Restoration Retreat with Pool and Hot Tub!

Our restoration cottage is next to the main house. It is Two-bedroom, one full bath, full kitchen and living spaces. There is a Hot tub for winter guests and a pool for summer guests. There is a pool table in the main space and lounge chairs to relax around the pool. There is a fire pit outside and playground by the pool. Around the back of the house there are beautiful views of the rolling hills countryside. We are just a short walk from the river. There are many quaint restaurant's, parks, and nearby river access points. New Braunfels and San Marcos are not too far away either! Spend this time getting refreshed and make it a time to remember!

This place was good for the price point we paid, but there was several things they could improve on.Bring your own towels. There were only 5 towels left for 6 guests. And those were supposed to be enough to use at the pool and to shower. There were no hand towels or wash cloths either. There is a washer and dryer to use so we went to the store and bought 6 additional towels so that we could have enough to make it through the weekend.The hot tub did not work for the duration of our trip. Pretty bummed about that.Also, there is only one couch for seating in the living room. The space is huge so I think an additional couch would be beneficial. Also, if you plan on using the pull out bed for the couch make sure you bring blankets. There was not an additional blanket to use just a flat sheet.The guest book with information on who to contact, rules, and how to check out needs to be updated. It had all the wrong information.The host was not extremely responsive so keep that in mind.Even though the pool wasn't very clean when we got there, after my husband skimmed it, we really enjoyed it. Bring your own pool toys and floats as there are not any there to use.The pool table was awesome and the living area was spacious. The shower was great too! The air worked great as well!Not a horrible place to stay, but definitely could use a few extras to make our stay more comfortable. Thankfully, there was a huge Walmart 5 minutes down the road.

Family of Four

The place was perfect for my family’s one night stay. The only thing we were disappointed about was not having an actual "hot" tub to soak in at the end of the day. There is a hot tub in the pool, but it is the same temperature as the pool. Other than that it was a great place. We enjoyed having the pool table too.

Excellent Seguin Getaway

We have a young family and were looking for a safe place for a 3 and 1 year old to have fun. The property is very conveniently located and we were able to get a lot of swim time in over the weekend while enjoying the local food scene. Our host was incredibly responsive to all our questions and is by far the friendliest host we've ever had!

Quiet getaway

Our family of 6 adults enjoyed our stay. Hosts were easily reached to answer questions. Couch pulls out to a bed for guests 5 and 6(couldn't find sheets for it,so we used a sleeping bag on top the mattress). Still needs a small trash can for the bathroom

Did NOT meet our needs.

The size of house was good. The pool/hot tube access was great. Unfortunately we had to buy blankets for our children. Not great when you fly in from PDX. I wish this rental had more towels they only had 5. My son had to sleep on couch. I would have liked to know this place isn’t family of 6 friendly. My one son slept on floor in closet. My daughter slept on floor in other closet.Coffee mugs were limited-they supplied 2. No shower rug to step on after shower. Floor was slippery when wet. Privacy curtains would have been great for all windows. There was no broom and dust pan for sweeping. Having access to washer and dryer would have been great. But note on machines said for extended renters only. I wish it had been better supplied. For example scissors, more mugs, an outside light from car to gate would have been handy. Appropriate amount of towels. Washcloths. A sigh for renters to know where to go. Thankfully the owners live on same property and they were home to let us know where to go. The numbers in the guest book need to be up-dated. We made due with what we had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a family of 6.

Arrived after dark, no light to entrance, uneven ground with tree roots in path, dark at door to try opening coded lock, air cond. filter was stopped up with dust had to remove to cool down pool house, no trash receptacle in bathroom, no wash cloths provided, sink stopper was missing, shower drain was so slow standing in water 2 inch deep, tare in blind over toilet, no curtains in living area for private time.

Cute stay

My party stayed for two nights and it was decent . My biggest issue with the property was the yard was not very well taken care of. The grass was very high and I had two smaller dogs so I was very nervous when they were outside. other then that the place was very good for what we needed and the pool table and outdoor pool were a nice touch. The host had excellent communication and we're friendly !

Amazing stay!!

This place was everything we needed and more! The owners live in the house next door and were available but also stayed away to give us some privacy. The pool was perfect and everything was as described. We would definitely love to stay here again and we highly recommend this place for anyone looking for somewhere in Seguin!

Accuracy of information

The listing needs to state that the rental is actually on the owner property and part of it. We had no idea we would actually be in their back yard. No one bothered us but it interferes with thinking you are on you own private vacation. The listing shows a playground are for children which I thought my granddaughter was going to be able to enjoy but its actually in their back yard and run down, couldn't play on it. The inside of rental needs furniture update badly.

Hidden Gem

Loved the quiet neighborhood and privacy fence. Pool was great as was hot tub. Beds are full size but very comfortable. The open concept of living room and kitchen created a loud noise level but LOVED the indoor pool table. Kitchen is roomie and has the basic items needed. Shower pressure is amazing but do watch the hot water - it does get HOT, so be sure to check before getting. Driveway parking for one vehicle, would ask about additional parking if more than one vehicle is coming.

A place for family relaxation.

Clean, spacious, private, quiet and accessible. The pool and pool table provided hours of entertainment. We appreciated the helpful attitude of the owners when we had to change the dates due to circumstances out of our control.

Wonderful Property, Fantastic Vacation

The property surprised me in being larger than anticipated. The entertainment room was huge and spacious with a nice kitchen area. The pool was clean and ready to swim, absolutely will stay again if we visit San Antonio again.

Perfect weekend getaway

Property was exactly as described. My husband described the mattress as “too firm” when we got there but I thought it was perfect and in the morning he admitted he slept wonderfully. Would definitely stay again.

The pool house is nice 2 bedrooms perfect! loved the pool and shot a lot of pool recommend take out the stereo system that was not working loved our stay and owners quickly respond to ur needs! Def stay here again

Relaxing Experience

The reviews said that the property had sheer curtains with no privacy. We asked the host if we could use the sun shade. He replied yes. We had privacy the whole trip. Very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. Over all we would stay here again.

Wonderful stay

The house is spacious and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a welcome sight after long days. Kitchen was spacious with all the necessary amenities. Large bathroom, bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much! This property is in great location and is very relaxing. The beds are super comfortable. The grandkids loved the swimming pool and playground. Would definitely would stay here again.

There is something so wonderful about the Texas Hill Country and while we are on the outskirts of the Hill country in Seguin, you still get a beautiful glimpse into the rolling terrain nature has to offer.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are about 20 minutes from New Braunfels and Gruene and all it has to offer with shops, river, and nature. We are about 30 minutes from San Marcos with similar features. All the best life has to offer. You should love it here!
