Beach Vacation Home, Filtered Pool and Waterfall (Pet Friendly)

Casa Pura Vida is a tropical 2 story vacation home located in the port of Chabihau, Yucatan. It is designed for the traveler who wants to be away from the city life, and in a tropical setting! You will enjoy sunsets by the sea, beautiful starry skies and if you are lucky, which is most of the time, you will see Flamingos! You will slip into soft comply sheets at night and have the best night sleep. It truly is a tranquil slice of heaven.

Casa Pura Vida Yucatan is vacation home with a filtered pool and waterfall; it even has a full size gym!

This spacious home has 2 large bedrooms, with very comfortable beds, cozy comply sheets and pillows for a great nights sleep. There is also a futon in the large home gym with air conditioning and a private bathroom/shower. The master suite has a king size bed with its own bathroom, which features a double shower and double sinks. The second bedroom has 2 custom queen beds with twin bunkbeds and its own bathroom and shower as well. Each bed has its own set of reading lights and charging stations.

For those of you who like to stay fit there is a large home gym connected to the house. It has air conditioning and a TV. The space also has a futon and another bathroom. A 9th person could comfortably sleep here.

This home is unique with upside down living. Upstairs has a large airy open space floorplan, spacious kitchen - loaded with all the amenities, dining room, family room and covered balcony with Palapa. In addition, for the parent's, we also provide a children's table with chairs, a highchair, a security gate, portable crib and bath tub.

Air conditioning in every room, and Starlink WIFI throughout the house.

Lovely house, nice people

Chabihau is a very smaĺl coastal gulf village. Limited groceries, restaurants, yes, but wonderful scenery around the area. Coastal road further east and the various small roads leading directly to the inland market towns give you a true flavor of this area of Yucatan. You can't find it anywhere else. And FLAMINGOS!! Wow. While we were there, 10 days, some stormy weather, we saw literally hundreds and hundreds in the estuary that borders the sea all along from Progreso to Chabihau. I have never seen so many in all our 32 years of staying along this gulf coast area. Fabulous. One is really coming to see the estuary, the salt pans, the tiny fishing villages, the inland market towns, and the native people. And to have a very nice house to come back to, right on the main highway, and enjoy some impressive sunsets.

Amazing Stay

Beautiful, elegant, clean and just an overall great experience. Mike and Rene are wonderful! So attentive to our needs. We had a lot more than we expected as far as amenities, the pictures don't do it justice! it's just a beautiful, and clean home with excellent care for guests, anything we needed, was easily accessible. The town and the people of Chabihau are wonderful and respectful. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking to stay with a partner or family. Beautifully decorated and well thought of layout for everyone to feel comfortable. We were able to cook when we wanted or go out to eat. So comfortable! A special Thanks for Mike and Rene!

We. Loved. This. Place. If you don't like long reviews, bottom line: we'd book this home again.

We came (party of 5) to Mexico for a relaxing vacation and birthday celebration for my 8 year old. We were looking for something quiet, with a pool, near a beach. We got everything we were hoping for! The pictures on the website are accurate, but it’s waaaay better actually being in the home. 

 Casa Pura Vida, Yucatan was beautiful. The high ceilings and big windows gave the home lots of soft, natural lighting and made it so spacious and breezy. You’re going to love it. The paintings and the beach themed touches throughout the house really accented the design of the home perfectly. 


 The attention to detail by Mike and Rene was unmatched in my experience with vacation rental properties. Everything that you need is already there. Everything. The kitchen was fully stocked. I only bought the food that I cooked. There was no shortage of kitchenware when we cooked. You could tell that the owners really thought about making this place your beach home away from home. 

 There were board games to play and books to read. The TV’s are there if you need them, while not being the center of the room. I loved that. There was a whole gym above the garage!! With its own full bathroom!! We truly felt so at home at Casa Pura Vida. 

 The pool was great! The kids really had a fabulous time and we all loved how pretty the colored lights made the pool area at night. We spent some portion of everyday enjoying the pool.

 The rooms were both beautiful. The bunk bed design in the 2nd room was awesome. That was one of the features that stood out to us when were still searching. All the beds were comfortable and there was a reading light and outlet at each bedside. That was such a thoughtful but practical touch!

 Mike and Rene were wonderful hosts. They were both so friendly and super helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. They were gracious enough to exchange our dollars for Pesos since we never hit a bank on our way in. Mike helped us navigate the nearby area to find markets, restaurants, and beaches. They brought us fresh coconut water when my son inquired about the coconut trees. Not to mention the valentine's day chocolates, sweet bread, and wine awaiting us when we arrived. The whole thing was just perfect! 

If you can’t tell by now, we were completely enamored with Casa Pura Vida. We had such a wonderfully relaxing time. My son has already requested it, and we all agreed: We will definitely come back.
