Cozy Cottage in the Woods

A beautiful 1 bedroom cabin in the woods of Door County 8 mins from downtown Egg Harbor and 5 mins from the best beach in the area (Frank Murphy Park Beach)

The Space
Welcome to our Cozy Cottage by the lake! This cabin is tucked away on about an acre and a half of wooded land. This property can be enjoyed all year long! You can enjoy the wood burning fireplace and proximity to Egg Harbor in the winter, watch the wild life come alive in the spring, relax after a day at the beach in the summer, and take in the seasonal colors and fall festivities!

The house accommodates 4 people with full 1 bed and a queen pull out couch.

We have high speed wifi that can stream TV. It includes a mesh router and 2 extenders to get wifi in and out of the house.

The TV in the Living room is a Amazon Fire TV. You can download and log into any app and stream from your profile.

Central heating & Air

Kitchen Amenities:

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, Coffee Pot and Toaster. We also include some pots, pans, crockpot, strainers, cups, plates, mugs, wine glasses, Tupperware (please don't take), silverware and other basic baking supplies

We do have a second unit on the property that could be rented to a separate group. You won't share any space other than the driveway.
Other things to note
• All guests must be 25+ (children with parents okay)
• 4 person max
• 2 vehicle max
• No parties or events
• No smoking
• No pets
• We provide a start of toilet paper and paper towels but you may need to buy more for longer stays. That includes 2 rolls per bathroom and 2 paper towel rolls.
• We provide a starter amount of dish soap. If you need more please buy your own.
• We have a hairdryer
• We supply hand soap
• We do not supply any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash.
• The fireplace is not available for use from April 1 - October 1
• In the fireplace on months please open the flue when being used and close it when you are done. The handles get hot so please be careful.
• No late check out or early check-in. If you arrive early or check out late there will be a $50 charge per.
• No fires outside of the fileplace including candles.

I'm sorry, I didn't post this review I hope. We loved our stay. I give the cabin at least 4 stars. The reason for the 4 stars was the bed. It was uncomfortable and a regular size.

Nice cabin. Clean, bright, spacious and blissfully quiet! Tucked back in amongst the aspens, oaks & maple trees. Hubby & I are somewhat "long in the tooth" so we aren't smart enough to figure out the smart TV! We were perfectly fine with that though. Our intent was to photograph the color and milky way! Mission accomplished.

Nice clean place, host was super quick to respond to issues. Beautiful location. If you need internet for anything it’s hit and miss- and make sure you realize the bed is only a full size bed- not at all comfortable for two average sized adults. The pullout sofa bed is awfully uncomfortable. Husband and I alternated nights of who got to sleep in the bed. Also note, for those that enjoy watching tv in bed- there is NO tv in the bedroom. So for a very basic place- it’s nice, just not comfortable sleeping arrangements and sketchy internet. Hosts were amazing and accommodating as could be- thank you

Very nice, clean, and comfortable cabin. We enjoyed the quiet and solitude. We didn't cook, but the kitchen seemed to be well supplied. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Overall a good experience. WiFi wasn’t working most of our trip and there’s little to no reception. The woods in the back was absolutely gorgeous. House had minimal cooking tools but other than that they set up well. Pull out is very thin and uncomfortable so bring an air mattress/plan to sleep on the couch if you need more than 1 bed! Appreciated the games they had available! Made good use of UNO that weekend!

It was a wonderful location in the beautiful woods just outside of Egg Harbor. Even though our children were frustrated by the lack of dependable wifi we found it relaxing to be disconnected with the outside world with all its worries and concerns. We are already talking about renting the cabin either this fall or next summer.

Quick Getaway

My husband, adult and teen sons, and I decided on a quick getaway to Door County at the end of July 2025. We saw this property was available for the days we needed, and we were happy with its location between Carlsville and Egg Harbor (plus private and quiet) but has easy access to everything. The property is quiet, extremely clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. While it does share a lot and driveway with another property, windows don't face them and you only see woods. The owners are very responsive. We had not been left enough towels, and our request for one more set was immediately addressed! Questions were always answered practically instantly! The booking, check in, check out, access and directions were all easy to follow. The TV does require you to access accounts through your own account credentials for apps, but we were so busy it was not a big issue for us. The county park about a mile away was a bonus too. This property has a queen size pull out couch and one bedroom. Bring extra pillows if using the the couch. I would absolutely stay here again! If was very spacious and comfortable for the four of us.

Very clean, neat, and tidy property. Cozy cabin in the woods describes it perfectly: beautiful woods, very private and quiet, neighbors close enough but not too close. Cabin is well equipped, the exit brings out you to beautiful Bayshore Drive.I highly recommend this location.

Just as advertised - cozy and in the woods! The space is updated, clean, comfy, and in a great location. Minutes from the beach and Egg Harbor. We would definitely consider staying again.

Not bad!

Very clean cabin in the woods! Although bed is pretty small for two adults and reclining sofa in the living room, that’s supposed to be a queen size, is not very comfortable! So I would say this is a little bit overpriced because family of four cannot stay there! Even for two it wasn’t very comfortable to sleep! Everything else is very good!

Cute Cabin in Door County

Cabin was very cute and right in the middle of the woods. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our hosts were very responsive if we had any questions. We would definitely stay ,again! Great ,trip!
