Restoration Retreat with Pool and Hot Tub!

Our restoration cottage is next to the main house. It is Two-bedroom, one full bath, full kitchen and living spaces. There is a Hot tub for winter guests and a pool for summer guests. There is a pool table in the main space and lounge chairs to relax around the pool. There is a fire pit outside and playground by the pool. Around the back of the house there are beautiful views of the rolling hills countryside. We are just a short walk from the river. There are many quaint restaurant's, parks, and nearby river access points. New Braunfels and San Marcos are not too far away either! Spend this time getting refreshed and make it a time to remember!

House was nice and relaxing. Pool was cloudy, stagnant, and dirty so we got in for a few minutes and didn’t feel comfortable with all the bugs floating around next to us so we got out. I’m guessing the jets don’t turn on to churn the water and the motorized pool cleaner never moved. That was a bit of a let down. Otherwise, we had a great time.

The home was clean, the beds comfortable. Great size and location. However, there was no wifi. It looked like the main house had internet but there was very low signal. A message to the host went unanswered. The one television had no remote and, since there was no internet, even a remote app was useless. The property had clean, quality towels for guests, but no wash cloths or extra toilet paper.The most disappointing part was the pool. The flagstone surround was broken and chipped and the pool itself was desperately in need of cleaning. Sand and algae covered the bottom and steps. The loungers were broken, if usable. With better management, this could be an amazing rental. But we would not recommend without assuring the property had been better maintained

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much! This property is in great location and is very relaxing. The beds are super comfortable. The grandkids loved the swimming pool and playground. Would definitely would stay here again.

I found the listing to be misleading. Upon arrival, we parked in the driveway & noticed a house directly in front of the driveway, with a fence to the left. There were no instructions indicating that the main house is not the property listed on VRBO. We eventually navigated through the fence on the left & discovered a pool house in the backyard of the main residence. Inside the pool house, the space was clean, but there were only 3 towels available for the whole house & just 1 roll of TP. There were no paper towels. The listing mentions a pull-out couch in the living roomarea, this room has multiple windows w/ no privacy curtains, allowing visibility into the pool house from the main house where the host & their child live. We did not feel comfortable sleeping on the pull-out couch due to the lack of privacy. Additionally, there were no extra linens for the pull-out couch anyways.The contact info provided in the guest handbook was also outdated. The listing states that the river is only a 5 mim walk from the VRBO. While this is accurate in terms distance, it is important to note that there is no direct public access to the river, the surrounding areas are private residential properties.The listing photos appear to be taken at angles that obscure the fact that the pool house is situated on the backyard of the main house. If the listing had been accurate about the proximity of the pool house and the lack of privacy and solitude, I likely would not have chosen listing.

We always ask guests to read the details of our property thoroughly. We state on all of our listings that this is a guest home and not the main residence. There is a pull out couch and linens. They probably could not find in the multitude of cabinetry. We provide one of the essentials, pertaining to toiletries, and guests who need more are expected to purchase that on their own due to the fact that many guest try to take advantage of extras. There are outside pull downs between the house and windows for extra privacy, but the pictures clearly show that there are many windows. We ask our guests with extra needs to please reach out. We do our best to accomodate guests who try to communicate their extra needs throughout their stay or prior. Sorry for any inconvenience or misunderstanding we want our guests to feel at home. Nice little getaway spot. The kiddos enjoyed the pool and spa as well as the playground and pool table. Will defiantly return if we are ever in Seguin again!

There is something so wonderful about the Texas Hill Country and while we are on the outskirts of the Hill country in Seguin, you still get a beautiful glimpse into the rolling terrain nature has to offer.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are about 20 minutes from New Braunfels and Gruene and all it has to offer with shops, river, and nature. We are about 30 minutes from San Marcos with similar features. All the best life has to offer. You should love it here!
