped, clean, and in a beautiful location; secluded, in the midst of trees, beside a stream, very quiet. Cool on the summertime. We were there the second week in July and temp didn’t reach 80. You can do nothing, or it’s close to several small towns, hiking, canoeing and other activities. Cabin owner very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Choosing the perfect vacation home is so incredibly difficult and personal. We knew we wanted to restore an antique log cabin, with all the trimmings that come along with the simple, unique craftsmanship of our early pioneer heritage. Twenty years of dreaming, off and on again searching, found us in what we believe is an incredibly beautiful section of the N.C. Mountains. Located in a quiet valley setting, with a cold noisy mountain stream to lull us to sleep, yet within convenient proximity to nearby towns, and Parkway access just a hop, skip and jump away - we were home! A few years, and a lot of hard work later, Sleepy Creek was created, and has become a very special place for us to unwind, enjoy simple pleasures, and make special memories with family and friends. We hope you will visit and enjoy the cabin and area as much as our family.
