House was beautiful and very clean! The couches downstairs are very comfortable and so were the beds. I would recommend renting a car for this area and if you do there is a secure garage to keep it in. Would definitely stay again!

Newcastle WA home

Came to visit with family in the area. . .house was close to everything. . . Downtown Seattle, Brown's Point Lighthouse in Tacoma, athletic fields, etc. We even braved the traffic to go to Anacortes to hop a ferry to San Juan Island and spent the day there touring the whole island.Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Will definitely rent again.

Wonderful Home & Great Location

The house is conveniently located to the 405 making it simple to do all things in the Seattle area. House is very well stocked with everything needed to be comfortable and plenty of space for our group of 7 to spread out.

Great house and location

I needed a house that could both sleep a decent amount of people, and be located close to all the activities for the weekend. It delivered! The house was very nice, large, in a good neighborhood and close the freeway for easy travel (couldn't even hear the freeway). The homeowners were friendly and ready to reach. I would stay here again!

Weekend stay

Exactly what we needed for the weekend. A lovely home for a weekend away with family. Close to the freeway, grocery, etc. Many items, other than perishables where well provided and in good stock.

Good family space

Nice, open spaces for family gatherings! The rooms were nice as most of them were upstairs. I would recommend no more than 8 adults for the sleeping arrangements. The hosts were very gracious, and let us drop off our luggage before the check-in time so we could go sight seeing. The outdoor space provided was a nice deck off of kitchen. Overall, we had a great stay here!

Seattle with Sisters' Families

Enjoyed our stay! House was spacious for our large group - 6 adults and 5 young adults. We only cooked in breakfast but the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. We did take out one night and everyone was able to dine together at the dining room table. Plenty of fans available to circulate the air for hot summer nights. Very good location for visiting Seattle sights. Hosts were very responsive to any questions.

Family Thanksgiving

The house was large enough for our group with two table options (kitchen and dining room) where we could all eat together which is something I look for when renting a house since we could most meals. The kitchen was equipped with the necessary tools to cook our Thanksgiving dinner. The communication with the owners was great and their response to an issue that arose was quickly addressed.

Vacation rental

Outlets in upstairs bathrooms did not work. Told owners and they wanted us to mess with fuse box, not comfortable with this. Rooms upstairs were too warm, only 2 fans for 4 bedrooms. Had to run from bathroom to bathroom for TP. Experience could have been better. Other things but will stop here.

Renters beware - there are renters are in the basement.

We personally wouldn't have booked this VRBO had we known this information up front. We left after one night as we didn't know the basement was rented out as a separate listing until we received the lock combination email notice. When we arrived, we could smell the dinner from the other renters. At 2 am, the other renter pulled into the driveway and their headlights were shining into the front bedroom for 15 minutes. With respect to the house, it was cleaned and vacuumed but it is dated with stains on the carpets and the furniture is old and mismatched. The t.v. space is not ideal and the furniture is low. One of the chairs in the living room is stained at the neck rest. The double oven microwave is taped shut but they did have a stand alone microwave. The office door has shiny wrapping paper taped to each glass pane to create privacy. Overall, we were disappointed with the fact that the listing doesn't mention there is a separate rental in the basement. We had to book a hotel.

Comfortable place

In town for a funeral. I needed a place for traveling family to mix and mingle and visit. It's a GREAT space for that. There are people who live underneath the house, I read that in the review, so that wasn't a surprise. When I got there fortunately the owner was there, she told me we'd be sharing the washer and dryer with the tenants who live under the house. They have access to it through the garage. That's the same key for the front door. That's not a good situation, fortunately it wasn't an issue in our case. But would have been nice to know before booking. You can park 5 cars, ALL parking must be on the driveway. There is no street parking in front of the house. The gravel area is reserved for the tenants who live in the lower level. If you visit this property in the spring. Be aware of the cottonwood tree. It leaves sticky bulbs all over your shoes and the carpet of your car and you can't clean them off easily because of the gummy reside. The front of this house is COVERED in those sticky bulbs, But I don't believe it stains. The carpet of the rental car is a disaster from this tree. I guess this only happens in the spring, but not sure. Using the garage entrance helps some with that problem, however if tenants need the laundry room all of our shoes would be in the way.WONDERFUL host! Responsive and very KIND! Great location, close to hwy. A very good meeting place for my family, thank you Starla.

Very warm welcoming house close to everything

Loved staying at the property. We were three families with kids. The house is very spacious equipped with everything you need. Hosts are fabulous and respond quickly to any communication. We would definitely come back and recommend this place.

Perfect getaway for family

The house was fabulous and Starla was very communicative. We loved coming back to this peaceful setting each evening. The only negative I could even think to add would be that we missed that there is a suite in the basement that is rented out as well. It made for some funny conversation when we heard low voices the first time during a lull in our card game. Once we realized what was going on we were totally fine. It was well stocked and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.
