Romantic Retreat

We had a lovely stay. Photos are accurate. There are two vineyards to visit close to the mazet. Check out the local Relais de Cézanne for a fab dinner. Already planning our next trip!

Fantastic! Relax and very warm

Very nice little house, all new and in the middle of the nature. Very calm and warm. We went with our 6 years old and we had a very nice stay. Very close from Aix-en-Provence. We will come back

Superb

Excellent location. Lovely building. Excellent host. Everything was perfect. The only thing I'd want different is a slightly bigger bed and two pillows, but that's just a personal preference and not something everyone would require.

very clean and nicely decorated house

Starting from reservation until the departure Manon was very professional and helpfull. The little house is very nicely decorated, is super new, clean and fully equipped. The location is quite close to Aix en Provence, yet you feel very relaxe when you have your breakfast in your little garden. In summary, we had a very pleasant stay and we strongly recommend Manon's place.

Beautiful little holiday home, relaxing outdoor space, cool inside, lovely owner

Brigitte was very welcoming and showed us around her lovely annexe - small but very well formed, great air conditioning, nice bathroom, comfy bed and an amazing outdoor area - private, ample seating (and laying), shaded, quiet. Great area with plenty to do within a few minutes drive. We walked up the mountain (the easy route) and it was well worth the effort. Aix is a lovely town, with good shops and plenty of lively restaurants. We had a lovely holiday here.

Quiet oasis away from the city

Very quiet retreat - excellent for couples that want a good night’s rest without the city noises and bustle. Groceries nearby, Aix is minutes away. *just a small note - contrary to the listing there are no washing machines - we had to go to a laundromat

Great experience

We had a very pleasant stay in this luxury 'mazet'. The property was immaculate and the facilities were excellent. We found Brigitte very helpful. In our few days we visited Cassis on the coast and climbed Mont Ventoux - both easily accessible from Le Tholonet. We would highly recommend this property to others.

Simply Perfect!

What a beautiful property! The décor is simple and tastefully done with everything you need. Very quiet, private and relaxing. Lavender surrounds and provides a lovely aroma. Perfect location for exploring Aix, and drive into town is like being in a Cezanne painting. Many thanks for a wonderful week, we will be back!

beautiful, quiet, lovely hostess !

My husband and i loved our stay in le tholonet. the owner is a designer and you can certainly see the beautiful taste she has applied to design of the cottages. Everything was clean and bright, the patio overlooked the lower part of the property, the air was perfumed with lavendar and honey, and our host was always on hand to make things easier, she even chauffered us into aix one day just to clarify the route! We'll return in the next year or two, we love it here so much! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!

Lovely gem of a tiny Provence apartment.

Super sweet place, tiny, but never cramped. Lovely appointments, decor is simple and tastefully done to suit most everyones style. Shower needs a hook to hold up the shower head, but otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing. Private garden area is lovely for dining and sitting in the evening sun with a glass of Rosé. Brigitte is very attentive and helpful, a great host. Plus the animals (cats and two dogs) from the main house (pictured with the purple flowers climbing wall in the post, but its not where guests stay) were a major plus, so friendly and a joy to be greeted by each morning. A lovely location.

Nice little house, a lot privacy, a bit too tiny and beautiful surroundings

Nice little house with good privacy, a little garden, but without a view on the landscape (surrounded by trees). Kitchen is okay, bed not too comfortable and the pillows are pricking. The house is rather dark, so you will need the garden outside. Everything is too tiny for the price. The house is difficult to find, also with a navigator. The number of the house (251) is not readable when you arrive in a car and the name of the house has the same lack of readability. Because of the nice weather, we had a fine stay, but we don't think we'll come back another time.

Great Place To Stay

My husband and I stayed here for one week in September '13 and loved it. Brigitte was very kind, friendly and readily available to answer all our questions. Although Brigitte spoke very little English, we all managed just fine. She even made sure someone who did speak English was available at our arrival. The property and amenities are all exactly as shown – no surprises :). Very private, clean, well maintained and contains everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again. And if you're worried about keeping in touch with business/family back home, the free wi-fi is blazingly fast (54 Kbps). The surrounding grounds are lovely and the location, although slightly off the main roads, was easy to find and very quiet which made our stay even better. Aix-en-Provence is a short drive away, as are many other major sites. Don't miss the drive along Mt Victoire road (D17)... it offers one of the most spectacular views you'll experience in Provence. Be sure to visit Cassis, a wonderful costal town, about 50 km south of Le Tholonet. You won't forget it.

Smaller than expected and shaded

We spent 2 weeks there. Smaller than expected. The living space..living room..bedroom.. kitchen and bedroom not much bigger than my double garage When booking in Jan specifically asked about sunshine time in garden. Was told South facing garden and sunny most of time. Unfortunately shaded most of time due to large coppiced four trunked tree in the way. When raised with owner some branches removed but didn't make a lot of difference. We were told to move the furniture around! You'll get some sun but no more. We chose to go to a nearby park to sunbathe which again wasn't ideal when you are paying for facilities Location is quite distant from main tourist haunts. Drive to property is a narrow single track lane. Great if you've got the rally spirit in you We normally spend a lot to find a large property with a a pool etc but no kids with us so downsized Next time we'll go large.

Un sitio muy recomendable. Apartamento muy cuidado, con terraza propia, barbacoa a gas, full equiped, muy cercano a Aix-en-Provence, buenas comunicaciones, decoración muy cuidada, para pareja (y perro). Dueños muy amables.

Schöner und ruhiger Ort in der Nähe von Aix en provence

Auf unserer Reise in den Süden von Frankreich wollten wir zu zweit einen ruhigen Ort finden, von dem wir Ausflüge, z.B. nach Aix-en-Provence, unternehmen konnten. Dafür war die Lage perfekt und unsere Vermieterin sehr hilfreich bei der Organisation unseres Aufenthalts.
