Emma responded promptly to our questions and comments. The unit was clean when we arrived, with everything in order. The complex itself was kept spotless by housekeeping and grounds staff. Security was completely effective. All employees were cheerful and friendly.

Hosts Emma and Walter were fantastic!Gated property, very secure,always a security guard at the entrance.Condo is super clean, living space is smallish but very comfortable.Rooftop patio was superb!New modern WalMart type grocery store (Soriana) around the block, very very nice!You have to walk around the block to get to it as you can only enter and exit the property from the gate.About a 10" walk.Bring bags,none provided.Plentiful taxis at Soriana,we met Daniel, our taxi driver for the month.He said I can share his #: 52 984 168 0993.Wonderful guy! Convenience store (Oxxo) about 10" walk other direction.Excellent WiFi.Smart TVs in LR and both BRs.10" taxi ride to downtown, always ask the charge, for us, it was 100 pesos one way. Plentiful taxis downtown too,walk a few blocks on 10th avenue, away from 5th ave, or the taxi charge will be expensive.Felt very safe there,food was incredible. El Pirata was great for seafood, not fancy but wonderful. Lola's rooftop was beautiful but expensive.Massages at Magic Hands were great! 75 usd for 2 people total (1 hour massage.Extension cord in the unit but bring a power strip as there are not many electrical outlets. Order pesos from your bank prior to arriving,but easy to get pesos from ATM at Soriana tho. Pools are beautiful, grounds clean, well kept. Bring floaties.Mattresses are super firm. Kitchen knives are dull, bring knife sharpener or your own. Very few pool lounge chairs.

Vacaciones en familia

Es segunda vez que me quedé en el departamento de Emma y Walter,ahora con mi familia y estuvo muy placentero!Esta muy tranquilo el fraccionamiento.Espero que próximo año este terminado construcción de supermercado de lado de fraccionamiento y así facilitar más la estancia.Sin duda alguna regresaremos pronto.

Family trip

The appartement and its environment are great. Other appartements in the buildings are also being rented for vacations, so you have relaxed neighbors coming to the pool, kids have kids to play with, the community pool is huge just as on the pictures. The area is calm, apparently there could be monkeys in the jungle visible from our windows :) but we did not get a chance to see them there. We walked to the beach with the kids 7 and 10. It is reasonable (20-30 minutes walk), but it is far to walk to the center, with 35-40C sunny day. So best is to use a car or bikes to go there. As a family we finally decided to rent a car, collectivos are very common and affordable but can be pretty full, and not easy to find enough room when a family of 4 or more. The appartement itself is perfect, comfortable beds, very well equipped to meet all your everyday life needs and above to feel on vacation. Emma and Walter were great hosts, super responsive, we are happy we found this place for our 2 weeks trip, we would definitely return there when we travel back to the area. Thanks again Emma, you made it easy for us !

Amazing apartment in a friendly, safe community

Spacious, clean, well equipped apartment. The community is friendly and it feels very secure. Shared pools were great - large and we'll maintained and were never overcrowded. The block are in an industrial area, so not great for walking around, but a quick drive to the local town and beaches. Hosts were really helpful! Thoroughly recommend for a relaxing escape.

Great place for family vacation

My family were very pleased to stay for vacation. Spacious master room, cozy living room with fully equipped kitchen. AC works perfect in every room. Beds are so comfortable with lots of pillows. The swimming pool is the bomb. It was huge and water is warm. Only little problem was weak water pressure in showering but it didn't really bother me. The place is not walking distance to the stores or restaurants. You might need to rent a car. Gated community condo with quite neighborhood. We will definitely book again.

Peaceful location close to Playa Carmen

Secure and relaxed property with fantastic pool only a few minutes from the tourist centre. Comfy apartment with all the washing and cooking facilities for our stay. Eating out most days with vast array of local restaurants. Convenient location for airport and Cancun.

Accommodations were great. Emma was a dear, very helpful and accommodating. The roof top area was a bonus. Loved it and would recommend. People in Mexico were very nice and polite. We walked and took the buses.

We loved it!

We loved staying at Lunamar. The condo was very very clean and in a safe, gated area. We loved having the swimming pools as well, so if the beaches had a lot of seaweed we could still enjoy the water. Emma is a great host and answered all my questions. I highly recommend staying here!

So many pluses!

The hosts have a comfortable, well kept property impressively decorated and enjoyable. Security was never a problem. The huge pool, one of three, was such a treat after a day of touring. . Lots of shade, or sun…your choice! Emma and Walter answered our questions without fail, promptly, and provided good advice and suggestions for places to eat, contacts for taxis, etc. the rooftop was a great place to relax with a morning coffee, meal, or unwind on a swing with a cool bev. There were many appliances available we didn’t use as we often decided to eat out. The only drawback to the property has more to do with the location and our personal preferences. As Emma suggests, and we knew ahead of time, a car or bicycles is best for getting around. We are walkers and as we both wanted a break from driving, we used taxis if we wanted to get further than walking distance. It can add up. But that being said, the location is not far off the main highway, the neighborhood is quiet, the gated community is well maintained, there are many corner stores, and a beach is close by. Plus, once you find a good taxi, you’ll want to use him or her again and again, which we did. Thanks to our hosts for helping make our stay so enjoyable, and affordable!

Perfect for longer stay & remote work

My husband and I spent a month here while I worked remotely. Our intent was to investigate whether we would like to purchase property in PDC; not really a total vacation. We found this was the perfect place to do this. The internet was OUTSTANDING. I had no issues with any work requirements. It was quiet and the beds are awesome and comfortable. Emma and Walter were super communicative & helpful throughout our stay. The rooftop terrace area was amazing. We ate there almost every day. Do keep in mind that the staircase to it is no joke. It was definitely manageable but would be difficult if you have mobility issues or young unruly children. Also, I appreciated the quiet nature of the location, but know that it is a bit away from the town hub. We easily figured out the public transportation system but if you don't want to do that, plan accordingly. You could absolutely and easily walk to 2 lovely beaches from here. The pool was fabulous, and we got to know many other people in the complex. We felt like it was a little community away from home & would definitely come again.

Departamento esta muy bonito y acojedor,limpio,luminoso y equipado con todo lo necesario.Las camas están muy cómodas.Tiene sillas y toallas para la playa.Condominio muy tranquilo y seguro,tiene alberca muy grande.Personal de vigilancia muy amable.Emma y Walter siempre estaban al pendiente.Unico detalle que presión de agua en las regaderas esta baja.Sin duda regresaré!

This place is fantastic

This is a fantastic place, the apartment is very spacious, very clean, has everything you could ever imagine needing and the private rooftop terrace is just so amazing. The pool of the property is about the longest I've ever seen and it is located in a gated community. I stayed for 3 weeks and did a few days of working from there, it has about the fastest internet in Mexico (speedtest.net measured 100MBit down/20 up, low latency) and a good dinner table that can function as a desk. Emma and Walter are taking great care of the property and will quickly answer any questions you might have. The location of the property is not directly in the center but it's in walking distance to a public beach access and the center of Playa is just a short taxi ride away. I also walked into town and back several times. Would go again 100%. Thanks Emma and Walter!

Apartamento súper recomendable y muy completo

Somos un matrimonio con 2 niñas. Nuestra experiencia en este apartamento ha superado nuestras expectativas. A todo lo que se ve en las fotos, hay que agregarle que tiene todo lo necesario para disfrutar tanto de un buen desayuno como cualquier otra comida (tostadora, licuadora, ollas y demás utensilios y vajilla), la terraza es muy vivible, incluyendo la parrilla. Antes de que llegáramos al condominio, recibimos una mensaje con un completo instructivo de cómo usar todas las instalaciones y donde encontrar cada cosa (hasta conservadora para llevar a la playa había!). El complejo en donde está el apartamento, es muy nuevo y con buenas instalaciones (piscinas, parrillas, juego para niños), seguridad al ingreso. Recomiendo tener vehículo para moverse por la zona, ya que se llega muy rápido al centro de Playa del Carmen (11 minutos aprox.), salida a la carretera principal, menos de 3 minutos; playas públicas, menos de 10 minutos.

The apartment is lovely! Very spacious and clean, with everything you need and the beds are not only gorgeous but incredibly comfortable too! The rooftop terrace makes it even more exceptional. We stayed here in February and the weather was perfect! The breeze on the roof was beautiful and the sunset view was amazing 🤩 The location is a little outside of the city, which makes it nice and peaceful but still very easy to catch a cab or rent bikes if you want to get around or go into town (everything you need is about 10-15 mins away). Our host Emma was wonderful too. She was so helpful and always available if we needed anything ❤️ We had such an enjoyable stay and would definitely return here in a heartbeat!
