Private Beach on Chesapeake Bay Near Lighthouse

Take it easy at this tranquil and cozy getaway, complete with the salt air, ocean breeze and beautiful bay views. Saint Salty on the Chesapeake Bay is the perfect retreat for you and plenty of friends and/or family to relax and have fun. Beautiful 4 BR/3 BA, including a fun bunk room plus an outdoor bathroom & shower with your own beach right outside your door. When you're inside, water views continue. We do charge a $15 fee per booking that goes directly to the Alliance for the Bay, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the Chesapeake Bay. We love it and know you will too, and hope you'll stay with us often.

Please note. This is a NO SMOKING property (neither inside nor outside). Violation will result in a $500 fee. Also, no events are allowed.

We could not have found a more suitable beachfront property. The home, no more than 50 feet from the beach, was spacious, well stocked with beach equipment and a fun place to stay for our family. A GREAT find.

The house was absolutely amazing! Plenty of room for everyone. The deck overlooking the bay was perfect for early morning coffee and evening dinners/drinks. The amenities we great. We had a blast on the paddle boards,the hot tub was great for early morning soaks, the kids enjoyed the kyacks and water mat. Would definitely recommend

Large, incredibly well-stocked house with fantastic beach and all the beach gear you could want! Even better than the pictures. Owner was great and even mailed something we left behind. Totally recommend this place!

This home was such a 10! The property was even bigger and more special than the VRBO description. Beautiful views , pretty interior and great amenities! The beaches and the Bay are magnificent….. right in the backyard! We look fwd to returning.

Great Location and a Private Beach

My family had a great reunion in this well-provisioned home. It had everything you could ask for. The location allowed the kids to play, boat, paddle, and swim while we watched from the covered patio. My family gave it a 10 as one of the best homes we've stayed in. Boat rentals are a mere 40 minutes away to enjoy the Rappahannock River for the day. Plenty of private beach to sit and play on. Friendly neighbors as well.

Beautiful Views

We had a great time at this house for a 60th birthday celebration. The house was very clean and well appointed. The rooms also had a ton of space. My 2 kids (5 and 2.5) loved the bunk room and all the toys as well a the sand toys. The beach was a nice short walk and it wasn't that far from town with restaurants. Overall it was a great time.

Excellent Beach Front Home

This beach home was spacious with easy access to the beach front on the Chesapeake Bay. The outdoor deck was large and had sufficient seating and large table to host outdoor meals. The home was nicely appointed with a beach theme and the location was very private and quiet. The beach area was Wonderfull for families with young children due to the small wave action, shallow water, and slight slope from the beach to the water. Additionally the owner supplies you with many beach toys such as kayaks, floats, and bicycles. I would highly recommend this rental and will use again in my future visits to the Chesapeake Bay. The owner put a lot of thought and personal touches into renters having a great stay in this home. It's a great location, nice beach area, the house was clean, very tasteful and fun. There were many amenities we took advantage of. The beach chairs were great, we used the kayaks available as well as the electric air pump for our inflatables, which was very handy. The bikes were great for touring the neighborhood. Our grandson enjoyed the outdoor swing. We loved getting up every morning and having coffee on the deck as we watched the sunrise. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy!

“Private” Beach- lovely home

We recently had a good experience at the beach home we rented. The house was comfortable and spacious, and we enjoyed the picturesque location. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, which made for a serene vacation experience. However, we did encounter a couple of issues that detracted from our experience. Firstly, the refrigerator handle was tapped and didn't seem to be intact. Secondly, the photos made the home appear more private than it was, while charming, there were neighbors pretty close by. Despite these concerns, we had a good time. Overall, we recommend this rental for a fun and relaxing vacation spot.

Spectacular home

This home is absolutely beautiful with spectacular sunrise views, an open floorplan for family gathering, natural bright lighting, and every thoughtful amenity (all linens provided, beach towels, washer dryer conveniently adjacent to the kitchen, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, bikes, a fire pit with firewood and hotdog sticks, gas grill). The bay is calm and our littles enjoyed finding hermit crabs along the breakers, walking out along the sand bars, and fishing/crabbing for blue crabs with the traps provided on property. Adults appreciated the large, well-appointed kitchen and options for eating indoors our out on the large deck with plenty of extra seating. Our youngest was delighted by the wooden train set, and everyone appreciated the board games (Monopoly one afternoon). This home surpassed all expectations, we felt welcomed, and Tracy responded quickly when we reported some minor home damage due to a storm during our stay. We appreciated her concern for our safety and genuine hospitality. What an idyllic vacation. Thank you for making this so carefree and memorable.
